I Need Help Naming My OC. Anypony Care To Help?

Hello, everypony!

 

I just finished creating an OC, but obviously I am having trouble naming him.

I'm not an expert when it comes to original ponies, let alone providing a backstory to one! But I felt like I had to make one anyway.

 

My goal was to steer clear of the usual OCs that get tossed about. 

You know what I mean. The black and/or white Alicorns with bat wings and red eyes and yadda yadda yadda. Yea. No thanks.

 

I feel like I whipped up a pony that is at least pleasant to look at, and I'm proud of myself. 

 

He is a pony who is sarcastic in almost every conversation; sometimes he acts like this by accident, but that's his nature. He is also apart of the Cutie Mark Crusaders! For a pony who is apart of a group like this, you would think he would be very social. Truth is, he has a very independent state of mind. He usually just listens to music all day, tuning everypony around him out. But if he is in the mood, he can really work hard in physical activities. For instance, he is a pretty swell flyer, and he teases Scootaloo sometimes about it. And like Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle and Applebloom, he is unsure what his special talent is, but at least he knows that it is a smart idea to take it slow. There is no need to rush for his cutie mark.

You can also view him in my current Avatar, although he does look old enough to have his cutie mark already. That doesn't matter to me.

 

I have been trying to come up with a name for him all day, but nothing is clicking. To anypony reading my great wall of text, what name do you think suits him? Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Because of his colors, I would go with something that has the prefix "Toxi-" or "Toxic".  I was never to good with names, but I also would suggest using this prefix because your avatar pic of him doesn't seem to make him look like the most protagonistic pony around

 

But really, something also related to his sense of sarcasm would fit the second half like "Toxic Joke".  I don't know.  I'm just tossing around a few ideas, again I'm not great with names.

I would go with something physical, make it about his physique and skill. Something like "Ebon Hoof" or "Ace" or emphasize his independent streak with a name like "Cloudrunner" or "Bolt"

I'm liking the name 'Ebon Hoof' at the moment.

 

Yea, I like the sound of that. This is good news to me, and now what I really need is a backstory.

The only things I mentioned was his personality.
