Dusk rubbed his head, "I'm good, dont worry about me" he said without looking at Star, but instead taken in by the scenery around him. As he looked around, he noticed the Stars horn start to glow, and he stepped back a little with a concerned look on his face - "W-what are you d-doing?" he stammered.

Scamps, still plastering a smile on her face, watched as the colts shook hands. "Sorry, Goldseek. I shouldn't have gone off too far. I'm a bit careless and klutzy sometimes...." she sighed, remembering all too well the last time she was a klutz. "Err....anyways, do you guys want to go get food? I hear there's some in the vineyard. I just wanted you two to meet each other..." She said, having no idea what to say. She almist wished she was almost with only one of them; she could laugh with Goldseek, and find understanding with Somber. An dthat's when it hit Scamps; 'I'm going to have to choose......and leave....the other.....'

"I guess... I'll go with you for food, Scamps...", Somber said, looking back at Scamps with a sheepish smile. He was curious of how she thought about him... Did she even remotely like him as more than a friend? Maybe getting some food will settle this odd dilemmas...

"So you are saying that we need to stick close together?"

He stepped a little closer to her and grinned, and laughed heartily on the inside.

"Because you are opening up well, but staying close to you may get you nervous again... I don't wanna make you nervous again..."

Evergreen hid a small smile as she said, "That's not what I said. I just don't fancy the idea of you getting lost. I don't want to have to spend an hour looking for you in here." 

Her eyes widened slightly as he moved closer to her side, but other than that, Eve showed no signs of alarm. She wasn't even sure it had happened, and if it had, it had been subtle. Bravo.

"When I was..taken.. The ponies that took me did terrible things to me..I can't tell you what right now.. But it was horrendous.. I couldn't escape no matter what I tried, and when they caught me trying to escape, the torture would start again.. I finally gave up" Silver felt his tear hit her shoulder and she leaned into him hoping that she would comfort him as much as he comforted her. " I was found a year later, nearly dead in a basement somewhere.. I can't remember the city.. And was returned to my parents, but since then I've been cautious and afraid of every strange pony. Leaf, you're the first pony I've felt comfortable around for a very long time."

Leaf had heard every part of her story, it actually seemed worse than his own past. It actually put a tear in his eye and landed on Silver's shoulder. He wasn't really suspicious like most ponies would. "I'm friends with most ponies, but you seem to be the nicest one I ever met..."

Evergreen hid a small smile as she said, "That's not what I said. I just don't fancy the idea of you getting lost. I don't want to have to spend an hour looking for you in here." 

Her eyes widened slightly as he moved closer to her side, but other than that, Eve showed no signs of alarm. She wasn't even sure it had happened, and if it had, it had been subtle. Bravo.

 

"The only way for me not to get lost is to stay close to you. So, if you'll excuse me..."

He didn't edge too much closer, but he still was a bit close.

"If you start getting uncomfortable, just let me know, and I will back off a bit. It's just... I don't want to get lost myself... it's not a selfish thing, just- I'd hate for you to waste time."

Somber grabbed a glass of punch, looking back to Scamper.

 

"I'm a songwriter... Mainly explains why I have a guitar with me most of the time...", he explained while sipping his punch. He felt a bit more happy with being around Scamps... Like, he wasn't so shy around her...

After wondering around, Looking at some of Evergreen's flower's, Rain walked over to the snack table, This time he made sure not to get his antler's caught up in the tree's.

 

 

Diamond walked with Marisa to the snack table. She grabbed a glass of water then trotted over to the dance floor. She sat down on a small stone bench and sipped her water with her magic. *Now who do I talk to ?* She thought.

"We've somehow strayed off the path. I can't see it anywhere, so I'm going to teleport us to the entrance," Star Rain answered. She wasn't about to teleport until she got Dusk's approval. "If that's ok with you," she said, half-stating, half-asking. Her horn was still glowing cyan without doing anything.

Leaf had heard every part of her story, it actually seemed worse than his own past. It actually put a tear in his eye and landed on Silver's shoulder. He wasn't really suspicious like most ponies would. "I'm friends with most ponies, but you seem to be the nicest one I ever met..."

Silver felt his tear and looked at him. She was surprised, she hadn't expected him to react this way. " Thank you, you're the first pony I've trusted ever since I was found... I used to have lots of friends, I wasn't shy..or afraid.. But then.." Silver stopped talking and leaned into Leaf hoping for comfort.. " you're the only friend that I have, I know that sounds weird.. I usually just go to my books for comfort, but then I met you"

Standing there with a shocked look on his face, mouth slightly agape, Dusk somewhat hesitated to answer Star.

"I...I don't" he stammered, before turning around facing away from Star. He then seemed to speak to himself in a really low, husk voice - Go for it, you'll regret it otherwise... - He looked up, straight ahead over the fields, before turning around to Star and looking deep into her eyes. 

 

"Star, I...just...while we're alone" he started, taking a step closer to her "I dont want you to take this the wrong way...but I think it's best if I tell you now" he tilted his head slightly and his ears lowered the slightest fraction "I...y-you...calm...calm...has anypony ever told you how pretty you really are? I know I let it slip earlier but..." a sudden confidence in his voice now "this may not mean much, coming from a pony with my background but you really are the most beautiful, kindest and most talented mare I have ever met. I understand how that sounds and you probably hear it all the time but...from where i'm standing it's the honest truth."

 

After saying this, Dusk flared a red so bright, if his coat wasn't dark purple he wouldn't even have to try to blend in with the roses that surrounded him. His ears also drooped a little more, and his stance lowered, fearing the worst. "I just...I-I-I had to tell you, and I couldn't think of a better time..." he waited for a second "at least you can leave me here now if you want." He was half joking, but also half expecting her to just teleport away and leave him in the flower garden.

Evergreen felt a twinge of discomfort, but brushed it off. This colt was nice and rather sweet, and she was at home, in her garden, where she belonged... "No, you're fine," she said as he inched closer, and they rounded a corner. They had reached the portion of the hedge maze that incorporated topiary sculptures into the maze. Not like the ones in the Prancing Oval; These were formed into fantastic geometric shapes and patterns. "So..." Eve sat on a bench that was formed out of a still-living tree. "You wanted to talk one-on-one?"

Goldseek snapped out of his daze, and walked over to the food table with Scamps and Somber. Were Somber and Scamps together? He picked up some hay fries and tried to start a conversation. "So, you guys already know each other?" To be honest, he was scared of the answer.

She then looked at Somber, a slight look of nervousness on her.face. "We met once, but, it was only a brief time, and I try not to think about it...He's just a friend I was checking up on." She said. She knew she was lying to herself then, it sounded like she had made a decision. Either way, it would sound like she loved one and not the other. 'Why is this so complicted?' She screamed in her head.

Then he thought. If Somber is just a friend to her, What am I? Goldseek wondered about this, still staring at the gorgeous mare in front of him.

Scamps had never been more nervous. She felt as if she wa ssweating everywhere, even though she wasn't. She knew she needed an answer by sunrise,.or else she would have nopony. 'What do I do?' She thought. 'I can't just leave them...and mhself....hanging here!' She sighed. She knew what had to be done. "Okay, truth is, he's not just a friend. But....you're not either. I've some how managed to get caught up in a live trainger thing....I don't know which one of you I love more, which one I truly love, and I'm just really confused right now! I don't know if time alone will help, or if time with each of you seperately will, or what. I....I just don't know....."

Goldseek looked into Scamps' eyes. She was truly distressed, forced with having to choose between himself or Somber. He tried to think. What could he do? He couldn't compete with Somber, that would be rude and probably make it harder on Scamps. What to do, what to do. "I'm... Sorry. If you like, I could leave for a bit?"

She looked up. She didn't want it to seem like she was not choosing Goldseek, but she needed to talk to Somber. "I would like that. I....I really need to talk to Somber first. It may tale a while...so we'll probably be gone. But I will come back for you, Goldseek. I promise."

 

She then turned to Somber. "Where should we go to talk? I kinda want somewhere private...I don't want any other pony to hear this besides you."

And such compliments are rare. "Thanks for all of that, but I guess I didn't word it correctly. I'm going to teleport BOTH of us out!" she continued on. Her horn was still glowing and not doing anything/

Somber was quite surprised by her saying he was more than a friend. And that she wanted to be somewhere private. He looked around for any such place.

 

"Uh... We could try the pond... I think there's no ponies there.", he suggested, scratching the back of his neck nervously.

He stood there slightly bemused, unsure of what impact if any his words had just had. Dusk felt slightly numb now - I can't believe I just did that...I feel like such a fool - he thought to himself sadly, the look of embarrassment and sadness creeping onto his face.

 

He didn't say anything, he just looked down at the floor with his ears plastered to his head and nodded slowly.

I mean, lucky they decided to invite you, huh?" With that note ringing an especially awkward tune in Eve's head, she inched ever so slightly away from him. She didn't really know what to say, embarrassingly enough.

He noticed her slight movement and sat there in silence for a moment, almost ashamed that he had put her in this position. Her comment was a bit awkward, and he flushed a slight red, making the coat on his face a bit purple. After a pause, he decided to talk.

"So who did send out the invites if it wasn't you..?"
