 "Actually, i know this is weird, but i hate cupcakes... they are just way to sweet... its almost disgusting." she said to Slicer as she dug through her saddle bag.

what a strange question to ask... never the less, it looks like i have everything... oh! my canteen needs a refill... she thought.

she quickly had a bar tender fill her canteen with water and bring it back to her, she then placed the canteen back into her saddle bag.

"I am Démence. And you?" Démence wasn't overly excited about getting acquainted with the other ponies, but it was something he had to do. It would at least be something to do while waiting to leave, plus he might find something about his accomplices that he can use to save his own life.

Arctic gave him a confused look for a second and then simply grunted a "mhmm" at him. 

She turned to the other unicorn she was with "What was that about?" She inquired, before changing her question "So then, what might your name be?" She asked, eyeing her horn curiously.

This one MAY be trustworthy. We'll just have to see what happens. After a couple minutes, she walked up to Arctic and said,"Star Rain." She then drank up her water to give herself an excuse to not talk and then ordered another glass of iced water. She levitated the ice out of that jar and dropped them into her canister of water.

Leaf felt a bit disgusted, after Wind Slicer showed off his teeth, it made a somewhat pale green on his face. "M'name's Leaf Orange." he answered.

Autumn listened to Slicer talk to another  pony.

she lifted her head when she heard mention of her name.

"There aren't many zebras in Equestria. Which is good for me. I hate my own kind. How hilarious." He started laughing again, but quickly stopped. "I had to sneek into this damned tavern, avoiding the sight of any other zebras, because if I'm spotted, I'm gonna be back in my damned jail cell. Nice to meet you Leaf." Of course, when he said that, he was lying. It wasn't nice to meet anyone.

"I'll be right back Aqua, again - a pleasure" She then trotted over to North Arrow, who was sitting looking at a book "Hey, apologies for that display earlier - with the table. He was acting a little suspicious, and i'm quick to draw conclusions." She looked down at the ground in shame. "Wont happen again...aside from those...other...few times..." She trailed off as she ended her sentence. "When are we leaving? I dont fare well in heat." She said, shaking frost from her front hooves. 

North nodded, glancing up from the book, which he had flipped open to a different page that was illustrated by the picture of a monstrous squirrel waving a club threateningly. "Don't worry about it, it's fine." He said unconcernedly. "And... We should be leaving soon." He glanced at a pocketwatch he pulled out of one of the many pouches on his saddlebag.

Slicer sipped his beer when Leaf started talking to another pony. "So...Can I just call you Unholy or should I call you by your whole name ?" He asked. "And my I say that you have beautiful eye's." He said, Giving her a very warm smile, He knew that she could not see it.

"I have no idea what i look like, so thank you for the compliment about my eyes."She added.

"Arctic Combustion, but I prefer to be called Frostbite, good to meet you Star Rain", she said with a wink. She made a joking remark about mares having to stick together as she walked past Star to the bar, and filled both her large canteens with water. "Gonna be needing this...and more..." she sighed, ordering yet more water to drink.

"Oh...In that case." He stood up and strapped his bag to his back. "Let's get going...Do you need a hoof or can you manage ?" He asked. *What is up with you ? You're...acting Normal.* *Maybe I just want to be polite.* He thought, Glancing over at North Arrow, Wondering if they would be leaving in a few minutes...Or right now.

"I can manage. no one knows how to get around like me." Unholy said with a laugh and jumped off the bar stool.

Unholy double checked her saddle bag, making sure she had everything, then went to join Slicer and some of the other ponies who were ready to leave.

Aqua asked the staff to fill the other half of his canteen with ice, then sat down in the corner, pulled out the book that he picked up earlier and began reading it to get as much info to what he would be heading into. Even though he over heard everyone getting ready, he did not have to worry about checking he had everything, for he is prepared for most things. But he still have one last check through his satchel.

Arctic smiled at North, who didn't seem to mind her outbursts, and then heard a female voice behind her - she turned to face the Unicorn who had introduced herself as Star Rain. "Gonna be needing this...and more..." she sighed, ordering yet more water to drink. 

"You too," was all that Star Rain responded with. She stuck a hoof into the water in her canister and jerked it out when she felt a cold sensation like a bite spread across her body. She was pleased though, because it meant cold water for the expedition. She then found a hidden fridge and placed her canister inside to keep the water cold. She was pleased that she now has ice-cold water.

Frostbite noticed what Star Rain was doing and she had to smile to herself. "Hey" she laughed, "if you want ice water, all you have to do is ask" she laughed some more, demonstrating what she meant by slightly frosting over her water - not cold enough to break the glass this time, but enough to get the point across. She then drank the water, and by this point she had estimated she must have drank around 40 glasses. "Alright, that should last me a while" she said to herself with an edge of concern "I just hope this jungle is at least humid if it's going to be hot."

Slicer trotted up to North and smiled. "Shall we be off ?" He asked, Happily. *I want to get to this jungle...I want to fight some monster's. It has been a while since we have killed something...I miss it.* *Please...Be patient. We will be there soon enough. I am also rather excited.* He thought.

North nodded, looking around at the congregation of ponies. "Yes, I suppose it is time to head out. Everypony have a copy of the book? Yes? Good. It's about a half-hour walk to the coast, and we'll take a ship from there. We'll arrive in the Amblezon tomorrow morning." North put his book and map back into the saddlebag, and stood up, walking out the open door.

Hearing that they where about to depart, Frostbite checked her saddlebags for the first time - "If i've forgotten anything, it's too late now" she laughed to herself. Content with the few things she had packed, food, water and her copy of the book, she set stood up and stood beside Slicer. "Just how hot is this jungle going to be?" she asked North.

 

((Since she's introduced herself to most ponies here in one way or another, i'm going to start referring to her as Frostbite from now on.))

Slicer walked up next to North. "I uh...I never got a book." He said, Pulling his white hood up to shield his head from the hot sun. "So does it tell us about the things we will encounter ? And I would expect it would be just as hot as it is right now...But more humid." He said, Turning to look at Frostbite.

Leaf heard North giving everyone a heads up if they got the copy of the book. He looked in his bag and found it that was sent with the letter along with the brochure. "I got it." he called out. Leaf then officially took a couple sips of his water.

"Still though, it's a jungle...and as long as it at least plays by the rules of a normal jungle, there should be plenty of moisture around..." she pondered the thought, half speaking to Slicer, half speaking to herself, before she nudged him and said with a worrying smile "Hey, which one of use do you think will die first?"

"If I can help it...one of us are going to die. Usually I would probably choose somepony to die first and then just make it happen. But I have been hired to protect everypony...And if I am protecting than this is going to be like walking through a foal's birthday party...We may even get cake." He smiled at the thought.

He checked his saddlebags a second time to make sure he didny overlook anything. *I shoulda took some cigars.* He thought as he closed his saddlebags and went through the door. He overheared slicer and frostbite talking, and he pulled out his book. "here. I wont need it."
