The Soldier 2,044 January 27, 2013 Share January 27, 2013 A classic. Just a wondering, but I don't want any flame war or anything. Seriously, the mods will lock this up if there is any I'm assuming. Anyway's, half full? Or half empty?
Victor van Dort 202 January 27, 2013 Share January 27, 2013 Half full. I think of it like this: Imagine a bunch of things in a building that is slowly raising the ceiling. Lightning Fluttershy 1,844 January 27, 2013 Share January 27, 2013 Even though I consider myself to be pessimistic, I've always seen the glass as half full. It's more technical reasons though, not mental.
IronPuddinG 249 January 27, 2013 Share January 27, 2013 Neither, there is less in that glass than half-full. I guess that kinda' answers the question. Leafeon 2,702 January 27, 2013 Share January 27, 2013 Well, let's look at this from a colorful point of view. Generally, the background color is either the color that is darker, or the color of the lines (in drawings). OR it's the more dominant color. So a zebra would be considered white with black stripes, because it's belly is white. Since both are clear we can't use that. Why not measure it? See attached. Therefore, the cup is slightly more then half full. 5 Eeveelutions: @Vaporeon: N-Harmonia : Ampharos @Flareon: Descant/Bard @Espeon: Locked @Umbreon: Lhee @Leafeon: Firebolt @Glaceon: Mal @Sylveon: Don'tDropThatDedenne
spas-ticShotty 3,584 January 27, 2013 Share January 27, 2013 That image is so huge I needed to zoom out :c. Hmmm.......it seems a bit small yet it also seems good enough for me................I'll just say it's "half" as a whole.

The Soldier 2,044 January 27, 2013 Author Share January 27, 2013 (edited) Neither, there is less in that glass than half-full. I guess that kinda' answers the question. Just in case for those people who gets seizures for flashing light. Look again at the cup though. Actually look at the squared spots. The thing is that the squared spots do not have FLAT LINES, meaning it is taken not taken at a complete flat angle, but rather a bit above. The more above you are from a cylinder, the more curved the bottom will be, until the top completely covers if seen perfectly above (which makes a circle). And if the bottom is more curved, it means that the measurement of any cylinder will be messed up, even a little. This is quite a bit hard to explain because I can't put it in words well. Edit: Perhaps this makes a better explanation. See this: See how the measure is more shorter at a non-perfect-horizontal angle? It's like the cup. Appetite4Democracy 452 January 27, 2013 Share January 27, 2013 Neither, the glass is twice as large as it needs to be. Beat me to it. Well, Quantum Physicists know that you can't know how much water is in the glass, because by measuring it, you've changed the outcome. And surrealists think that the glass is a slowly rotting lemon. 2 "For those about to rock, we salute you!"- ACϟDCSignature by Gone ϟ Airbourne (click the signature) My Tumblr Member of the Equestrian Gaming Clan
