The dragon’s eyes flickered when felt the fear the Pegasus had for him it added to the concern for his dear alicorn friends. “After all I’m still a monster to their eyes” were his thoughts with pain in his heart

Colt mind was brought back from his fears as a magic explosion filled his sight in a building in front of him. There was a unicorn in a balcony being attacked by some ponies with no mind in them and he was to far to try to reach her. The dragon move a few steps to find a better spot without taking his eyes from the balcony he extended his left claw and a bow made of light materialized from his magic as his eyes sparkled with golden bright.

In seconds he found the right place and lowered his body putting his left leg in front of his body he grabbed the bow and aimed in the direction of the purple young mare his other paw made the movement of graving the bow’s inexistent string and pulled it as far as his chest as he did so from the tips of the bow a line made of lighting started to grow until his claw then extending like an arrow made of purple plasma.He released and in an instant three branches of voltage flew through the air in the direction of the possessed victims attacking the unicorn. (roled Wis 18)

The action could be seen by the ponies close to him (roled Char 8)

Star Rain tried very hard to stay calm and not thrash around. WHAT THE HECK IS IT WITH ME BEING LIFTED OFF THE GROUND TODAY?! she angrily thought, feeling she could've taken care of herself just fine, like she had done so many times in the past. She was pretty amazed at the magic the dragon was using though. She assisted by attacking her attackers with an energy beam, which hit them successfully(I rolled yet another 16 for wisdom!).

"She is not getting down there, its going to get crowded in a moment " Colt thought as he watched a line of “mad ones” rushing into the building. Once again he spread his wings and went to air trying to get her attention.

 

“They are coming for you” he screamed to her. The dragon was worried about this young unicorn she displayed so much courage for her few years and didn’t wanted to see her fall.

"Yes, I do! Now get th' buck off me!" The griffon wriggles, snapping at it bounds. "I'm trying to help!"

"A large sapphire like that must be really big and heavy. I can help clear space in your house, if you know what I mean" Pondah said. "Besides, how much further to your house? I want to see what you've got in terms of weapons. I have never used one so I might need something basic."

"I'm not so sure I'm ready to get rid of it quite yet. I haven't sold it, because anypony who wants to buy it either doesn't know anything about it, or are untrustworthy. And trust me in business, there's a lot of untrustworthy ponies. And to answer that second question, we're just about here."

Colt look forwards to see his house in sight, it's just a medium small house with the canterlot design. They approach the door and Colt pulls out the key and opens the door, revealing a collection of opened books, maps hung on the wall, gems on pedastals, and a pair of hanging steel daggers on the wall.

"Nice to be back in my sweet cluttered home."

I walk over and grab the daggers. As he takes them in his grip, he points over to a rack filled with a walking staff, short sword, a bow coupled with some arrows, and a small tomahawk like weapon.

"Take your pick, only one though. Also not the bow, that's a family heirloom so ill take that one."

After that he walks over to the pedastals and grabs the large sapphire. He quickly puts it in his saddlebag.

"Just in case I'm not coming back. The rules of this are easy, if I die you get this, if not, I can finally see what's really special about this, or at least sell it to a good enough buyer.

"Think I'll go for this sword." Pondah said. He lifted the sword from the rack and gave it the once over. "Got any metal polish, it looks a bit dull. I don't mean to cause offence but I like to keep things clean and neat. But on the plus side, it certainly light enough for me. I'm not the strongest as I've said but at least I can try to fend for myself."

[Admiral Colt 61]

"Yeah, sorry that was mostly for decoration, I don't use the sword that much. The grindstone and polish are out back on the balcony. I usually handle that stuff before bed, that way I can gaze and the sunset while I get the busy work done."

He pauses for a moment and inspects the tomahawk.

"I remember when I got that one. I had to sneak through a packed tribal camp. But it was such a beautiful weapon, I couldn't resist. In the end I was caught and talked my way out by challenging the chief to a battle of wits. To no true surprise I won, and was able to leave freely with the weapon. Lucky for me they weren't savages. Here follow me ill show you to the grindstone."

I wave him over and lead him to the back balcony.

Pondah follows and reaches the balcony whetstone. "Right, everything I need is here. Never sharpened a weapon before but I have read about it." Pondah gets ready to sharpen the sword but hesitates for a moment. "Wait. I don't think I should do this. The noise might attract an army of nut-jobs. But then again, a distraction could give the sane ponies a helping hand. What do you think Colt?"

"I'll watch your back don't worry. Go ahead, all you need to do is push the pedal to spin the stone and place the edge on it. These psycho ponies won't have a chance... I'll be right back, I need to grab something. Don't start quite yet though."

He walks inside and after a few minutes he comes back out with a bow around his back and a quiver of arrows ready.

"Alright, this will allow me to fend them off from up here. I hope I won't have to kill them though... I'll aim for the legs. Best case I only cause an injury. I'm used to killing timberwolves and on incredibly rare occasion a feral manticore, not ponies."

He shakes his head in disgust at the thought and readies his weapon.

"But I digress, go ahead and start it up."

Pondah pushes the pedal and the stone whirs into life. He begins to lower parts of the sword onto the whetstone, creating a sharp grinding sound as the sword begins to sharpen. After some time, Pondah releases pressure on the pedal, lifts his now sharpened sword into the air and gives it a few practice swings. "Seems done to me, not bad for a first try." Pondah says. "Did I attract much attention?"

"No, we're golden. Not bad. Alright. So we're on the far East side of town. What's our next step? Either way we need to stick together, it's the best thing to do in a panic."

He looks back at the sky.

"We should probably figure out why the sky changed colors too... Odds are that's not a good thing. Honestly, I'm not too sure, what's your take on all of this? Any clues?"

"Do you have any idea why they're after me?!" Star Rain shouted back at the dragon. Her horn still glowed, prepared to attack either the dragon or those "ponies", whoever attacked her first. The spreading of the wings made her think the dragon was going to attack her at any given moment. She saw more come and quickly casted an energy spike spell that made cyan spikes drop on them like icicles, but not doing serious harm to them(rolled a 15 for wisdom).

"Well, with the gates shut, we ain't leaving the city easily any time soon." Pondah told Colt. "We can't get into Canterlot Castle either so no major strongholds in the area. The only way I can think to escape is find is for you to fly us out or get a Unicorn to warp us out of here. Your choice."

"I could fly us out... But what if somepony is in trouble. I'd like to save as many as I can. We can get this done more efficiently now that we have weapons. But if you want to leave now, I can try and fly you out, I'm not that strong though."

I stand in place for a minute and see the civilians fighting off the possessed ponies in the distance.

"I'm staying. At least until everypony is safe."

"Ok." Pondah replied. "I stay as well. I couldn't live if I know I just let someone die. We're in this together and I aim to keep it that way. I don't know if I could kill one of the nut-jobs but we can tackle that problems when we come to it. Let's go find some sane ones."

"Well I'm sure there's some still in the main area. I saved a mare from a horde of them earlier, I hope she's still alive. After that I rallied them and they started to fight back more efficiently. Other than that I saw a dragon that might need help, he can handle himself, but against a horde, I don't know. I say we start in the central where the celebration started."

He walks back inside and motions him to follow.

"But if there are others, we're gonna need to earn their trust."

I pick up the Tomahawk from the weapons rack.

"It looks like this is finally gonna be used, I'm glad I sharpened it every day. I'm well acquainted with smaller weapons if you can't tell."

I smile at him as I point out all of the small weapons; Daggers, Tomahawks, Short sword, and a Shortbow. Then hear the ghastly words mentioned across the city.

"Alright... Things just got even more serious. Are you ready Pondah?"

Faced with a powerful opposition, the madponies are slowly driven back against the city walls. They snarl, some leaping out to attack the citizens, but being quickly repulsed. The guard that had been struck first pipes up, his gravelly voice grating against the listeners' ears. "We are just the beginning. Soon, all of Equestria will know His embrace." He chuckles, licking his lips. "If you oppose us, you will die. So choose wisely."

Colt flew closer to the unicorn on the balcony he was able to hear his inquiry just before a shine of magic made a rain of shards over her new attackers. “They are not after you, They are after all of us!” the dragon shouted. “Come on Jump!” he continued with a serious concern on his eyes, she didn’t stand a chance against so many, even less with her back against the end of the building.

 

“Please trust me!” he said while extending his claw towards her

 

He was able to hear all of the babling of the guard that he knocked down firts but now the life of the young mare was the matter.

Star Rain's horn still glowed with a cyan aura that could cast another spell whenever she wanted to, but decided that the dragon was right and that she should jump off. She backed away, then ran toward the edge and jumped onto the dragon's extended claw.

She backed away, then ran toward the edge and jumped onto the dragon's extended claw.

Colt extended his claw and catch the unicorn, then grabbing her other hoof too keep her uninjured right after that he flapped his wings to get behind the line of guards that were by that time controlling the plaza and subjugating the still “savage” citizens.

 

The dragon softly released the unicorn as soon as she touched ground and landed behind her.

“Are you ok miss?” Colt asked to the magical pony.

 

“Looks like the battle is ours, you will be safe here. But the sisters are still in there” He looked into the sky with his eyes filled with worries for his alicorn friends “What the hay is going on up there!”

Solar Flicker looked up at the mad pony, dismay in her eyes. That bolt had nearly fried her. It would only take one fatal strike to make her join the masses. Still, she had to fight back. The fire in her eyes returned and she pulled a knife out of her suit, balancing it delicately on her hoof. "Some say death is but the next great adventure." She snarled. "Charge me and I'll give you an adventure to die for."

"Let's do this." Pondah said, with great morale in his voice. "With a giant horde of nut-jobs, it looks like our best way of surviving would be to help individuals who are being picked on or do small, guerilla style strikes and ambushes. I think first we should find someone who is strong. Let's face it, a treasure hunter and a nerd aren't exactly "warrior material", are they? You lead the way."

[Admiral Colt 61]

"You're right. I'm not the best fighter. I say we get the dragon first, he will definitely be helpful and he saved me, I trust him. We can recruit others as we go. Back to the town center then, and it seems most of the madponies are retreating so it should be easier now. Alright lets go."

He walks out the front door and takes a long look at the scene in front of him.

"The first steps on the road of a new adventure, I guess I'm ready."

Colt looks back and sees Pondah right behind him, then starts to walk towards town center.
