lets get stated. On this thread, there will be a series of questions directed toward you in "would you rather format". You can pick any of the answers and you will be able to discuss the topic in the comments below

1. I'd rather be rich for forty years. That's better than being poor for twice as long.

 

2. I'd rather talk to birds and cats. I don't have much of a reason why.

 

3. I'd rather not know how to write. Because if you can't read, how the hell can you write?

 

4. I'd rather be invincible for 20 years. Again, not a big reason why.

 

5. Rather not be able to read another book. Sorry, but I absolutely love music.

 

6. I'd rather communicate with animals. Humans are humans

 

7. Rather be in the wilderness for 30 days. The only thing worse than being alone, is being stuck in a loud city.

 

8. I haven't read either of these, I'm guessing they're fanfics. I just picked Rainbow Dash.

Very interesting, made me actually think on what I'd choose. 

I think everypony should be given the chance to live in the wilderness for 30 days. Might take some of the more pampered souls of society down a step.

1. I could get a lot more done in those rich 40 years than I could if I was dirt poor for 80 years.

2. If I can talk to fish, I'm essentially Aquaman. That may seem pathetic, but at least I would be a superhero. I would also have the advantage of telling my dog to be quite when he's barking too much.

3. You couldn't survive in modern society without the ability to read so I have to go with that.

4. Invincible, definitely. It would be far more useful.

5. I need to read. Giving up music would be terrible though.

6. Humans are far more powerful than animals. Thus, I would rather be able to communicate with humans than animals. Also, it would just be more useful, especially during my German final.

7. No contest. I would actually want to live in the wilderness for a little while. I think it would be nice.

8. Pinks hands down.

 

Can we request questions for future WYRs? I think you should ask the question, "Would you rather be a hamster-sized rhino or rhino-sized hamster?"

I'd be rich for 40 years and save it wisely.

I'd find it more useful (and enjoyable) to speak to birds and cats.

I'd rather not know how to write since I love to read.

Have the ability to be invisible or 20 years that way I don't have to use it unless I need to.

I need music so not reading overrules that.

Speaking and writing every language fluently would get you hired in many places and do you well for travelling.

Live in the wilderness, I've been homeless and lived in both the street and country, trust me country is better.

I've read neither but from what I understand the Rainbow Factory is quicker.

Of course I'd talk to fish, if you were trapped deep underwater wouldn't you at least want the chance to tell that Anglerfish not to eat you? Also, dogs are cooler, and I've always  wondered what dogs think about.

1. I don't really understand what the downside would be to being rich 40 years? so I guess I'll go with that.

2. I'd rather be able to talk to dogs since I could use that ability with my dog, and fish is a nice added I guess.

3. I don't really mind if I couldn't write. but I could always type so what good is writing besides not being able to read would be annoying at times.

4. I don't really have any amazing uses personally for being able to be invincible for 20 years, especially since I don't do that much of anything dangerous, but I could do all kinds of cool stuff being able to be invisible.

5. Sorry reading, but being a musician, and the fact that I love music means I guess I'll have to choose to give up being able to read.

6. I'd totally love to be able to communicate with animals, it would be more interesting then other languages, I mean not that other languages wouldn't be interesting, but its going to be communicating the same ideas, where as animals could be quiet interesting to listen and talk to.

7. Well.. I've never read Cupcakes, or Rainbow factory, just because I don't want to jeopardize my sanity, but I imagine that being turned into a cupcake would be better then whatever Rainbow Dash does.. I honestly don't know I didn't read either like I said. I don't plan to really either .

- Rather be rich for 40 years cause then you can at least invest it in long term projects and accounts.

- While I'm more of dog person, I doubt I'd ever be able to eat fish again if I could talk to them, so birds and cats it is.

- Rather be unable to write then read, I don't do much writing as it is anyway.

- Invincible cause then I could spend those 20 years going around and doing crazy shit without the fear of dying.

- Ooh, that's a hard one. But considering how much I use music as background noise, I doubt I could give that up so as much as it pains me to say this I have to go with not being able to read another book.

- The sheer amount of uses for knowing every known language on earth both verbally and written is staggering, especially in regards to a career.

- I can't think of anything good about living as a hobo, and given the right amount of prep 30 days in the wilderness can easily be turned into just one long camping trip (though it kind of depends where you are in regards to wilderness). 

- Seriously? That's the pony question? *sigh* I picked Rainbow Dash cause then at least I'd be used to make a rainbow rather than a cannibalistic confectionery. Besides, unless it includes bacon, I doubt meat flavored cupcakes would be very good.

2.cats are my favorite animals and birds are cool too so i pick that.

5.NO! i would die if i couldnt listen to another song ever again!

7.if you live in the wilderness you can at least find something to eat/drink.kinda like in minecraft

1. Live in poverty for 80 years. I don't need money to be happy. Money can't buy happiness, after all.

First was tough, but I've chosen being rich for 40 years. Even if the only thing that would give me real happiness is having someone who loves me (yeah... so cheesy and emotional, I know, but it is true. )

 

2. Dogs and fishes. Because I love dogs and being able to talk with him would make living with this stubborn little thing a lot easier :3

 

3. Not know how to write. Now if You can't even read life would be unimaginable harder. Not to mention- I would not be able to browse forums anymore

 

4. Having the ability to be invicible is better. I'd rather control such things.

 

5. Never read another book. Once again- music is very important thing for me.
