Situational Report: Re-Assigning of Positions

This is just going to be a relatively brief announcement straight from the War Room regarding the changing of a couple roles around these parts.  Nothing too disastrous.

 

First off, as some of you may have noticed, Apocalyptic Chaos is no longer a Sectional Moderator of Octavia’s Hall and has been demoted back to member status.  He has decided to respectfully step down from his position, and all parties are in agreement about the decision.  Rest assured, he will continue to be a valuable member of our community and will be seen around as always.  We appreciate his service to up keeping the high-quality standards of our site and of course wish him the very best of luck.

However, we have a new addition to the ranks of Community Stewards; Artemis.  His dedication to attending Equestria.tv’s streams as well as unwavering maturity has resulted in his being promoted to Community Steward, for the purpose of moderating the Equestria.tv chat-room.  We are all very confident in Artemis’ abilities to make our streams more safe and secure!  If you happen to pass him by, don’t hesitate to congratulate or thank him for his helping hand in keeping things spick and span, just the way we like it.

Also, on the topic of Community Stewards, NASCARFAN160 has also been promoted to Community Steward and will be serving alongside Artemis in the Equestria.tv stream & the Friday announcement topics along with Apple Bloom.  This is not news, as many of you likely know, but this was never formally announced.

That will be all, continue on with your regular duties.  Carry on!

Anywho, I think this is one of those dusting-offs to the staff team that are always good to see. AC never really latched onto the position, and that's completely understandable; as we press to tell absolutely everyone, it's not for just anybody. Even people who are perfectly mature, responsible and patient may simply not have the drive or time. I hope to see you and your cool art around for the foreseeable future, AC~ *shot*

 

And then, I also feel the CS team is now complete. NASCAR was our first CS dedicated to the stream, and now we have Artemis. Up till now, that position didn't have moderation control over the Friday announcement topics in the EQ TV forum xP AB ran everything, alone. Now that, that has been corrected, the three of them should be more than capable of running that forum, and the stream as well, with occasional admin assistance ^^

Honestly, Calamity words his titles as if we were in a state of war. Against whom are we at war Calamity? The Whovians? I wouldn't want to fight them, they have TARDISes. The Trekkies? They'll use their phasers to blast us out of the sky! The Potheads? They'll Avada Kedavra the lot of us.

 

I propose we make peace and silently oppress others over a long period of time. Our long term strategy is infinitely better than using our military powers. Infiltrate their fandoms from the inside and then destroy.

 

I'm an excellent strategist.

 

Also, congratulations to all the new stewards, you must guide the people to the appropriate areas without actually having much tangible powers. Like herding cats I say. Licka till!

I am more than happy to be a big part of the forums' streaming group, I've been enthusiastic about it since I first learned about it last Summer. I have Apple Bloom to thank for encouraging me to be the active participant of the weekly movie nights, I always saw it as something of a fun, community-friendly branch that could really expand into something big.

It is a bit odd having people who've been community stewards be mentioned just now, but I guess I sorta understand.

 

I still wonder how the annoucement never got brought up before now though.

 

Oh well its no big deal I guess , I never really attended the movie nights or even broadcasts of the show much because of being busy or terrible time management skills one, but I'm sure I'll see them elsewhere.(Well actually I already have .)

We'll miss having AC around as a moderator, but I'm happy that he still intends to be an active member on the forums. We all wish him the best of luck and look forward to his future tomfoolery. I intend to watch him like a hawk.

Coincidentally, I loved Sailor Moon when I was a kid. Nice to see that I wasn't the only boy who did, and I hid that fact like so many guys today hide their love of MLP. That was also the first anime I ever watched.

Also, Sailor Moon was brought up. I watched it as a kid too, I'm thinking about watching it again.

Hiding it may not be quite right. More like I just made a conscious note never to talk about it. I had enough strikes against me that I figured I'd rather not add another, though at that point it probably wouldn't have made a difference one way or the other.

Sailor Moon is definitely worth it. I started watching it again in November but only got half-way through the first season before getting snagged by something else. Maybe I'll finish it one of these days.
