Help with pony name

Good evening mares and gentlecolts. 

 

 

I am now trying to write a fanfic (this is really hard considering my lack of knowledge and experience) and everything going slow but ... well enough .. before i got stuck on ponies names. I found my self absolute pure on choosing names or how i actually can choose it ... and it is kinda well ... problem . So if some pony can help to choose not just one but three pony names i will be really appreciate help.

 

First pony - apprentice of one powerful unicorn magician, She is from a noble family from staliongrad, one of the best student of school for gifted unicorns in Canterlot. Her special talent - discovering, how other things work. Her cuity mark is scroll, book and list over glowing horn. (At least i find it as appropriate cuity mark). In spite of her talent, she is realy close type of pony, without friends so far.

 

Second one - Is a pony, who work in ponyvile hospital, and by emergencies take care about animals in Fluttershy cottage. She have cuity mark of hoovesshake, where one of hooves is wounded. She is from Hoofington, out of pegasi family (both parents are pegasi) Sure thing, she is like to help other ponies, when they get hurted.

 

The last pony - A powerful unicorn from ancient time, who actually princess platinum apprentice, a pony who experienced in potion making. Well by story, by the time, she has lost her nuts by some circumstances. ATTENTION, once again by some circumstances she got two cuity mark - two flasks, which strike each other, and a mark of amulet with a few spark out of it. Her special talents - making potions and creating magical equipment.

 

I hope that will be enough information if well ... somepony will give a helping hoof...

 

P.s Even if somepony find it a bit odd to help name a pony, just please please please, some pony, anypony, just please give me a tips how i can find it on my own.

 The first pony could be named Gadget if she discovers how machines work, if she just discovers how the world works in general then her name could be Sofia (the Greek word for wisdom). Just a thought but having a book, scroll, and a list makes it sound like she has three cutie marks unless this is essential to the plot you should choose just one.

 For the pegasus Open-Heart sounds good.

 As for the third pony, having two cutie marks has an air of mystery about it and she should maintain it. Since she makes potions and magical equipment I would have her known as "The Tinker", and then maybe have her name revealed toward the end of the fic.

 In the mean time you will need to find an editor to give critique and advisement. If you want you can send me your rough draft of the first chapter or two so I could look it over.

For the first pony, I agree with firesoxs ^^, Gadget is a cool name for that sort of pony

The second one sounds like a real Sweetheart to me, Maybe the name could be something like that? This ones name I'm not too sure about

And as for the last pony.. First thing that came to mind was Castel, but that's not much of a pony name xD I'm more used to writing human stories and I'm fairly new to the fandom so naturally I'm not too good at this stuff yet

 

Haven't been much of a help, Sorry xD But I hope that someone gets an idea from what I said about the Pegasus, Maybe

Okay thank you again folks, but i am in trouble. Again.

 

That is not some kind of serious business through. I just need one more pony name =). Keep in a mind for a future that twists in a plot can create such sort of problems ^^

 

However this time this is much more easy. I need one appropriate name for a guard pegasi. It is kinda *background pony appear only once for a short time, so he has not improved history line. All information that readers will gather about him (Well i think this is appropriate way to say that) Is that he is a decent *always niewbie guard, that tried to climb in a ranks, but still without success. He have few friends, and some of privates openly laugh at his well... unluckyness. He by times find himself pushover and want to succeed more but alas...

 

I think that is all ) as always will greatly apriciate helping hoof of yours

Steady Wings would be my choice.  It sums up his or her difficulties in climbing the ladder and it is definitely pegasus name material.
