Gears tied a cloth around his hoof and grabbed his wrench. He ducked behind a tree stump, and threw it at a Timberwolf, hitting t directly in the back.

"Suck in that, you walking pile of firewood!!!"

(I haven't seen Bionicle related stuff in years now! Ah, good times...)

Kreinbahthur studied the timberwolves quickly before he finally had to move out of the way to avoid one of their pouncing attacks. He focused again on his targets, the world around him becoming "smaller" until it seemed as if he and the beasts were he only ones around.

"Stupid woodland creatures, fire consumes your world!"

His obsidian like horn flared with fire as he launched a fireball towards one of them. It instantly caught on fire, sending it into a frenzy of rage and despair as it felt the searing pain. Krein turned to face a lunging timberwolf, but was a hair too slow as it knocked off balance and scratched him furiously with its claws. Again, the alicorn's horn flared as it cast the next one on fire.

 

~The serpents had been out of Glacier's range by the time she had begun to attack. One lunged towards her and attempted to coil around her while the second spat venom. A few more large serpents showed up. The manticore angrily roared at Cora as it tried to rip her apart with its fangs and claws,~

"Darn that hurricane! My house is in ruins!" Joseph cried out as he rounded up all of his weapons and gadgets. "I'm gonna murder whoever did this!" He hooked a sword onto his belt. A bow latched onto his back, along with a holster of arrows. Joseph put two knifes along with the sword. A grappling hook, and a rope were also attached to him. He had a saddlebag filled with supplies, along with a variety of  gadgets brought over from earth. He even had some grenades and a handgun with several rounds of ammo. "Hmmm... I better check out the rest of the town.

 

When Joseph walked outside, his litterally dropped. Ponyville went from a happy, joyful place, to a bunch of ruins. Ponies were assigned to groups. Soem were counting the dead. Others were rescuing survivors from the collapsed buildings. Everypony had a job.

 

"Hey, hey you!!!" Somepony called out.

 

"What?" Joseph replied. The pony handed him a piece of paper.

 

"Princess Celestia has requested ponies to adventure out and find the elements of harmony. You look fitting!"

 

"Princess Celestia herself? Of course.. I need revenge! So many ponies have died, this has to stop."

 

"Alrighty! Thousands of ponies are already out there, go help!

~The timberwolve's fires were all extinguished by some unknown force, and when they finally recovered, they were angrier than before. The wolf that Snow had attempted to hurt had dodged her attack and sprang towrds her, effectively knocking her off balance.~

 

"Looks like we'll just have to do this in an old fashioned way," Krein said as he used a telekinetic grip to pick up a sizable rock and hurl it at a timberwolf.

Corkscrew looks around at the situation, fearing that all may be lost. He takes a full speed charge at the manticore only to be knocked out of the air. He gets himself up and straitens his helmet. "That's it. If Discord can buck with with the weather, why cant we?! We've got ice and snow magic, we've got wing power." 

 

Corkscrew looks over at Addum. "Science pony, crunch the numbers. Do we have enough to make an Ice tornado and send these creatures over the rainbow back to Discord?!"

Addem frowns, tapping his glasses, the lenses shifting to purple. "According to my scan, there's quite a glut of magical energy in the air. I'm fairly sure your proposal would work, but we'd need the earth ponies... myself included... to hold them off long enough."

Krein let out a disappointed huff as he saw that the thrown object had missed. He shuffled off to the side to avoid the attack of a timberwolf, but winced. The wounds he had received earlier were a bit more serious than he expected, and there were many at that. At the mention of the word of ice and snowstorms, he shook his head in disagreement.

"Yeah, how about no?"

Frost based magic, especially ones with large range, would not fare him too well. He could put up a flame cloak, but that would run the risk of torching quite a few things around here, storm or not.

"How strong are you Corkscrew? Think you could combine speed and strength to use a few rocks as battering rams against the timberwolves?"

 

~The creatures were being whipped into a more wild frenzy now, attacking more and more quickly as the ponies tried to form a plan and stick together.~

"You got it" Corkscrew said as he began to eye up the timberwolves. He begins to build speed going at the timberwolvs faster than he had ever flown. As he approached the timberwolves, he did a quick 180 degree turn and launched a bolder onto one of the wolves head. Corkscrew began using his strong hind legs to begin to launch rock at the remaining timberwolves.

"You got it" Corkscrew said as he began to eye up the timberwolves. He begins to build speed going at the timberwolvs faster than he had ever flown. As he approached the timberwolves, he did a quick 180 degree turn and launched a bolder onto one of the wolves head. Corkscrew began using his strong hind legs to begin to launch rock at the remaining timberwolves.

"I'll help!" Ace yelled taking off and flying over the timberwolves districting them long enough for Corkscrew's bolders to hit their targets. Ace smacked the head of a timberwolves to keep their attention on him. "I can't keep this up forever!" Ace said nearly dodging an attack.

"Hrrr! These snakes are more infuriating than you are! Give me a moment, I'm charging something up." Glacier lept to the side to dodge the venom and lashing snakes. Her horn gave a dark blue, almost black glow as Glacier's face screwed up whilst concentrating. "If you don't like cold, stay away!" Glacier said, biting her lip at the amount of energy needed to use the planned spell.

"Good!"

When Krein heard Glacier's announcement, he only nodded this time. He figured that her whirlwind of snow or whatever would have the least burdensome effect on the area, so he quickly charged a firebolt spell to knock the timberwolf off Snowfell and then used a paralysis spell on the manticore (who by now had succesfully given poor Cora quite a beating).

"Do it then, before the wolves reform!"

Kreinbahthur jumped for cover and casted a flame cloak, trying his best to keep its intense flames from ligting the dry areas with its heat.

"Hnnng. Here... goes... YAH!" Glacier screamed as a blue circle formed around her, enclosing everything within a large radius. Glaciers eyes glistened as she through her head back and fired a huge ice ball up into the sky. It collided back into the ground with a colossal crash. Glacier used her last reserves of stamina to move out of the way and behind cover in time as a gigantic ice pillar erupted from the circle, shards of ice circling round it, spearing and a freezing anything not annihilated by the initial crash and pillar. Glacier gave deep breaths at high rate. "I... need a... moment." Glacier's legs gave way, her body completely drained of energy.

~The scattered remains of the timberwolves froze, as did the other creatures around them. They soon shattered to pieces, and their pieces literally melted away.~

Kreinbahthur called off his flame cloak and went over to check on the rest. Most were bleeding and bruised from the attacks, as was he.

"Hope someone brought healing supplies, I can do restoration, but it isn't really my specialty to use on others..."

Addem shivered, a small wift of smoke flowing from his glasses. Strangely, however, he didn't seem to have been hit by any of the numerous icy shards. He coughed, then said, "I'm fine. If anypony else needs help, though... I might know a trick or two. No promises, though."

The manticore had given Cora a few good scratches, but her adrenaline kept her on her feet as she bled. She staggered over to where Krein was, her right wing being messed up forcing her to lean slightly to her left, and promptly punched him in the face as hard as she could.

 

"Assholes! You're all assholes!" sge yelled, glaring at all of them through now bright eyes; from anger or from tears, even she wasn't quite sure. "If you hadn't attacked the poor thing like you did, I could have stopped it!"

 

Snow had had enough of all the whiny idiots surrounding her, and this one was pushing her. "Oh, be quiet," she snapped, exasperated. "It was them or us."

 

Cora spun on her, still furious. "If you hadn't been...been pen cachu...maybe they wouldn't have been so upset." She was breathing heavily, and the exertion was catching up to her. She had just watched possibly one of her closest friends be mercilessly killed by a travelling band of bigots and buffoons, and she wasn't feeling any better about it.

 

"They couldn't control themselves," she steamrolled on. "You don't understand what it's like, do you? Losing your body like that?"

 

She had evidently touched a nerve, since Snow's eyes flashed angrily, but she calmly replied "Do you?"

 

Cora made a few flustered sputtering noises and then lifted her head up, slowly limping away.

 

Snow's matte eyes followed her; she was hiding something big, and she intended to find out what it was.

 

Steeling herself for continued idiocy, she turned to the gaping fools behind her. "She won't get far in that state. If you like her enough to let her live, which I certainly don't, you should follow her."

 

She had strong healing skills, so she fixed up her few wounds, but made no move to assist the others, merely watching them struggle.

"I'll check on her" Ace said walking past Snow. Even though he was distracting the Timberwolves he still was able to get cuts and bruses but he ignored them when he caught up to Cora. "Hey I know you didn't want us to hurt them but their wasn't anything else we could do Discord twisted them beyound measure."

Cora flipped around at him and glared at him with burning eyes.

 

"No, we did have a choice," she spat. "A choice the rest of you made incorrectly, and possibly messed up this entire journey. Now leave me alone." 

 

In reality Cora was near passing out, and she knew what would happen if she fell asleep-she'd never wake up, not for a long while at best...but at the same time, it seemed so inviting, being able to be dreamless and powerless and (perhaps this was best of all), completely gone.

 

She continued on doggedly, however, ignoring her wounds.

The alicorn licked the part of his mouth where the pegasus had punched him and rolled his eyes.

"Oh, I'm sorry for killing the monsters that were going to kill us if we hadn't done anything," he said as he prepared to cast some healing spells on him. There was lots of blood drawn, but he figured he had handled worse from his... mentors. The spells stopped the bleeding and began to accelerate the healing process.

"Hmm... we are lretty deep in this forest... could it be we were close to something that our mismatched fiend didn't want us around?"

"I haven't... done... that in a whi..." Glacier was unable to finish her sentence. Her body completely drained of energy she kept drifting in and out of sleep, un-consciousness and consciousness for a while until she had enough energy to stand. "What just happened then? So suddenly, we are the ass-holes for trying to survive and find some hermit and she isn't. But then again, if she thinks she isn't an ass-hole, wouldn't she try to help considering she has healing magic? Sounds like ass-hole Grade A to me."

"I'm not sure if you're ignorant, blind, or both," replied Snow coldly, "but the one who said that was actually that insufferable pegasus. On the topic of healing magic, I didn't exactly see you jump at the team dynamic; I was under the impression we're all loudmouths and that you don't desire to be with us, yet you wish to reap the benefits? Seems most hypocritical and selfish to me. Then again, your...shining personality just screams with those qualities."

Glacier gave Snow a piercing glare.

 

"Yeah that's about right. I'm here for three reasons. One so you don't die. Two so I can finally finish something I've set as a goal and three, possibly become very, very powerful. And for the record, it's quite hard to work out who is saying what when you are drifting in and out of consciousness having just used every bit of energy in your body saving a group of ponies who had been attacked. Maybe, things would've been easier if kazoo-boy there had even tried thinking of helping at the start. But no, you turn on the one pony the just saved your asses and doesn't get along rather than the thief who didn't lift a finger till the battle was won by yours truly. I don't know if you are ignorant, blind or both but I could quite easily of ended it there and then for all of us. Now I need more rest, I used up a lot of energy in this rant."

Assurance was just trudging behind them the entire time, stopping once or twice to befriend a lone animal. Whenever they got into a fight or argued, she just hid in the nearest place she could find. While they were stopping for a bit, Assurance decided to ask them a  question.

 

"Um, have we found Fluttershy yet?" She asked, not drawing much attention to herself.

Snow rolled her eyes. Every ice magic user was the same; thought they were more powerful than they really were. The fact that she was exhausted by a spell like that only further proved that she wasn't all that she acted as, in addition to being so stupid as to think that she was the big "hero" of the group now. Not even wanting to argue with someone that blind to their own blatant hubris and idiocy, she continued to watch the others.

 

When Assurance spoke up she sighed in annoyance. "Does it look like we have?" she snorted.

"Right. That's enough out of all of you. If I hear one more goddamned argument, I will start knocking suckers unconscious. Do I make myself clear?"

If there was one thing Standoff was good at besides the things he was officially qualified for, it was whipping into shape. And he WAS getting angry with this petty squabbling...

Ace just continued walking dispite the glare and harsh worlds, if there is something Ace can be good at is being stubborn. "What was that language I never heard it before and it seemed to have some affect on the manticore." Ace said changing the subject.
