Light followed Star over to the punch table and saw two other unknown ponies there. He then saw Star talking to the mare and heard something about quartz hearts or something like that. "Uhh, what is the Qubblings of Quartz Hearts exactly?" he asked approaching the grey mare.

Moonstruck trotted over to the punch bowl, and was in the process of ladling herself a glass when a rather pretty blue zebra-pegasus approached, asking about her book. Her pale eyes, ever prominent, swept this pony, and moments later her companion, before responding. "Yes, I'm Moonstruck," she said. Encounters with fans never seemed to end well. She hoped that this occasion would end differently. "And the Quibbling would be my book. The first of many," she informed the well-kept stallion.

''Ooo! This is getting good!'' Splinter said out loud when he had reached a point in the book. ''Oh, uh.. Sorry.'' Splinter said to Moonstruck. He folded the page he was on, closed the book, and stuffed it back in his saddlebag. He took another sip of punch before his glass ran out.

Star's smile widened. "I just finished your first book and I loved it. I am eager for more." She said. "I found your second book in a store the other day but I have been so busy I haven't found time to read it yet. My name is Star Song by the way...This is Light Wind." She gestured to light. *Wow...i'm really talkative today.* She thought.

Moonstruck brushed her long, somewhat straggly indigo mane out of her eyes. As she did so, a silver highlight, of a much lighter, shinier shade than her coat, became visible. "It's always wonderful to meet readers," she said vaguely. "Oh! But I'm forgetting my manners. Here," and with this, she curtsied in the manner of the deer that inhabited her fantasy land alongside ponies (Assuming deer don't actually exist in this RP), pressing one hoof to her lips in a silent greeting. 

Star did her best to curtsy back but was rather sloppy. "I think I need some practice." She said, blushing and sipping some of her punch.

*This is so cool...What are the likes of Rockshire inviting Moonstruck to her party...I wonder if they have met before...I should have bought my copy of The Quibblings of Quartz Heart.* She thought.

Light silently watch the two mare converse amongst themselves. He didnt really have any interest in reading books so the conversation didnt really strike him as something worth listening to for too long. He went over to the punch and poured himself a cup and one for Star then went back offering one of the cups to Star.

Nightfall looked around. He wasn't sure if this was the right place. He walked in sheepishly, knowing he was at least a little late. Inside, there were four stallions and five mares.

"Rockshire probably planned that on purpose," he muttered. "An attempt to get hooked up and hook others up."

He shrugged, looking for the host, feeling almost a little out of place.

Star did her best to curtsy back but was rather sloppy. "I think I need some practice." She said, blushing and sipping some of her punch.

Nightfall noticed a couple of mares, who seemed to be talking before, taking a glance or two at him. This made him blush, turning his cheeks a little purple. He began walking around slowly, edging ever closer to the mares. He had to make contact with someone, even if the host wouldn't talk to him for whatever reason.

Light looked down at Star then over to the appoaching stallion. He wasnt sure if Star was wanting him to take them somewhere or what, so he decided to stay put. He was starting to like Star and didnt want someone else taking her just yet. "So..." He took a sip of his drink, "Uhh..." A small nervous laugh escaped. "Do you want to go do something, or want to say hi to the new guy." He asked gesturing over to the stallion.

(I was going to have snow pick out a song but im on my phone right now so i cant really do that... *sigh*)

"I'm easy...Do you wan't to dance ? My roommate is teaching me how to swing dance...plus a whole bunch of other dances." She chuckled and trotted over to the music machine thing. After a moment of trying to figure out how it worked she played All Night by Ponyrov (I know...I know) Stelar. She trotted back over to Light and took his hoof. "Swing Dancing is really easy if you don't know how to do it." She gave him a warm smile.

Moonstruck nodded slowly, hoof clicking on the floor in time to the music. "Go have fun, then," she said dreamily. Talking to nopony in particular now, she went on, "I don't like dancing much, myself." She promptly sat in one of the chairs, and her eyes set about scanning the room once again. They lingered again on the blue unicorn, then continued their sweeping path across the room. She wondered if she should go speak with Rockshire, but she looked a little busy, so Moonstruck consented to sit in the chair, still swaying slightly with the music, humming softly.

"I'm easy...Do you wan't to dance ? My roommate is teaching me how to swing dance...plus a whole bunch of other dances." She chuckled and trotted over to the music machine thing. After a moment of trying to figure out how it worked she played All Night by Ponyrov (I know...I know) Stelar. She trotted back over to Light and took his hoof. "Swing Dancing is really easy if you don't know how to do it." She gave him a warm smile.

Snow was still looking through the songs when a mare came by and chose one. She watched the mare and saw her go over to Wind. "Oh sure, you can meet someone but i cant even walk out of the house without a dog collar on." She said to herself and went back to looking through the songs.

 

Light was a little nervous when Star took his hoof. "Ive never danced before." He said in a calm voice, "But i guess something new dosnt hurt..."

Snow was still looking through the songs when a mare came by and chose one. She watched the mare and saw her go over to Wind. "Oh sure, you can meet someone but i cant even walk out of the house without a dog collar on." She said to herself and went back to looking through the songs.

Star smiled. "It super easy." She took his other hoof and shuffled a little closer, she took him onto the dance floor and showed him the steps, then she smiled and started to dance. "I'm really bad at dancing but there is one way to get better right ?" She said, almost falling but catching herself before hitting the floor, she laughed.

Rockshire didn't even notice the other pony come in, as she was putting out the rest of the food, seeing that somepony had already set up a song on the DJ.

 

"Oh. Seems as though that they've made theirselves comfy with the music... Perfect! *sighs* Jeez, being a host is exhausting...", she mumbled, as she went to get a glass of punch.

Nightfall saw one of the mares go,a dance with one of the stallions, leaving the other mare to sit down. She looked spaced out. Nightfall started going for a drink, noticing that the mare gazed at him for a second. He shook his head lightly, going over to her, but not saying anything.

Light held back a laugh when Star almost fell. "Well its certantly a first for me, thats for sure." He said watching and memorizing the steps Star showed him. "So how often do you dance?" Light asked attempting to replicate the steps he learned.

"Not often...As you can probably tell. I know a little bit about it but i'm no expert." She said.

 

When the song ended, Star let go of Lights hooves and smiled happily. "That was fun." She said, still smiling. "Rockshire said something about some hot springs a little farther into the cave...do you...maybe wanna go check it out ?" She asked.

Nightfall didn't know what to do. He didn't want to just leave her there and go do his own thing, but he didn't know where to start on the subject of introductions. He got a little embarrassed.

"Hello. Do you know where I might find Rockshire..? I, um... I showed up a little late and don't know what to, um..."

His voice hadn't been his usual voice; it was quiet and he eventually faded out, blushing quite badly.

She gazed at the unicorn unblinkingly, then pointed a hoof at a reddish mare at the punch bowl without even looking to make sure there was actually somepony there. "That'd be her," she informed him. "I've been meaning to talk to her, too, actually. Want me to get her to come over here?"
