What could a "good" Discord actually do?

I've been wondering this for a while, but now that Discord is one of the good guys(for the moment), How will he actually be using his powers? He's chaos incarnate right? He's not the kind of guy who'd really ever conform with the rules completely. The best I could see him being is the my little pony version of Marvel's Impossible man.

 

Disocrd needs to have his own space where he can just do whatever he wants. Something like that could be an amusment park for ponies. His antics, when you expect them, can be a lot of fun when you think about.

Maybe help Pinkie Pie with her wild parties? Other than that, I can't really think of much. I'm willing to bet money that the writers have plans for him, otherwise they wouldn't have reformed him, we'll just have to wait until Season 4 to see.

I don't see Discord really living with Fluttershy or the others, now. I believe he'll most likely drift about, remaining within the land where Canterlot, Ponyville and Cloudsdale are located, since I doubt Celestia wants to just let him run off around Equestria unsupervised yet, less he decide it's time to take over again on a whim xP I imagine him occasionally popping into Canterlot Castle to bug Celestia just because she amuses him so, or generally just messing with the castle's residence and guards as well.

 

He's still a 'Creature of Chaos' as he referred to himself. He's just not out to take over anymore, because he's realized friends mean something to him. He won't go past a certain point, as to not ruin that relationship and warrant his needing to be stoned again, but Discord will never stop being a first-class witty prankster.

I thought Celestia needed him because his magic was extremely powerful (and I guess therefore useful)? He can manipulate his surroundings at will, which would be useful in a battle. 

 

You're right that as chaos incarnate, though, he probably wouldn't stick to the rules. It would be interesting if he betrayed the ponies at a later point during a critical event. o: Possible S4 ending?!

Most probably he's  just roaming around Equestria scaring crap out of ponies whenever he appears just like Zecora did. Since he could be now classified as chatotic good there's no real telling what he could do. He might help pony earn fortune and fame or just do petty things like make a tree fall down so the kitten could get off... oh and he could remove Twilights wings (YARDARHARR FANRAGE!)

I guess he could, umm, I really don't know. I guess since he can manipulate objects and his surroundings he could fix broken stuff, but that doesn't really seem to fit. It's really impossible to guess, because it's chaos for crying out loud!

This is just the RPG player in me, but when ever  i see phrases like "Chaotic Good"  I always think of something like a free agent, working on their own.  I don't know if that fits for discord because he'll technically be taking orders from celestia, wouldn't he?

 

I guess I never saw discord as a bad buy at all, myself.  especially after I saw this video a while ago. I know it's off of my own topic, but it just flew into my head and I had to share it.

I see Discord as being something of a wild card up Celestia's sleeve- the nuclear option against a greater threat, if you will. He;'s the one who could do the things that need to be done, but Celestia isn't willing to.

He would probably be used as a main line of defense. Meaning he uses chaos against enemies that threaten Equestria. He could maybe create his own army of chaos mutants, or just simply influence chaos on the enemy himself. It pretty much says it all: He uses his powers for good.

 

He's a pretty powerful ex-villian, and so of course Celestia thought it'd be useful for him to become good. I mean, he can practically do ANYTHING, so how convenient is that?

Discord can do a lot of stuff to help out the good fight.He can make the enemies Discorded and make them lose morale,he could change the environment around him to give whatever advantage he wants/needs to give,he can impede progress or distract enemies with a buncha random stuff happening around them,and he could even simply appear and just mess with their minds.

 

That's just off the top of my head.As he is the Spirit of Chaos,there's pratically nothing he can't do.I'm more curious as to whether or not he'll still toy around with Equestria,since he still is the Spirit of Chaos.Just because he reformed and chose to fight the good fight doesn't neccessairly mean that he'll stop messing with Equestria and its inhabitants.

I doubt that Discord will be acting 'good' forever xP I mean he's a huge prankster type with powers I've never though about, so he may be a bit annoying here and there while doing a bit of damage to areas around him but since he's reformed I think he wouldn't go too far with the pranks if it meant losing friends. Besides, Celestia gave the Elements of Harmony to Twilight just in case he's feeling a bit...Chaotic again.
