Psych Ward 377 June 13, 2013 Share June 13, 2013 I have to agree on cramps! They freaking suck! I was swimming in a hotel pool one time and I lost an earring. I was really pissed. I found it..... in my toe. My friends and I were seeming who could get to the bottom and back first and when I came down, the lost earring just happened to be under my foot. Yesterday I got a sunburn. Today I decided to take a nice hot shower after more swimming. Bad idea. I had a fluffy little kitten named Halo on my legs. She was sleeping and I was relaxing on a recliner. Recliner goes down, claws come out, legs get shredded. Oh how I love my kitties. I still have scars from that. Piña colada 3 June 13, 2013 Share June 13, 2013 (edited) Mine are all football related. (American not everywhere else football) My fifth grade year I dislocated my thumb catching the ball. My thumb was pointing back at me if I pointed with my pointer finger. Dislocating something in itself doesnt hurt that bad, but if you leve it thee for 7 hours it becomes hell. In 7th grade I torn my PCL, a ligament behind the ACL. It's just as bad as an ACL tear, but it is harder to diagnose. You can go months with a severe limp and be non the wiser. The funny thing is that I continued playing the whole year even though I was practically one-legged. Moonlight 7,286 June 13, 2013 Share June 13, 2013 Mine isn't really that bad, since I have never broken a bone in my life (and I don't plan on starting ) but here it is: I went on the "Drop Tower" ride at the county fair and everything was fine until I got to the top. I looked down and started cringing. That's how I figured out I have a fear of heights. I started grasping the shoulder restraints and I heard a click above me which signaled that it was going to drop down in seconds. And the thing dropped and I pushed my shoulder up too severely and quickly. Let's just say my shoulder got locked out of place, and I had to put up with it for an entire day before I eventually popped it back in place. matching setups with my bff pathfinder
Pinkamena Dianne Pie 465 June 13, 2013 Share June 13, 2013 Let's see what the worst pain I have ever had was... Oh I know! I was playing hide-and-go-seek with my cousins at night. It was my turn to hide, so I went up into the rafters of the garage. My other cousin hid in the boat that was in the garage. When she got found, she ratted out my hiding spot, so I went farther into the rafters. As I walked in farther, mind you it's floored, I hit the one spot that wasn't, broke through the insulation and blacked out before I hit ground. I regained conscienceness and was being carried to the van to go to the hospital. When I was in the van, my dad told me that out of nowhere, I fell through the ceiling down fourteen feet and landed on the cement floor, hitting the back of my head flat on the cement. When I got to the hospital, I went under some tests, and was admitted. For a week I was in a coma, and when I woke up, I was basically mentally handicapped for a while. From what I remember, I had a fractured skull, a grade-5 concussion (grade-6 is death), a broken rib, and my left eye was cross-eyed for about two weeks. All I have to remember it by now is a baldspot on the back of my head where I hit the concrete so hard that it didn't cut open, but it bled right through the skin. Cupcakes baked fresh DAILY. FruitRiver 355 June 13, 2013 Share June 13, 2013 Urm...I'm gonna sound like ive never experienced much pain before, but...stubbing my finger in a door a few weeks ago has to be the worst. I only got a small fracture but the hour after I smashed it was awful. I can still remember what it looked like, it looked shriveled at first O-o and then got super swollen and I couldnt move it for a couple of weeks. I'm so used to not using it now, I just started being able to tap letters on the keyboard, but for some reason I dont use it as often anymore XD Im super squeamish, so im thinking seeing it drained of blood had to make it a lot worse. (My sisters cramps are her worst pains too. Mine feel like light stomachaches, so im good :3)

Wardaddy 470 June 20, 2013 Share June 20, 2013 Another of my worst experiences of pain had to be corporal punishment. Now laugh at this, if you will, but for me this was the worst kind of pain. I was a young lad, and sure I made a few mistakes, breaking a thing or two around the home, but hey! I was young, naïve and careless. At first I was happy, but that would all change when I'd hear my dad roaring out my name in unnatural anger. I'd always try to run, but he'd somehow catch me. Based on my most recent memory, he grappled his hand around the back of my neck and forced me to the living room. I'd clutch onto anything I could for dear life, screaming for help. But none would come, my mother and sister were so afraid of him. When we got to the living room, he'd throw down my pants, and be it with a wooden spoon or his bare hand, he hit me with intensely painful strikes, always on the same side with the same speed and velocity. I was in tears afterwards, for most, if not the rest of the day. The pain stung so bad I couldn't sit down at all. Take a moment to think about this. Dad was my dad like. I looked up to him as I did to my mum and I believed he'd never do something so awful as to hurt me. But he did, and to this day its taken a terrible toll on my psychological health. He's divorced now, and we live without him, but we'd see him again every now and then, and around him the fear would return that I'd piss him off, even in this day and age. I know it was to keep me in line, but here and now I always wonder if there could've been a better way? 1 "Ideals are peaceful.........history is violent" Sgt. SoarinBlue 202 June 20, 2013 Share June 20, 2013 For one off events, it would probably be the time when I was a kid (maybe 12 or so?) And was playing down by a creek with my brother and one of our friends. I stepped on something, it hurt a little bit but I kept walking, until I realized I was leaving bloody footprints and looked at the bottom of my foot to see a huge gash running the entire length of my heel. Went to the e.r., they jabbed a large needle deep into my foot multiple times to try to numb it (which didn't work since they were incompetent, then gave me stitches sans anesthesia. Unfortunately, I also have a rare condition called cluster headache that beats that by a significant margin. Every so often, without warning, I will go through cycles (or clusters) of intensely painful headaches once a day, at the same time every day. Being a man, I can't make this comparison personally but they are described as being some of the worst pain a person can experience, worse than childbirth. They're also known as suicide headaches because some people kill themselves to make them stop (there is no cure). The feeling is pretty comparable to having a sharp object jabbed through your eye from what I've experienced

Righteous Fury 344 June 20, 2013 Share June 20, 2013 I have a genetic disorder that makes it easy for me to dislocate/subluxate my joints, when I was a kid I used to subluxate my knees every so often, that was pretty painful. It wore off quickly, but it was pretty scary knowing that a small twist or blow would leave me unable to move, clutching my knee in pain. I haven't done it in years now, but I'm still sensitive around my knees. Oddly, I've dislocated my shoulder twice, and both times there was no pain whatsoever. Just felt mildly uncomfortable. Appleloosa 90 June 22, 2013 Share June 22, 2013 Last year going 30mph down a hill on my bike, I got a text on my phone that I answered with my right hand. I then noticed I was going very fast and should try to break... and stupidly used my front break since my left hand was the only one open. One front flip later, my arm was all opened, messed up, and bleeding and the worst part is that I spilled my iced coffee that was in my cup holder. Both mental and physical pain. moral of the story is, dont ever text and drive haha
Rory 150 June 22, 2013 Share June 22, 2013 the worst pain i ever felt was mental when i found out my mom had died from brain cancer i literately had to go to P.E.M.S. due to several mental break downs. and that's saying a lot considering the fact that i have shot my self in the foot by accident. Durandal 623 June 22, 2013 Share June 22, 2013 If we're talking memorable experiences, then I guess the treatment I received for my port-wine stain (yes, the same thing Gorbachev had). When I was born, my case was severe enough that I could have gone blind, so they had to treat it. The way they did that was yearly laser treatments for about 6-7 years, where they would put me under so they could use a laser to destroy the capillaries. They'd wake me up after a while, and because of how strong the anesthetic was, I was only half conscious hours afterwards. Imagine trying to walk out of a hospital when you can barely balance yourself and everything is a daze. Not fun. Once the anesthetic wore off, the sections that they treated would burn for about a day. It's hard to concentrate on much when half of your face is on fire. I don't fully remember the experiences however, as it was a long time ago. As for things I don't remember, I'm told that I swallowed a nickel when I was a toddler. Though I'm unsure whether nigh-suffocation counts as pain, I do know that I was screeching while the doctors tried to get the thing out, so that's something. I'm sure I've had other painful experiences, but I can't remember any of them, and they probably aren't all that interesting anyways. Dopey Hooves 90 June 22, 2013 Share June 22, 2013 (edited) Well, one time when I was 10 or something, 3 years ago. I went over to my cousins house. I did a front flip into the pool, I thought I was so cool. Then I asked my older cousin "Hey why don't you watch me do this front flip into the pool." Him: "Ok." So, I did it being the show off I am. I hit my head on the pool deck. At first I felt dizzy, everything was moving in slow mo. Like really. Then I felt my head. I looked at my fingers and it was filled with blood. At that point I passed out. I woke up and I saw lights flashing in my eyes. and Then I had surgery. Another pain I had was. When I had to go to soccer practice they made us go on tiny mats, that were lifted off the ground. We had to jump and do the spilts on the mats. I landed right on my private part. and It hurt so bad. and Since it was so far off the ground I fell off the mat and at that point i'm like, "Coach can I go home." Coach "No get your ass back on that mat your not done." Edited June 22, 2013 by Dopey Hooves Louis Fire Striker Lightning Blitz Want a free signature? Brony Shawn 11 June 22, 2013 Share June 22, 2013 I'm actually not sure what my WORST pain is, but here's a list of some of the pains I've experienced. Once while I was playing soccer, my foot tripped in a gopher hole. There were around 5 bruises, 1 open cut, and 1 twisted and broken leg. Fell on some sand, like, really hard and rough sand. Elbow bled a bunch. Blood everywhere. Sand in my wound. Lasted the entire summer. When I was a little kid, I forgot what happened but there was a big huge CUT on my knee shaped like a line. It was pretty long and like 1/4 of an inch deep. When I was running, I got nauseous and was trippin. I had loss of 1 or more field of view, and my entire face was pale. When I was taken to the school nurse, my face was still pale. My head felt like it was frozen by ice and my abdomen/chest/whatever you wanna call it felt like it was on fire. Everything was bright and so hard to see. I felt like it was the end of me. Skye42 59 June 22, 2013 Share June 22, 2013 I am a pretty weak person, so I always get myself injured. But a year ago, my mum passed away. And two years ago, my dad passed away. Hearing the talks about it was painful. And after it, I just went to lay down in my room for most of the week. This happened about during school, so when people asked where I was, I told them, but most of them were too busy to help me out. Luckily some did try to make me feel better. I was really depressed for a while. While phyical pain isn't nothing, I believe mental pain is pretty bad too. :< 1 Some ponies, just wanna watch the world BURN DERP My oc's are in my profile here: http://mlpforums.com/user/17043-skye42/
Brony Shawn 11 June 22, 2013 Share June 22, 2013 Oh yeah and another pain I felt was a long time ago when I was a primary grader. I got hit 3 times in a row by REALLY HARD BALLS (basketballs I think) kicked by people with really strong legs and it hit me in the head, 3 times in a row. Out of all the people, out of all the places I could have been at, out of all the times I could have been at those places, why me!? I felt like passing out, but after taking a seat and resting for a while, I felt better. Another time was when my friend kicked a ball so hard at my stomach during soccer (it was an accident, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time) that I fell to the ground, could NOT move, could NOT breathe, and was temporarily paralyzed. My friends said that it's happened to them during soccer before, and that it's perfectly normal. It was the first time it's happened to me so I felt like I was gonna have a heart attack or something.
