Anyone else watch the Oscars last night? I know it got low raings very year. But, rumors said that the Oscar host Seth Macfarlane did quite good, some said he gone too far. Duh! That's why the Ocars hire him as host in the first place ^_^

I can't believe that Brave beat Wreck-It Ralph for Best Animated Feature.  It was a pretty good movie, but Ralph felt so much bigger and more imaginative, and I was way more attached to the characters emotionally.

I have to say, though, Argo was a good choice for Best Picture.  I liked Django Unchained and Les Misérables better for sheer entertainment value, but Argo was an excellent example of a "based on a true story" movie that's both exciting and tasteful.

That's really all there is to say on the matter.

Seth proves to us that America is not ready for a host that isn't old, white, or a woman with no comedic value whatsoever.

Anywho, I watched the beginning, and it just gets really boring after that.

And the sock-puppet reenactment of Flight was %100 accurate.

Eh, I was too busy with reading this weekend, plus I wasn't too interested in seeing the show itself.  Happy to hear Christoph Waltz, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lawrence, and Daniel Day-Lewis won, all top notch actors in my book, but the ceremony itself gets so drawn out and is just too chock-full of pointless filler at this point that it just ain't worth it.  Oh, and of course they apparently screwed up one of the few noteworthy pieces of the ceremony (i.e. the "In Memoriam" segment) because they forgot to include a butt-ton of actors and actresses who passed away this year, including Andy Griffith, ANDY GRIFFITH FOR BUCKS SAKE!!!  I mean, seriously guys, he was, oh, I don't know, only one of the most beloved American actors of all time!!! *facehoof*  No, you know what, one facehoof isn't enough...

NOBODY FREAKING TOLD ME. Oh well, I'm not much of a movie critic, so I probably wouldn't have found it that interesting anyway. Oh well, there's always next year.

Agreed. I haven't actually watched Brave yet, but from what I've read, heard and seen, it looks pretty dull and the story sounds kinda similar to Brother Bear.

I also can't believe Paperman won Best Animated Short. What the Hell? How did magical paper airplanes beat Adam and the Dog and Head over Heels?  2c0gc.png
