My First Pony Ever (Needs a Name)

Hey, everypony! Back a few days ago, I posted a topic somewhere asking for tips on how to draw a pony. Now, finally, I just created my first fan art and I want some opinions
 

I KNOW that I'm not very good at all *I did say that it's my first pony drawing, right?* so try not to be too hard on me :/

 

Also, I have no idea what to name her... I guess you could call this an OC? And because I have very little creativity, I used an apple for her cutie mark (I happened to be near a box of Apple Jacks... well... you know)

Remember to give me opinions/suggestions on what I could do better! And she needs a name ;-;

Well since her cutie mark is an apple you could always find something related to a more effeminate Apple name. Something like Gala or Aerlies. There are plenty out there if you just look for them

Honeycrisp. Its a type of apple that i personally really love, AND it lives up to its name. Although it may not fit the personality of your pony.

I'd determine the color by the name, to be honest. A few minutes ago, I was thinking about Golden Delicious *her hair would be a lighter gold color on top and fade to darker gold like the picture shows*

 

I'm still taking ANY name suggestions. By the by, thank you all for responding so fast

I would try to imagine what her personality type is than google apple names , there are hundreds and you might find one that clicks, and you can always change it up just a little bit by adding extra letters or replceing a couple to make your name sound more... 'namey.'

I believe there's already a Golden Delicious. You should sort out her personality first or create something about the character that the name could relate to. I mean, it doesn't have to be completely related to apples.

Well by choosing an apple for her cutiemark, I think you've put yourself into that position.   What's does she excel at? Give your character some background, or choose a different cutie mark if it continues to bother you!

I will throw my vote in for HoneyCrisp since I was already beaten (twice) to the suggestion

 

It's my favorite type of apple and it makes a good pony name. As for the drawing you did very well! Especially for a first try.

Well, there is a type of apple known as "Wealthy". But what your telling us is her relations and style.  Is she sweet? Mean? Pompous? What does she do best at that helped her get her cutiemark? We need personality or background!

Definitely sweet. What she does best is make things out apples like food and desserts. She is easily liked, has a bubbly personality, likes to have a good time, but also shares a sense in appearance and looks. She appreciates honesty and values relationships.

Well the ideas have been thrown out there but I would truley recommend you make the final decision yourself as only you can decide what fits your pony best and what names clicks for you! I ran into the same problems that you are now when trying to name my OC, and  despite all my asking it was me who finally pieced together the name I use and love

I've already settled on a name though *commenter supplied as well*; "Aerlies Apple" is now her name! I even have her up on my deviantART now

 

Thanks for the great suggestions though. I'm still not very good at coming up with names XP
