ORANGE: Is the fruit named after the color or is the color named after the fruit

I've heard that back in "caveman" days, that a caveman gave the name orange to the fruit, than started to call things that look like orange(fruit), orange. Thus, what we have today.

Im not really sure, but I think that the fruit was named first, and then the color. Hope this helped.
