Help with OC name please?

     Hello everypony!  Firstly, ignore my username lol, I don't really troll at all.  It was just something I though up really quick for Xbox Live and Steam and I kinda stuck with me :\.

 

     Anyway...I need some help naming my OC.  It appears that the name making portion of my imagination has died off all long time ago lol.  I'm looking for a name that was something to do with cars/vehicle, that isn't corny, since I made this OC with my love for working on vehicles in mind (I know ponies don't work on/drive vehicles, but work with me here ).  Any suggestions would be very helpful.  Thanks guys! /)

A really simple one actually! I'm not fond of Double names ( Something Blue, Papery Scissors, Etc...).

 

My suggestion would be an accurate and nice sounding : Piston.

Other names I can think of include Hot Wheels, Burnout, Motor Mane and Smokin' Sedan.

Thanks for the suggestions Flipturn!  I was thinking of doing Hot Rod when I first made my OC.  I think I saw someone else's OC with that name, but I could be wrong.

I don't think you need to worry about having OCs that are the same as other people's too much. I have 2 OCs in a fanfic of mine that turned out to have the same name as someone else: Roadie and Clover Leaf.

 

Anyway... I'll suggest the following:

I don't think you need to worry about having OCs that are the same as other people's too much. I have 2 OCs in a fanfic of mine that turned out to have the same name as someone else: Roadie and Clover Leaf.

Man, I'm actually really torn between Piston and Hot Rod lol.  Both are really good.  Hopefully other members will chime in with their opinion

The first thing that suddenly popped into my mind was "Spark Plug." I think his coloring geared me that way. Maybe a few others I can think of are...

Piston makes me think of the Detroit Pistons (where I'm originally from, so probably not everyone will think this,) whose logo, for a while, had a horse on it. Take that for what you will.

I'll go with piston, or blazing piston, something that doesn't include Rods of any kind.

Kinda swaying towards keeping the name Piston, but I'll wait a bit longer to see what others still have to say. Thanks for the help everyone, keep up those suggestions!

i'd  say to stay with hot rod. it seems to fit your oc quite perfectly

 

or, even, you could try to go for one similar to it like fire bolt

Thanks for the help everyone!  After a bit of thinking I have decided to go with Hot Rod.  It's simple, like Piston, but now that I've thought about it more Hot Rod does seem more fitting for my OC.  Even if it does sound like a 80's porn star name, lol (@Revolver Bobcat).
