Ampyrion rolled his eyes. "Careful now. None of us would trust that one as far as we could throw him, but it's not wise provoking him on his own turf. The thieves and scum of this place seem to obey him. He could probably make it a bit...uncomfortable for us if he got mad enough."

"And if that happens, we just cleanse the town of vermin. From now on, I won't be threatening them if they try to get in my way. Don't think he's the only one with connections in this town. I might hate the town, but I still know how to talk around the merchants and know people in the few times I've come who I could get favors from. I want to see him try throwing the lowlife at me. Cloud gave a low whistle, "Now things get serious" he said as he began to follow her, "Just so you know Nidal, that unicorn had it coming to him... what he said to you and all... I probably wouldve wasted him myself if you hadnt beaten me to it"...

Nidal stayed silent at his comment. She walked up to one of the merchants in the start of the town and asked for directions to several places. She got them and turned back to the group. "Where does the map say the item is?"

Cloud looked at his map, "It is in... a chapel? Are all the elements in a religious building I'm guessing?" he then remembered Mercers words, Go to the old chapel, Ill be there...

Nidal asked the same merchant directions to the chapel and turned back to look at C2. "I got the directions to it and a few more locations. Where do you want to go first? Honestly, I'd rather not sleep in this town. I trust sleeping outside on the dirt road more."

Ampyrion blinked. :"Where might that be? And would we have to walk through any, uh..unsavory neighborhoods?"

 

Ampyrion frowned. "We could take shifts staying awake, so nopony can get the drop on us."

Cloud thought about this, The sun was already going down, they would have limited time to find the element and leave, and the group needed to rest after traveling for so long... "Nidal, do you not know of any... semi-safe places here we cold rest? As much as I hate to say it, we need to rest, we traveled two days nonstop" as if to prove his point, Lightning gave a huge yawn as he rubbed her eyes. "As much as I hate to say it... we need rest"

Nidal pointed away from the towns. "Not in there. If we go into the forest nearby..." She pointed at the forest. "We could rest without having to worry about being found as long as we have a pony watching."

Cloud looked toward the forest, "Good enough, we will rest tonight, and tomorrow we will go to search for the element" Cloud then looked to Nidal again, "As long as we have money, we may want to stock up on some food, any places you recommend?"

"Any store whose prices are decent. I don't know of any place here because I don't go here often enough." She took the bag and looked at C2. "We'll buy the food. The rest of you, go set up camp. Come on, C2. We've got shopping to do and I'll need someone else to carry the bags."

Cloud chuckled and followed along, looking back to the group he said, "You guys be careful, we'll be back as soon as we're done"

She found one who was willing to reduce it to 150% of the normal price and she took it, seeing as that's the lowest one could find here. The vegetables and fruits were good quality and she stocked them up into a C2's saddle bags. "I think that'll be enough." She paid the store and still had a decent amount of bits left, around half of what they started with.

Cloud walked with Nidal out of the town, avoiding the stares of ponies as the two walked by. "Hard to believe this once used to be a nice city" said Cloud to Nidal as they walked...

Nidal looked at C2 with a doubtful look. "All cities start small and nearly all small towns are nice... or do you mean more recent? If it's the latter, please explain." She really didn't know; she did not care for this town and therefore didn't know all that much about its history.
