Cloud and the others found a clearing next to a small pond and decided to camp down there, Cloud suddenly felt very tired as he slumped down, "Is everyone here?" he asked, once he took roll of the rest of the group, he asked Ampyrion to take the next watch, "We can bury Rose first, if you'd like"

Ampyrion nodded, and started digging a hole in the ground with magic. "Okay then...did anyone actually know Rose and would like to say something...?" he asked as he dug.

Sitting down and saying nothing, he looked to the ground before closing his eyes and began to think to himself, "Even though I don't know her at all... If I had gotten there sooner... If I had been braver... Maybe...Maybe I could have done a little something to possibly help... But..." A slight tear came to his face as the image of what he had seen before came into his mind.

"I didnt know her for long, but she was a kind, generous pony... she took me in as a complete stranger, offering me a place to rest while I was passing through... She wanted to come with me... with us.... I cant help but feel her death is my fault" Cloud looked to the ground, tears in his eyes, "Im so sorry Rose"

 

Sitting down and saying nothing, he looked to the ground before closing his eyes and began to think to himself, "If I had gotten there sooner... If I had been braver... Maybe...Maybe I could have done a little something to possibly help... But..." A slight tear came to his face as the image of what he had seen before came into his mind.

"Anyone else...?" asked Ampyrion quietly. "No? Okay then. Goodbye Rose..." he gently lowered what was left of the poor pony into the hole. Drawing energy from the pond, he caused the water to flow into the grave, and froze it into the shape of a coffin. He began magicking the dirt back into the grave to seal it.

Lightning began to cry, she had never met the poor mare. All Lightning new was that she was kind and beautiful. Lightning put down the copy of her favorite storybook on Rose's grave. The cover read, "The Mare in the Moon"

Cloud walked to Lightning, he felt sorry for her, in an attempt to comfort her, he placed a gentle hoof on her shoulder, "Dont cry Lightning... she's in a much better place now"

"Alright..." said Ampyrion calmly. "i hate to break it to you guys, but it's getting really late. We can mourn tomorrow, but as of now, there's a bucking manticore rampaging through the forest."

"We will take hour shifts for watch, you are up next Ampyrion" said Cloud, laying down right where he was, his eyes closed quickly as sleep overtook him...

*Mercer's amulet suddenly landed in front of your group, out of power. Making an image takes a lot out of it and levitating it takes even more, it would never have made it back to Mercer on its own.*

Ampyrion stretched. Okay then...stay awake, Ampyrion. He fought off the tendrils of sleep that creeped up on him and blearily looked around the clearing, aided by the embers of the dying fire.

An amulet landed on the ground with a clink. "The hay...?" asked Ampyrion, immediately on guard. "Someone must have thrown that..." He immediately thrust an unlit torch into the fire,and began alertly searching the brush that surrounded the clearing.

*The amulet started slightly flashing and you hear a muffled shouting coming out of it*

Unable to sleep, EB walked over to Ampyrion and asked him, "Hey... If you want some company... I'm not feeling tired, so... Do you mind?"

*The slight flashing and the muffled shouts from the amulet stopped and the amulet began to dimly glow as it began to recharge*

Lightning woke up and saw that the other ponies were either asleep or distracted. She quietly snuck away from the camp, and began to fly off toward the city of Phillydelphia. She flew over the city, watching the crowds move along the street in a very violent way. Lightning landed on the tallest building she could find, and looked down. The closer she looked, the more crimes she saw. Their were thieves and muggers, and the screams of ponies could be heard in the distance. Lightning flew down towards the streets and went over to an abandoned house. She pulled a key out from her saddlebag and opened the door. She entered...

(Ok, just throwing this out right now: Gonna be away for a couple of minutes so assume I'm with the group if you go somewhere)

(we will be here until tomorrow IRL Cloud stays asleep until then, of course when we all hit the hay IRL, I will just say the whole night went on with no further trouble and each pony had their turn at watching)

In the small house, there was a fireplace with a couple pictures above it. The first was a picture of two ponies; a mare and a stallion. The stallion was a dark blue unicorn with a long, black mane. He has the cutie-mark of a crescent moon. The other was a beautiful white mare, also a unicorn. She had a bright red mane and the cutie-mark of a spark. They were both smiling. In the background was the inside of what looked like a bakery.

 

The second picture was a drawing of a pegasus. It was a grey mare with a blonde mane and yellow eyes. The mare in the drawing was flying through the skies. Lightning sat down in front of the unlit fireplace, and started to cry.

Just a few seconds later, EB let out a yawn. "On second thought," began the sleepy pony, "nevermind... I'm gonna hit the hay too..." He then walked over to a cleared out section of the area as he laid down to fall asleep.

Lightning stopped crying and got up. She ran out of the house, locked it, and flew off again. She flew towards the camp, but realized something... she was lost!

(DAMIT!! you burried rose wile i was asleep )

 

Lunatic was already in bed for a couple of hours but remained sleepless.

*you should have stayed with her!*

He turned around on his other side pushing the tought out of his mind.

He didnt cry during the funeral nor did he spoke.

*you could have protected her with your new found power.*

"argh!" Lunatic pushed his face in his pillow.

After 2 more hours Lunatic faced the fact that he wasnt going to sleep anymore and got up.

 

He went back to rose her grave. When tears finaly broke him he said "Rose I've known you for so long. All the time on Ponieville you were always there. You were always there for everyone. And now." Lunatic swallowed. "And now I couldnt even be there for you"

After a few second of crying he said "And I'm sorry that I have never told you this when you were alive but... I loved you. I loved you so much. Your kindness, your permanent smile and your neverending trust in ponies." Lunatic swallowed again "I know I should have been there to protect you and if it was possable i'd trade places with you. I hope you will finaly have the world you were looking for up there"

 

Lunatic stayed for long hours after that just crying.

Seal had yet to speak at all; she was quite shocked and scared at everything that happened. The moment they were settling down in the clearing after buring Rose, she went to sleep.

 

Nidal flipped around in the air and pushed herself off a cloud. There, in the distance, she could see the forest with the town nearby. She flew on; she had decided. Eventually, she arrived and settled down on a tree for the night.

 

Void finished feasting on two more ponies before he went to one of his nests and cracked his back. "I am never going to let something do that again." With that done, he went to sleep.

Because of being a light sleeper, Cloud heard the faint flapping of wings and turned to see Nidal returning, he breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing her. He laid back down as he saw her fly to a tree branch, Perhaps she still wishes to be alone, he thought to himself, She will talk when she wants to.

The early dawn sun washed over the group, Cloud woke up, feeling more refreshed after he slept. He woke the rest of the group, as well as Seal and EB, "Now let's go find that element, we lost a friend yesterday, lets not let her death be in vain" as he gathered his supplies, he walked to the tree where Nidal was asleep, "Psst, Nidal... we're heading out now" he said quietly up to her....
