Most Random Poem Ever

I kind of felt like my poetry all had the same "feel" to it.

 

So I wrote this.

 

Think the poem over before you comment please.

 

Then criticize the bloody hell out of it (Can I say that since I'm American?)

 

 

 

All of my poetry 

has the same

mood

and

rhyme

 

fourteen 

syllables in 

every line even stanzas

somber 

mood

 

what a metaphor

for life

ruts 

and grooves

press repeat

playback

ture the monotony

 

be spontaneous

and unpredictable

aggressive goldfish

Actually that's pretty good. I like it, do you have any other poems for show?

I put all of my poetry in my blog here on the forums. I've only written three so far but I'm proud of them. The do all have the same mood (as I said in the poem) and roughly the same structure though.

 

I finally titled this poem: Read Around the Words

Heh, that's very good. I guess that is what you would call metapoetry, and I'm a sucker for anything meta. I don't really know much about poetry though.

I didn't even know what metapoetry was when I wrote this. Now I can tell people I'm a metapoet and feel like a hipster!
