Hello there everybody! My name is DJ Rainbow Dash!

 

So currently, I am training to become a DJ for my local radio station at my college that I am attending, and eventually will have a show there. And my actual DJ name is DJ Rainbow Dash, I have explained the origin on air and such, which was quite the comedy 

 

Anyway, since I am such a music junkie, I wanted to make a thread where I would post daily music of mine, which will spread across many genres such as Indie Rock and Pop, Trip Hop, Metalcore, Electro Swing, and so much more!

 

Also, feel free to post any music you might be listening to that you'd like to share! Anybody and everybody is encouraged to do so!

 

 

So for today, the song that I'll be starting with is a recent discovery of mine. This is Bones by MS MR. The song has sort of an 80s pop feel, but at the same time is dark and sorta brooding in overall atmosphere while still staying somewhat upbeat. The singer seems to take influence from Adele, as her vocal style really reflects this.

 

The video is a bit suggestive and mature in content, just letting ya know

I actually have that whole NIN album. I love it, my favorite is probably Sin.

Pop music and pop rock can sometimes get a bad rap, with the lack of originality in the two respective genres. However, when you dive beneath the surface of the more popular artists, you suddenly find breaths of fresh air. I found that 2 years ago with a pop rock group called Graffiti6. A smooth ready for radio feel combined with slick drums and a crooning soulful voice in lead singer in Jamie Scott, the band is easily accessible for a majority of the population, young and old. In Annie You Save Me, the key here is the infectious chorus that might get stuck in your head as it did mine. I highly recommend the track if you are a lover of pop rock, or just like catchy well written music.

Anyway, our song of the day for today is by a funky dance rock band known as Bad Rabbits. No, the name has nothing to do with actual rabbits, so sorry to those who have their hopes up for a bunny esque band or something. I don't really know what I'm talking about...

 

ANYWAY... they just released a brand new song which will be on their next album called Doin It. The song is as funk rock as one can go, complete with a fat slap bass line that will send chills down your spine and make you want to get up and dance. The lead singer's voice croons with edginess, moreso than in some of their past songs, and basically the song is just a non-serious party type song. Get your boogie on with this 3 minute track!
