People over there actually remember (or copy down) others tripcodes?! That's...some crazy dedication right there.

Most of the time tripcodes of famous users are rather easy to remember. But if a mod feels a bit upset at you, he might change your tripcode to something degrading (it could be awesome tho, because that means you actually managed to get a mod upset)

And why would you even consider /b/ as an option

Because I love random? Vbrgu.png

I spent most of my early internet time in that place

I know about 4chan from others mentioning it but to be honest never spent little to no time on that sit >.>.

You should give the site a try. Some of the SFw boards can be fun you know :3

You're going to start posting fics on 4chan? Feeling daring, aren't we?

Someone could impersonate you if you only used a name. The tripcode part is what enables the specific identifier that sticks to your posts.

I shouldn't have said private. Tripcode users will have talks amongst themselves in a thread, as if it were a chatroom. It's called "circlejerking" by those who oppose it.

Not all tripcode users are elitists, even /v/ likes some trip users. Well, maybe they tolerate some of them. But yes, a lot are like that. Oh well.

And why would you even consider /b/ as an option

Not fics, per se, but become a writefag. And It was just an example. I can't write for shit.

Lol, I've seen that used before.

Also, since we're partially on words and their meanings on 4chan, what's beta and alpha supposed to mean? I've seen it a couple of times in /mlp/

Warning: as im sure you will visit /mlp/ being a brony and all, you will see shit you probably wont like. Its generally safe during the day (as far as I've seen) and gets a bit more risque at night. Not always though.

It's an acquired taste.

As if mods exist anymore, or would do that to you in the first place.

If it were 2008, I would say go for it. But /b/ is garbage now. You know how they say "/b/ was never good"? Well, that's both true and not true. It was never really good... But it was better at one point in time.

I can see you've been spending time on /mlp/, with you using "writefag" already...

Someone who is a beta is generally someone who is regarded as "subhuman," or undesirable. Like a socially awkward, nerdy, and unhealthy neckbeard. Kinda like me, except I don't have a neckbeard. An alpha is just the opposite.

As Haven said, steer the hell away from /mlp/ U44KB.png

You should totally check that place out when it's midnight on America. Some highly questionable things have happened

If my memory serves me right, the gold age was somewhere in the 2005. While the traffic wasn't exceptionally high, almost everyone can and will contribute to any quality thread, very unlike what they have now :/

I don't know what happened in its early existence in 2003, but some people said that /b/ was actually SFW that time :o

Oops... :x

At least I didn't say 'drawfag' earlier...

Aah, I understands naow.

Like, people actually take the time out of their day to remember a specific person's trip code?

I mean, despite it being an assortment of random numbers and letters, you can tell at a glance if someone is impersonating someone else.

And there are programs that allow you to make tripcodes that are easier to "read." You can make them spell out words and such if you want to.

What do you mean by "highly questionable"?

2008 was the last decent year, I think. Now it's all porn.

4chan's random board. Don't go there.
