You've been using FL longer than I have, and I know what that is. I've even used it in a project before.

i know what sidechaining means, but i was confused at what he meant with "side chaining basspatch" because i'm a total idiot when it comes to music terms. 

 

The only reason I stick around this place is because I have nowhere else to go, really. Otherwise, the people here piss me off like crazy, and I want to get out.

i've had those thoughts myself, actually. i felt disconnected from the place and wanted to leave. i actually did for a week or so to another forum. barely lasted there because i couldn't just leave here.

 

 

I dislike fake "friendliness" quite a bit. It seems to be here. Quite a bit.

i'm unsure of the meaning of this in here. i'm just making bonds with people i feel that i can trust, so i've never really had the disadvantage of having a fake friend. course, that means i stuck to myself for 10 years or so of my life before i even made friends, and that's only been online. 

 

I've joined in on the Skype chat a few times. It gets me annoyed.

i left that place ages ago. hell even our group chat i left because i don't feel there's any point to be in there.

oh, i see. i don't generally collect music compilation CDs. they're worth shit and it's mostly just a whole album's worth (20 or so songs) containing radio edits of popular songs. getting albums and singles are better because they are generally worth more money plus a lot more fun to collect and listen to.

It's hard for me to see how a person can just get up and leave every single bit of a fandom that they've been an extremely active member for all so suddenly. You'd think it would be a more gradual process.

 

Also, it's usually this kind of person that you see back on the forums a few days/weeks after they said they were leaving. Giving up everything so fast like that has to be a rough transition... It's like quitting cold turkey.

Well, thats elementary school though. It might and probably is done differently for you, but that would actually make sense for those grades (5th and below). That's just kids not giving a fuck who they are friends with. Once you're past that mark, though, is when its true fakeness imo. Cause thats when you actually start figuring out that the teachers have been lying to you about everyone being friends and that not everyone is compatible and thus the groups of middle school are formed.

i'm still not sure about this fake friendliness thing because i'm a complete idiot when it comes to social interaction. remember i didn't have a friend for over 10 years. the first interaction i really did with people was when i got onto the internet at around age 13. i've always had great connection with my teachers, though. they got me better. it made me believe i was on a different kind of state, mentally, which i honestly am actually because of my condition.

 

due to my introversion, i value people whom i can trust on a higher level, thus am more selective when it comes to making friends. unfortunately, that makes me completely alone in school sans for my teachers, though.

i kind of remember how to sidechain tracks, but honestly, it wouldn't work with this bassline. it's not even acting as a bassline, because i'm playing on dumb ass octaves like 6 and 5. remember it was past 5 AM over here, i was not right in the head when i started producing farty, whiny, high-octave bassline melodies covering dumb Renard skits, Geno's Theme, classical music, and then sorta evolving into what i'd like to call "post-desert fartcore".

It comes in handy, yes. Pretty much all EDM has sidechaining somewhere in it.

What's normal length?

The longest I've gotten is only close to six minutes.

And I don't plan on ever making anything near that length unless I just go insane and attempt some kind of progessive house.
