because, unlike Studio B, fans don't have to:

 

write stories for 26 individual episodes

voice act and re-hearse the characters of each episode

draw absolutely everything, from chalkboard sketches into what is aired. they make a number of small animation mistakes, as it's really inevitable because animation is hard as shit

soundtrack EVERYTHING and cue it so it fits in with what happens in the show

 

and so on and so on.

 

also, that's a single picture. of course it's easier to make one great picture than one great season of episodes.

...took over a year to make IIRC. and that was ONE EPISODE. compare that to Studio B making 26 episodes in less than half that time.

i don't see how your point still stands. do you know how much time and effort is required to produce an entire animated season? even producing that single episode took over one year to make, and look how many were involved behind that shebang:

 

 

then you look at the credits of a single episode of the show. THAT'S how many people are working on the show.

 

also, i don't see how releasing one episode of season 4 now is good marketing. Studio B's personell have like, lives, you know?
