But you can't take Alduin's soul. It doesn't matter that you're dragonborn. You just can't do it.

 

Watch this closely.

 

 

Does it look like you get his soul? You can clearly see the "wisps" of his soul going into the sky, NOT into you.

Yep. He's certainly no normal dragon. Killing him simply won't work, in any case, because he'll just come back.

Another Dragonborn won't show up, because you are the last Dragonborn. There will be no more after you. I recommend becoming a vampire so you can be there the next time he shows up.

I don't know, I can't find any info saying that that is what the name implies.

Me neither. I could find no evidence to support or refute the fact that he/she is the last one, besides the name. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if that's the case.  :dash:
