Some of my best friends left.

You see, waaay back in December I made an account on these forums. I was nervous, because I've never been on a forum before. I was welcomed by a nice community, everyone was happy that I was here.

 

Fast Forward a month or so, it's January. I've finally gotten the hang of posting, I felt like I was actually contributing something to these forums.

 

I was always in the chatroom, just hanging out with my buddies. (Shankveld and LRP come to mind)

 

Springtime or so, I felt the community was becoming less and less strewn together. I no longer see my buddies on a regular basis, I'm lucky to see them once a day.

 

Finally, the chatroom was removed. My favorite part of the forums was gone, then came the badges which instead of being a reward turn into some shitty system that ranks people based on how many posts a person has made. So now, people make a big deal out of badges for nothing: they're cosmetics.

 

I decided to quit, I came back in August. I see Shankveld, one of my best friends has left.

 

While I'm happy for her wedding, I'm disheartened that one of the very first people to welcome me on here has left.

 

Here I am, an insignificant fish in a pond filled with 6,000 other fishes. Some being bigger than others.

 

I feel the community has degraded, I feel I have degraded. I don't feel like I should continue on here.

 

Aah, I see that lot coming from leaving threads. Its up to you, man. If you really feel like you don't wanna be here anymore then go find somewhere else where you can be happy. My only problem is having the chat room be a reason to leave. This is a forum, not a chat site. Its wasn't made so people could talk in real time with others about anything at all, but to discuss certain things in a civil matter.

 

I say stay and try to make more friends or get used to how it is now if you can. Otherwise I would try and find a new place to fill in for this one. Which, you're still gonna have to start over fresh anyway.

 

Also, im pretty sure LRP left as well.....

hey you have to accept changes my friend, people come and go, but you can always meet great new people, there new members from that are making a name by themselves already, and I actually never stop to meet nice people on here, so get yourself out there and start from scratch if you enjoy the forums, I bet there are many people intereste in what you have to say.
