Probably my biggest problem with anything here is my motivation; It's that I think so negative about everything.

 

I think I ended up conditioning myself to NOT go forward with any of my ideas, whether it be writing or RPing. Drawing is the only thing I have left, but that's the one thing I literally have no time for, so I'm left with nothing else. To make up for that, I simply will talk about anything with no regard as to what it is or what's going on or if it's relevant or anything.

 

Either that or I'm somewhat bipolar and that I'm constantly switching polarity. I can tell, after several months of being here, that that polarity switch is monthly and I need to be constantly be reminded of either motivation or that things simply need to take time...

 

Im not sure if I would say Bipolar cause that would be an extremely sudden switch of emotions *snap* just like that. Stop thinking negative of everything. It might be hard to do, but it should be done. It doesn't do anything but harm. Don't go thinking extraordinarily positive just to have the expectations be killed, but don't just be straight negative. And even then, don't care to much whether something goes badly or not. If something goes wrong, note the errors, fix them, move on, and try again.

First, it's not the gameplay aspect that I'm good at, it's the modding part. One of my favourite things is this.

 

That's the only thing I'm "good" at: Imparting knowledge of how the NAM works in general, imparting ideas on how it could better work, as well as a few bits of other modding.

 

The only thing I'm not good at is finding the motivation to try anything else other than that... I could try my luck at BATing, but then I'd just stop right in the middle, though I already know I'm not cut out for that. Texturing, I can find it a bit more fun, but the sheer amount of work stops me every time. I guess what took me about two years to figure out for SC4 has yet to come true with here.

 

Beyond that, there's my art, but alas, massive time restrictions keep me from it. Perhaps I can try again soon...?

 

But beyond that still is trying something new, because I don't wanna always being doing the same thing. I've been wanting to RP for probably the past two weeks now, despite having never RP'd here at all. I've discussed it privately with a few others, but so far, it hasn't gotten anywhere; One's been unresponsive, and at least two others still need a character to use...

 

Maybe I'm not cut out to be a leader-like figure, because I always tend to "chicken out" somewhere.

 

Maybe if someone else led the discussion and I instead just followed along; What do you think?

 

Don't be afraid to try new things. You might find something you like. I try new things quite often depending on what it is and how hard it is to do. Now, the stuff I try to learn are nowhere as near as big as legit modding like you do, but its still a decent example. I wanna learn how to actual mod, sort of like how you do, but I gotta learn programming first. I learned how to slight mod some games on Xbox. Slight meaning no actual programming knowledge needed, just what program is needed and how to use it. Did the same to my PSP to put emulators and whatnot on it. Plan on fixing up my Wii as well, once I learn how to. I suck at drawing, but I want to try my hand at it again thanks to ponies and seeing the art that this fandom produces. Mind you that I have only drawn one good thing which was a set of three pictures done for school. For some reason large images came out much better than small. Not sure why. Randomly decided to try my hand at playing drums with zero knowledge about them. Wasn't hard to learn at all, really. Now while working on my technique I also learn songs by ear. Same for Band. Wanted to do snare, but due to bad circumstances I missed that chance. Still quite a bit Id like to learn how to do, but I cant get any of that done by just standing around fearing my failure. Just not gonna happen that way.

 

Just wait till you get time. Don't force it or it will turn out bad.

 

as for the peeps needing a character......Whoops.

I honestly feel like I would completely mess something up, which is why I'm really hesitant to get me a character made. :x

I don't like the feel of feeling like I was the one who either screwed something up like that or I made it a bad experience for everyone. :/

 

You may not be. I'm not one for most things. I like sitting in the back seat and following along. That way I know whats going on, but don't have to do anything that requires extra thought. Im bad at thinking on the go like that usually.

 

If youre referring to the PM on your RP then I think its going just fine, actually. Just gotta keep everyone on tract about it. If you're on something else then you could also lead those if done right. But you don't always have to. Letting others, especially those good at that sort of thing, is not a bad idea.
