That was a pretty good book.

I actually quite enjoyed it.

Ehh, we're all gonna be convicted of thoughtcrime in the end, and after several months of being reintegrated into society, we'll end up getting assassinated.

 

No way, so am/do i! I really hate thinking of death. Usually ends up with me spazzing out somewhat. I normally have to force myself off the subject in order to calm down.

There's something I call the "Triple D" which represents what I fear. Disappointment, disappearance and death. I don't want to let anyone down, I don't want to be forgotten, and I don't want to die.

Facing a large challenge all alone. No one by my side at all. All the weight of the world on my shoulders. I have to make a decision, and if I choose wrong, everyone dies. I can't have help. No one will could to save me. It's just me and two choices with no clear answer. I'm awful at making a definite decision. I know I'd get it wrong. And it would be my fault. No one but me... And then they all just die. They never had a chance. I failed.

To add on to that, after I fail, I am forced to listen to their strangled screams as they die before me. I know in my heart their last thoughts are "Why? Why did you fail us?" And there is nothing I can do. And then they make it seem like the right choice was so obvious. And they let me turn it over it my mind how freedom was so close. All I had to do was make the right choice. And then they kill me.

The world's in a perpetual war where the three surviving nations continually to fight, and the citizens of one nation (Ingsoc) are supporting the war effort... Via propaganda.

Dude, I watched the MLP premiere already, but I did not catch the Gak commercials...

 

Typically, when I'm watching a DVR recording, I skip through all the commercials.

 

 

I know about it, because my dad read it too. But I never read it, to be honest.

It's a very detrimental story. In fact, when my brother read it, he had high hopes that Winston and Julia would win, but I refuse to give out any spoilers.

 

I will tell you that the last sentence of the story is four words, and it has to do with Big Brother.
