What kind of weirdos?

CreepyBrony5.jpg

It's pretty damned awesome when you get past the weirdos here and there.

Overall, pretty kick ass.

Really? I heard there's a lot of negatives about going to a Con...

like yugioh?

No, I never really got into Yugioh.

What kind of weirdos?

*insert every insult used against bronies by brony haters here*

Like, not to be mean, but you do see a handful of less than socially acceptable people around, but that's gonna be like that at literally almost any con.

Oh, also the kind that offer you and your friends "caffeine pills". That actually happened.

You would have to be getting upwards of 20/hr and that's very hard to believe at all doing something like delivering ice.

It's pretty damned awesome when you get past the weirdos here and there.

1. I get paid by the bag (.03 cents for 10 pound bags and .06 cents for 20 pound bags) plus $45 base pay that doubles when you deliver 3000+ bags on a certain day

Plus, whenever I'm off route, I get paid $10.00 an hour

Holidays are killer, but they're the best source of money as pretty much a lot of the stores will end up emptying out like nearly the next day after a full delivery

Seriously!? Wow, that's insane! And they actually got away with doing this?

I forget you get that commission stuff for exactly how many bags you deliver in a given day. That's where you're getting so much extra from, but your base pay is still less than mine.

There can be. Which ones have you heard of specifically?

Well, I heard that you spend more time waiting around in lines then anything else...

Well, we all got up and walked the fuck away, but yes, they pretty much did as we didn't like, try to report them to anyone or anything. x)

The really odd part of that, is that that isn't exactly something odd to see at such an event.

Plus 4 hours

This week's check was $670.00 for last week's deliveries

I guess that depends if you actually go to panels and whatnot and they're filling up damn fast.

I waited in line to get my ticket and maybe get into the vendor hall on busy days, but that was really it other than like, in line for food. Ive seen lines for a few panels, but nothing extreme. Their little rave/music show thing they did had a line as well, but that was just to keep people from really flooding in. Vendor hall buying stuff is also a given on some lines depending on what they are selling. I know there was a huge one for a rare tcg card they were giving out at one point last year.

Keep in mind, I also tend to walk around the town and hang with my friends over actually doing panels and shit at the con, but I would not sa there were a bunch of lines to wait in. Nothing compared to like, a theme park or something.

That's hourly pay

I mean base pay as in I get guaranteed $45 along with route pay just for showing up and working route for the day

Which gets doubled to 90$ if I deliver 3000+ bags in a day

Anywhat

I gotta go to bed

Nighty night ^_^

Exactly.

I don't get the other stuff you get.

Do they not stack or something? As in, you get hourly off route and a separate route pay when on it?

Huh, well that doesn't sound too bad.  I wish I could go to one, but they never happen where I live.

Me too...

Yeah... Living in an isolated place has its advantages, but it means I can never go to things like this.

Dig a hole and cover it in a tarp.

Instant isolation!

sounds more like a cheap grave.

Not for me... I guess I already have an isolated place
