"Dunno, we should probably head towards City Hall and find out. If I had to guess there might be a few ponies there already." He commented before making his way towards their location. Even though he wasn't in the race, he knew it would make for some good entertainment.

"Alrighty then, to City Hall!" Storm Cloud went ahead of Dogboots and made his way towards City Hall. "I wonder how excited Mayor Mare would be to see me there, haha!" The thought of Mayor Mare disliking him made him chuckle. He knew somepony would dislike him for being childish or obnoxious, but he never thought it'd be the Mayor of Ponyville. It gave him another story to tell to other ponies, especially Vinyl Scratch, who he hasn't seen in a while.

Fire Star

After Fire talk to Rainbow Dush he looked around and saw Dogboots and a new gray pegisai he never saw before. Fire decided to walk to them and say to Rainbow Dash " I See you in the race OK bye then" he said in a happy voice.

 

" Hi Dogboots how are you and who is your new friend " He said in a nice tone. He look at the gray pegisai and said " You must be new in town let me introduce myself  my name is Fire Star" he happly said to the new pony.

 

After that he look in a distance he saw Twilight in the crowd look at something. " Um I what she's looking at" he thought to himself.

After Fire talk to Rainbow Dush he looked around and saw Dogboots and a new gray pegisai he never saw before. Fire decided to walk to them and say to Rainbow Dash " I See you in the race OK bye then" he said in a happy voice.

 

" Hi Dogboots how are you and who is your new friend " He said in a nice tone. He look at the gray pegisai and said " You must be new in town let me introduce myself  my name is Fire Star" he happly said to the new pony.

Storm acloud said in a jokingly tone. He rushed to the starting line and looked for an open space. On the way he saw Applejack and said to her, "Hey Applejack, good luck in the race." A few spots down was Rainbow Dash, the pegasus he is determined to challenge to a flying race. "Good Luck Rainbow Dash." He decided to take the space next to Rainbow Dash.

Vinyl looked at him and said, "The real reason why you went here is....?" Vinyl waited for a response. G-Pony was now confusing her, and she wanted to know why he is here in the first place. She hoped he'd hurry because she wanted to test something out on her new mix. Vinyl also thought about the race today. Was she going to DJ before the race or not? Does she know anypony entering the race? Now Vinyl wanted to go see the race.

"Vinyl, I was thinking to pull this epic prank on somepony," He decided to tell the truth. "Well, that pony is giving a presentation, and when the judges are giving him a verdict, I was trying to, you know, troll them by saying that his potion failed, but instead of teleporting there, somehow I reappeared here."

"By the way, what is that "race" that I keep hearing?"

Rainbow Dash was finishing up her warm up stretches when she sees AJ and the gray pegasi coming to the staging area for the race.

 

"Hey AJ, Whats up?"

 

She than notices that the gray pegasi rookie from the weather team approach her. Hey rookie, whats up? You know this is a running race, right? I'll try not to take it too hard on ya. AppleJack and I have gone at it every race now, and it's always two close to call, that's why I keep doing it...well that and to get some exercise," Rainbow Dash laughed. "I've been hearing that you've been wanting to try to beat me to an air race. Well you've got a lot to learn about some of the pegasi in this town. You see, with all the newbies in Ponyville, we may have the best flyers in all of Equestria. You see that orange tall hanging from that cloud? That's Corkscrew. Him and I go way back to my first flight camp. He can give any pony a run for their money, but after hearing from Cloud Chaser, you set a new quadrant record, so I may have to keep my guard up. Get it, guard up? because of Corks.....ah never mind, he's two busy sleeping."

Rainbow sees what appears to be a half fox pony approach the race area. Rainbow Dash was a little confused. She had never seen anything like Fire Star.

 

"Uh, Hi? I'm Rainbow Dash. You must be that pony that Twilight was telling me about. Nice to meet you."

 

Rainbow dash looks back to Storm Cloud and gives him a competitive wink.

[Rainbow Night 11]

Fluttershy   Fluttershy had just finished her morning chores when she saw Rarity and Darksun coming down the road.  "Oh!  Hello Rarity!  Hi Darksun!" she called to them.  It was still a little bit weird to be talking to the brother of the princesses so casually, but she had gotten used to it over the past few weeks.  He really was pretty much like everypony else, just with both wings and a horn.   It seemed that they were curious whether or not she was going to the race today.  "Oh yes, I was planning on going to cheer on Rainbow Dash and Applejack.  I'll be ready soon, I just have to go and grab Angel bunny."  

 We were also going to see if Twilight and Pinkie Pie wanted to come said Darksun. Yeah it will be fun said Rarity. the pets were still playing with the ball of yarn. Well are you ready to go Fluttershy asked Darksun. He took the ball of yarn Jingles still hanging on to it as he put it into his saddle bag.

 We were also going to see if Twilight and Pinkie Pie wanted to come said Darksun. Yeah it will be fun said Rarity. the pets were still playing with the ball of yarn. Well are you ready to go Fluttershy asked Darksun. He took the ball of yarn Jingles still hanging on to it as he put it into his saddle bag.

Fluttershy soon returned with Angel riding in her saddlebag.  "Oh, um, yes.  I'm ready now.  Sorry for the wait... I just needed to pack a few snacks in my bag for Angel."  Finally ready to go, she hurried out the door behind Darksun and Rarity.  She hoped that they wouldn't be late.

"Rainbow Dash cheated?" Storm Cloud didn't quite like the sound of that. But he had a feeling that Rainbow Dash wouldn't cheat. But he hoped his feeling is right. But then he got everything on his mind and leave one thought left: do good in race, challenge Rainbow Dash in a race in the skies, them win and earn the title of Ponyville's or maybe even Equestria's fastest flyer. He looked at Rainbow Dash again and stretched his legs to get his full speed at an earlier time.

"I think both of you are forgetting the new pony in town? Hahaha, good luck to both of you and see you at the finish line!" Storm Cloud said in a friendly yet competitive tone. Storm Cloud hoped the training didn't wear him out, and then he got a little nervous. He thought to himself, "Oh buck, if the training wore me out I'll look like the biggest fool in Ponyville since I already started talking smack." He tried to get it out of his mind, but it was as if it was imprinted. Now it felt like it would take forever for the race to start. Then a voice in his head said, "Hey what are you doing? Don't get yourself nervous. All that training for nothing! Now focus, the minute the signal to start sounds, you better take off!" Surprisingly he felt more pumped up, now pounded the ground with his hoof to make sure the adrenaline didn't overload.

Fire Star

After Fire introduce himself Storm Cloud said the race is going to start. Fire look at Dogboots and said " I didn't heard they announce to race is going to start did you" Fire said being confused.

 

Fire start to think and he had a question to ask Dogboots for a while " Dogboots I have to ask you this question. Why do you hate Royalty so much did something happin in the past" Fire said to him.

 

After Fire finsh asking his question to Dogboots Fire look at Twilight how is walking to them. "um I need to enter the raceing start line bye Dogboots" Fire walk to the start line.

 

He look at Rianbow Dash and he saw a other pony that muat be Apple Jack. He walk to her " Hello there you must be Apple Jack I i'm Twilight friend lite me introduce myself I'm Fire Star" Fire said in a nice tone

Before Dogboots could even get the opportunity to respond back to Fire he had already left for the starting line. He reflected on the question and there were numerous reasons why he hated Royalty and Nobility. Though he couldn't bring himself to tell Fire.

"Anypony else running this race or is it just the four of us? Unless we're early? Hey Mayor Mare, What time is the race going to start?

 

Other ponies had begun to show up for the race: Derpy, BonBon, Laura, Cloud Chaser, Snowflake, and a few other "background" ponies The start of the race was coming soon.  A hot air balloon was filling up with air in the distance. All that was needed was the mayors word to start the race.

 

Corkscrew

Meanwhile Corkscrew had been catching up on his sleep on Rainbow Dash's vacated cloud. He thought he heard Rainbow mention his name, but was too tired to notice.

Corkscrew was startled out of his nap by a telaporting pony. By now he had been sleeping a few hours, but still was not 100 precent awake. He yawns.

 

"Not this race," he yawns again. "I was planing to, but I wasn't able to sleep last night, so I'm sitting...or sleeping this one out. By the way, how the hay did you get up here anyhow? You don't have wings."

 

Darksun then thought that his best pal in the world was gonna be really happy that Fluttershy was going to be there. Then Darksun whispered into Rarity's ear. Is that so she said and looked at Fluttershy then back at Darksun. She giggled then kissed his cheek. Darksun smiled and said I love you to Rarity.

 

Rarity

 

Rarity was thinking about what Darksun told her on their way to Pinkie Pies place. When they finally got there Darksun knocked on Pinkies door and they waited.

"Hey Rarity! What's up Fluttershy? What's new Eclipse? Are you as excited about the race today as I am? I'm so pumped! This will be the first race that Dashie and AJ will be in since the Running of the Leaves a while back. So where are you guys going next? We have a some time to kill before the race starts?"

Apple Jack shak Fire hoof up and down so fast he start to shak himself. After she finish shaking his hoof he said' um thanks for that shak it was a good one you almost took off my hoof Apple Jack" Fire said it in a shaking voice he is still shaking.

 

Fire stop shaking and look at Apple Jack " woo finally I stop shaking well I hope we have a good race today Apply Jack see you in the finish line. I know I well be in last place in this race but I well have fun" after he finsh talking to her Fire walk to his place in the race.

 

Twlilght

Twilight walk to Dogboots and said " Well hello Dogboots how are you today" she said in a nice tone. " I see Fire is in the race are you going to enter the race Dogboots" Twlilght said ask him. " I know Fire well do is best in the race I know Rainbow and AJ will make in first and second place in the race. But it will be fun for him what do you think Dogboots" Twilight said in a happy tone knowing Fire need to make some new friend and Rianbow and AJ well help him for that.

"Good afternoon Miss Sparkle. No, I will not be competing in this race. I honestly have no reason to even join plus I'd rather watch. I'm sure Fire will be fine. I've personally never seen him run so I can't make any assumptions. However, he had asked me earlier why I have such a disdain for Royalty." He said thinking back to Fire's earlier question. He knew the answer but it was just his view.

Corkscrew began to stare at the unicorn for a few moments before he spoke.

 

 "I've got to....go......I never caught your name?"

 

Corkscrew was a little paranoid by the unicorn. It must have been something from training. He was normally an outgoing pony, but something about that potion did not feel right, and with the ordeal he went through with Max, he did not care to repeat it.
