The stallion kept breathing steadily and soon stopped breathing in the bag. Dogboots took in his surroundings with such a dull look on his face. He didn't seemed fazed at all that has happened. "Why, can't I feel anything?" The earth pony asked outloud, it seemed as though there was something important missing from Dogboots.

 

Pinkie Pie

"Dogboots, you look drained...Litterer! I know! I'll try to cheer you up. That always works!"

 

Pinkie was trying to make funny faces in front of him to try to get him to smile, and would not stop until she got a reaction.

And then Corkscrew ask him he is OK Fire tell him " My wings hurt I think my wings is broken brother" he said in a sand tone. Fire look at him " I sorry big brother I was so happy I was flying, I my have broken my wings. Brother you think my wings are ok or is broken" He ask Corkscrew.

"I don't think it's broken...but I think you strained it. You have to build up strength in your wings before you can fly fast. It's just like learning to walk again. Once it's healed up again, we'll go for another round, sound good?"

 

 

 

Luna look at Corkscrew said out loud he was wounding what is the third thing is about. Luna then said to him " Good morning you two I see two of you having a fun time" Luna smile. " Now Corkscrew your lesson is today is a little different now come with me " Luna started to leave the room

"Yes Princess. We were having a blast. I just think Fire overdid it a bit."

" I going to show you a secret a dark secret only me a my sister know. But you need to know this secret because this will help you out and in there is your great grand father books before he became Evil. But you can't tell know one what you learn including your little brother this is a top secret information. You need to promise me be fore I saw you the room" Luna tell him with a serious look on her face.

 

"My...great great great grandfather's book?" He said in confusion. "Do you mean....Mars?" His ears drooped.

 

"I have a question....Kind of. I think I figured out why he came after me. I was thinking back to when I was a young colt. Mom was saying that I was the first male to be born on her side of the family in almost 1000 years....back to a time when." He stopped before he mentioned it in front of her. "I take it if I go back far enough, Mars had a child with a pegasus mare? And than she had a mare, and so on till I was born?"

 

"I promise that I won't speak a word of what is in there to anypony. Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye."

Normally, Dogboots would've been annoyed or angry from that but there was no response from the earth pony. He just seemed to take it, then again he had been through much worse than most ponies.

 

"It's fine Rainbow, she's trying and that's all that counts. Anyways, sorry Pinkie...nothing. I don't know why i'm feeling like this. It may have something to do with Parcel sucking too much of my love out of me. Even if I were to see 'her' again, I wouldn't feel anything. No love, no joy, no sorrow..." He said plainly. In a way he was almost like a robot, completely emotionless.

Corkscrew was telling her what mars was after him but then he stop talking. And started to mentioned Luan look at him. And then he answer her question to not tell know pony at all.

 

Luna tell him " Good I well put you in the secret room " Then she look at the book shelf's and pull down a book and a secret door opine. She walk in tell him to follow her in a matter of seconds they enter a room full of old book's leding back to the early time before the princess come to power. And the book shelf have a meter plat on one of them and say ( The Dark Secret of Equestria).

 

" Now these book will help you out to fine out to stop Mars to controlling you. All these book's have a lots of dark secret not only Mars but all the history of Equestria. Now your next lesson is to read the journal of Mars and tell me or my Sister to what you learn and we can help you out. But the rest of the lesson you have to fine on your own" Luna tell him.

Plagal asked, surprised.  Nopony had ever asked to know everything about him.  In fact, there were very few ponies who ever asked to know anything about him.  He took a small sip of his drink before continuing.  "Well, it's not terribly interesting...  I was born and raised in Canterlot and began a life of music at a very young age.  That's when I learned that I had a knack for composition, and I've been writing music ever since.  I eventually started running out of ideas, so I thought that a new environment might help, and... er..."  He was suddenly drawing a blank.  His mind seemed to just skip over that point in his life.  Doing his best to not look foolish, he continued, "And I think that that's when I moved to Ponyville.  The memory is sort fuzzy at the moment though...  Er, so anyways, have you found Ponyville to be to your liking so far?"

Fluttershy returned with the water for the stallion and placed it in front of him.  "I think that you're mind might still be recovering from the shock," she said, though was not really convinced that this was the truth.  "You can stay here with me tonight and get some rest.  If you're not better by tomorrow, then..."  She paused.  Then what? she asked herself.  What if the stallion was right?  What if the changeling did suck out all of his emotions?  Would he end up becoming like Corkscrew?  "Then we'll go and find you someone who can help."

She listen just barely to the conversation she was reminded why she despised the pony race, they always seemed to go on about themselves but she made no indication with her face that she was getting bored but she wasn't getting any good tasting emotions which was making her impatient, "I'm loving it but i really do need to get back to my friend this has been fun and thanks for the drink." She pushed away the untouched beverage, she was only interested in getting the stallion intoxicated but he clearly wasn't getting the memo, but other than that she really did need to find Nexus or better prey, "alright well I'll just take my leave."

"Thank you Princess for trusting me with this knowledge." as he entered the libary. He could tell that nopony had been in that section for ages.

 

"Princess Luna.....Could you do me a favor while I'm in here? I'm afraid that Fire might of pushed himself too hard trying to fly. Could you look over his wing again for me? Also, We've been up since before the sun came up. Could you please get him some breakfast?"

 

Corkscrew sat there, almost afraid to read his ancestor's book. It had acquired a large amount of dust over the 1000 years of sitting there. He levitated the book down, blowing the dust off of it. It's cover matched the book that he took from the castle ruins.

 

As he opened the book, he began to read. He was shocked what he read. A large portion of the book was about nightmare energy and his experiments.

 

The chapter that shocked him the most was that of Mars becoming a father with a mare pegasus.

 

As he neared the end of the book, he stopped. dropping the book. Putting his head down for a few moments. A few hours had passed, and he left the small room, looking for Luna. He dared not tell Celestia what he learned in the book.

 

"Princess, I've finished the book. I need to talk to you in private."

The stallion's eye twitched slightly at the mention of the princess. Though Dogboots didn't seem to care after that. Celestia would probably laugh at the earth pony. in a way it was ironic, he pretty much told off the princess and then shortly after that gets the life sucked out of him.

Fire shake his head and Luna look at his wings in matter of seconds she tell him " Your wings are OK Fire you just hurt your wings but you didn't broke your wings at all.  Tomorrow your wings be fine and you can fly again but do not push your self ok  give it time you well fly faster in know time" Luna tell him.

 

Fire look and shake his head and Luna and Fire stared to walk to the caster kitchen. They where going to the kitchen Twilight come up them and ask Luna she need to talk to her. Luna tell Fire to stay here for a minute and she walk to Twilight.

"Your cousin....My great great great great great grandfather...Mars, saw you sister, Celestia as a bully. He thought that by creating the nightmare energy that he could help you level the field so that you and your sister were even but something went wrong along the way."

 

"I had a good long chat with myself....er Me and Mars...in my head....He has left me. You can tell Celestia that he will cause no more trouble. He's gone."

 

Corkscrew gave a slight grin because of what Mars had showed him in his head before leaving. Something that he would keep a secrete until called for.

 

"Thank you for all your help Princess Luna. I'm going to he heading back to my room if that's ok? Also, do you mind if I keep the book in case I get any surprises from this post nightmare form?"

Canterlot train station was a bussle of noice and moving but only two figures stood still in all the commotion, two pairs of eyes scanned the city streets searching whispers exchanged between the two but nopony noticed.

"I don't like it here Flint, there's far too many enemies in this city you remember what happened last time."

"I know Vipper but we know our orders scout the city and look for the one the queen may still need him and she wants to know his location. Besides last time the city was on high alert they'll never suspect us because to them we don't exist."

Her companions smile soothed her nerves but only slightly for there were so many prey just trotting about in the way they do, the way she hated. "At least this'll only be for a few days."

 

 

Parcel Shift

 

He followed behind Nexus but he fell back a bit due to the fact that his injury was slowing him down quite a bit. He was just about to call out for them to wait up when all the sudden he saw a streak of gold crossed his vission and he was knocked off his hooves he sprung back ready to attack when he saw who it was "LUMINARI!" She clung to his neck as if for dear life sobbing furiously, he patted her head and nuzzle against her affentionately. "Ssshh, it's ok I'm here now." He was just glad to see het.

Rusty was angry. That run in with his old classmate made his blood boil. He looked around, getting ready to leave.

 

"Not only dose he get speical treatment in training, he get to become an alicorn...BULL!" he said in anger as he walked off his post.

 

"I'll show him! I'll show them all who is the best guard...no Pony in all of Equestria. If I'm not appricated here, than maybe I'm on the wrong side...but first things first...." he said as he walked up to the armorer.

 

"Do you have that....thing I asked for? Good!" He said with an evil grin. "Let see how well Celestia likes it when her Star guard...Prince....What ever snaps again."

 

He goes up to the room and places the box on Corkscrew's bed. Inside it, a tiara and princess shoes.

 

He left in a hurry, he did not what to be around when the explosion of an angry alicorn happened.

 

Rusty had heard roomers of Changelings being spotted again in Ponyville, Baltimare, and Fillidelphia, so he thought why not Canterlot. He left, looking for one or two ponies that looked to not blend in well with Canterlot society.
 

After searching the main plaza, a train from Ponyville arrives. He was somewhat used to seeing the occasional county bumpkin come off the train, but two ponies caught his eye. he wallked up behind them. He remembered their code to identify with other changelings from the first attempt during the royal wedding when he befriended on of the changelings.

 

"Celestia's Night is darkest of them all." waiting for a response for the two.

Viper was glaring at the ponies passing by before she turned her attention to the guard and she leaned over to her match whispering to him, "Flint, I don't like this he smells of food."

"Relax, love, I'll take care of this," speaking louder to the guard he said, "how's about we discuss this out of the open."

To top if off, she knew we didn't get along and she posts ME in front of the door to watch him!"

 

He took a moment to recover his calm.

 

"I still think she's mad about that love potion incident a few months ago. It kind of funny though. I give Corkscrew a love potion on the day of graduation hoping to ether get him kicked out of the guard or embarrass him enough to quit. He hit on her during the ceremony and gets a month off payed in Ponyville! Than when he comes back for his assignment, she promotes him and than kisses him in front of everypony in the class to get back at us I guess."

Viper and Flint exchanged glances, bound by their match their minds were linked, conversing about what the guard had just said, "yes we do remember the alicorn you speak of a few months ago we executed an attack on him and some others but it was unsuccessful and we were pushed back. The queen wants to keep tabs on him now but there was no information about a brat, will it be a problem?"

Viper had now moved to the bathroom and was splashing some water on her face before moving things around with much noise.

It's been enchanted to allow anypony wearing it to enter the castle through the protection spell. As for your companion, I have the roster of guards that are on vacation. My brother, Silver Shield is in Las Pegasus on his honeymoon so she can take his armor. It's in the closet. There should be a picture of him on the wall here."

 

Rusty held out a hoof with an evil smirk.

"We have a deal, Right? You get your pony and I get out of here, no questions asked and immune for any type of changeling invasion out west in Las Pegasus."

After this she walked over to the closet and put on the armor she changed to an exact image of the photograph all the while Flint spoke, "I'm sorry about this but Viper has been feed off of you since the moment we stepped into this house fortunately for you thus means she can now immitate the voice of your brother, she's not too good with them otherwise. Anyway I'll be taking that armor from you now and we'll be out of your.... mane." He grinned at the humor of pony puns but also because everything was working out quite nicely, "you have my word that Las Pegasus will be out of the equation."

Luna look at Corkscrew and smile at him thinking of that silly unicorn of the past. " Will your great grandfather was trying to help me with my sister" Luna just kept on smiling. And no you can't not have the book it need to be in the secret part of the library. Sorry be you need to under stand if a pony fine the book in your room they can have a big secret of the past and it will put you, me, and  Celestia. Big problems and all the ponies in Equestria to question us. And we can't have at now what we are having big problems with the Changelings now" Luna said with a serious face.

 

" And you do not need a book to help you form surprises nightmare form you have your Brother to help you out. He can talk to you if you need it  a book can't not do at, He can hugs you if you feel sad or angry a book can't not do that. You need to feel lucky to have a brother how can't help you out gust like me with my sister." Luna smile at him.

 

Luna pick up the book of Corkscrew hoofs and put to next to her " Now go see your brother he with Twilight now and I will tell my sister what you have tell me have a good day Corkscrew" With at Luna walk way to see her sister.

 

Twilight and Little Fire

 

Twilight is walking to her room with Fire beside her. She noticed something he is a little red on his face she ask him " Are you ok Fire." 

 

Fire look at her and said " I OK Twilight I am kind of hungry" he said.

 

" Let me get a book in my room and then we can get some food OK " Twilight tell him with a smile.

 

Fire just node in two minutes he was look around On tell they got to the room of Twilight.

 

Twilight is looking for some thing in the room and she call out " Spike were are you I need you now" she yell for him.

 

Fire saw a purple baby dragon come out in a room he was in and he walk to her " Yes yes Twilight sorry I was in my mid day nap " he tell her

 

" Spike do you know where I put the book of Secrets of History" she ask him.

 

Spike thought for a minute and said " No I did not see it all day."

 

" Well Spike help me out " she tell him.

 

Fire gust saw them look for that book and Fire saw Book on a table. "Twilight I fine the book you are looking for" Fire tell her. 

 

Twilight walk to the table and grab the book and put it in her sadly bag. " Ok Now we can eat not Fire hey Spike do you want to come too" she ask him.

 

" Well Ok" Spike walk to them and they go off the kitchen in the castle.
