How would you reject a Pony confessing their feelings for you?

It's time for another weird thread by Rush, which is filled with illogical and baseless claims that destroys any sense of sanity for a normal person. Which would also cause the average person to take pitchforks and torches out in order to kill you, or if their friendly just look at you in a weird way.

 

Scenario: You live in one of the parallel universes (assuming multiverse theory is true) known as My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic still as a Human and can come home to Earth and come back to Equestria any time you wish or something like that.

 

Anyway, the question. How would you reject a Pony confessing their feelings for you? (Say he or she was your friend for quite awhile as you two became very good friends.)

 

You could be very mean and say: "Eww, get away from me you stinking animal!"

 

Not only should you never say something like that to another sapient species (which makes them technically a person) he or she may not be your friend any more, they will very likely hate you for saying such an insulting thing to them. How would you like it if I was a member of an alien sapient species and called you "You filthy primitive Humans are just animals! Sure, you can talk, but you're just banana eating monkeys at the end of the day." ??

 

The nicer thing to say: "I'm sorry, I appreciate your feelings for me, but I just don't feel that way about you."

 

Saying that would still hurt them, but it's likely they'll still be your friend at least.

 

Now, what would you have done or said? Anything, better I could of said in turning them down nicely.

This same logic I posted here, could be used for any sapient species/alien or whatever.

 

The type of person, who doesn't care about looks, and if you want to hook up with a sapient alien, I say go ahead.

 

Although, if someone like Zoidberg's species asked me out, I would say the second nice thing. No offence, but I wouldn't like to date a sapient lobster alien. XD

If one is a member of a sapient minded species and looks good and has a good personality, I would date the person.

Well....they're pretty much a person so...I'd reject them just the same as I'd reject a human being whom I didn't share those feelings with. 

 

Assuming they were my friend before hand I would very much encourage us to stay friends, but if it was just some random pony popping up outta nowhere to confess their love, I might be a lil more blunt.

Depends on how much time I've spent with said pony. For example, if I haven't spent that much time with said pony I'd say something like "Sorry, I don't know yet, let's start out as friends and get to know eachother better." and give them a hug.

 

But in general I'd say yes, sometimes a personality has a whole other side to it, one you only get to know but getting closer to the person/pony.

 

There I said it, I don't mind dating a sentient colorful pony, especially not if they look like the ones from the show.

That depends on the pony I am open to dating one of the ponies from the show if such a thing were possible but there are some I am interested in and others I am not. If it was Applejack or Twilight for example I would be very very happy and probably return those feelings right back if it was Rarity or Pinkie Pie I would decline as politely as I can though I really don't know exactly how I would say it though. I don't hate either of them but Rarity's vain side would probably drive me to drink, and though I do believe very strongly in many old fashioned chivalrous ideas on how to treat a lady and have good manners she would probably be put off by my blunt "I don't give a crap what others think about me" nature. And Pinkie Pie may be my third favorite pony but I am not sure I can handle her hyper active nature 24/7.

Bro, if Rainbow dash told me she loved me, I would burst into tears over the fact that she was even talking to me. Once I activate my smooth recovery, I would tell her I love her too and give her a hug. Then I would break down again and hope she doesn't think less of me (let alone during the first time). Hopefully I can tell this story ending with "true story" someday.

 

 

P.S. Good thing I study Aerospace engineering, cause if that multiverse thing is true, no damn thing in the universe is going to stop me from getting to that universe.

Snips and Snails? LOL that is quite the interesting example even if it is an example of ponies you wouldn't date, I don't know how I would be able to stop laughing if either of them did that I would probably feel bad about it but still. And then there is the fact that I am not gay and that I am pretty sure they are underage so no thank you on both counts.

If I had that chance, I would be hoping to catch Fluttershy's eye.  But given how shy she is, that might be a long shot, lol. I might have to confess my feelings for her first. 

 

This thread just made me realize that there is a universe where Molestia is a possibility.   That's kind of the possibilities you have with the multiverse theory.

I have read some fics where Fluttershy is a dominatrix so if you get really really lucky you might end up in that universe. All joking aside though Fluttershy is a pretty good choice but you would most likely have to be patient and gradually get her to open up.

That is the whole point of the Multiverse theory. Infinite numbers of worlds, and versions of you, where anything is possible. So yes there is a universe where you and Pinkie Pie are together  . But there is the possibility you wind up in one of the darker universes with her, just so you know, like "Cupcakes". Yeah I've thought about the Multiverse theory a bit, so the concept is not that far fetched to me.

I have no intention of actually being in a relationship any time soon -with anyone(/pony), so if I were to be faced with this type of situation, I would respectfully decline on the basis of maintaining my singleness.

Probably something along the lines of:

"Hey, I think it's great that you would consider me -a lowly human- to be your boy(colt?)friend, but I'm not actually interested in a romantic relationship with anyone.  Trust me, it's not you, I'm just not confident in my ability to be that person with anyone and it might actually hurt our friendship if something did go wrong."

It would depend about which pony asks me, but i'll probably reject them, not because they're ponies, because in this kind of situation, i'd treat them the same way i treat humans. I'd tell them that i'm not ready for a serious relationship, but i'd really like to remain good friends.
