Scamps nodded. "Okay. See you down there,.I guess." She spread out her wings and glided down the staircase and back into the lobby. The host was still there, along with a few other ponies. Might as well get to know the host. At least thank him. She walked up to him and smiled. "Hey, I just wanted to thank you for letting us all stay here. It's seldom I get invited to stuff, let alone a full-out vacation. So, I don't know what I did to get invited, but thank you for letting me come."

As soon as Scamper had left, Accent was ready to unpack when she heard a knock at the door. She walked over and opened it, seeing that it was Beat, as she tried to suppress a groan.

 

Him again...

 

"Oh, hello, Beat. Seems we meet again. How are you liking the trip so far?"

Beat smiled. "I'm liking it allot more now that you're here...I brought you these." He said, levitating the flowers towards her, still smiling. "Their beauty caught my eye and reminded me of you." He scratched the back of his head.

 

 

 

Star finished brushing her mane and tail then walked downstairs in search for a drink of some sort.

Accent was just getting plain out tired of Beat's multiple shots of trying to win her over... But those were very nice flowers. She took them from him, and placed them on her bed.

 

"Thank you, Beat... They're very lovely.", she said, a bit blandly. Now she caught the tone she had put on, and figured it was a bad idea to say that...

Beat did notice the sound in her voice and his heart sank. On the outside he was flirty and tried to act tough...but if there was a mare he actually liked...well, it was different. "I uh...i'm happy you like them." He said, keeping the smile on his face, not letting the disappointment show.

After finishing off his wings, Max headed towards the bathroom. The bathroom matches everything else in this house: luxurious to the point that it puts Canterlot Castle to shame. Looking at his reflection, he saw his mane was a bit messy. His usual instinct told him to hide it under a hat...but that compliment from Star had really boosted his confidence. He instead took a shower to remove the salty smell. Satisfied, he went out to his balcony, looking over the island. He felt the urge to...he looked around to make sure nopony was around, then did something he seldom does...sing.

"S-sorry about that. I didn't mean to say it like that... I appreciate the thought, Beat.", Accent said, hoping to bring back his spirits up. "Uh... Would you like to come in? Or, would you like to head back downstairs to where everyone else is? I'm fine with either choice."

Star was walked out onto her balcony when she heard a faint singing. She looked around trying to figure out where it was coming from when she looked up...it sounded as if it was coming from the other side of the building. She spread her wings and flew to the top of the roof. Landing just above Max's balcony. She smiled and rested her head in her hooves to listen.

"Well...I don't want to intrude. If you're busy we can just get together later...if you wish." He suggested, shuffling his hooves.

"No, no, you're fine here. I was just unpacking when you came up. You're free to come in if you want.", Accent implied as she stepped out of the way of the door, anticipating that he would come inside.

 

Taps, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! You hate this guy, remember?! Why are you letting him into your room?!

Beat's heart skipped a...heh heh...Beat's heart skipped a beat as he stepped through the door. "Thank you, Accent." He said, smiling at her and looking around at the room. "This is a nice room...mines just down the hall...I didn't want to bother anypony with my music. Do you listen to electric music ?" He asked, curiously. "I would love it if we did a song together...if you're interested." He said.

Max concluded his song, and sat down on the balcony. He sighed of content.

"This is great. A beautiful island, an awesome room, great ponies. Cant wait to explore this place with Star." Max thought aloud, oblivious to the mare above him. He thought back to his trek here, and remembered the experience he had.

"Wonder what that feeling was when that blue alicorn was talking to her. Hmm...it was actually two feelings. A negative one aimed towards the alicorn, and a more positive one towards Star." Max usually talked to himself when he needed to figure something out. Hearing it aloud let him sort through it easier.

"What were those feelings? I never had them before, but something obviously caused it. But what?" He thought for a second. Then realized something.

"Actually the bad one is gone. And the good one gets stronger around Star. What is this? I'm not opposed to it, but I at least wish to understand it." He shrugged, and came to a conclusion.

"I will figure it out later. For now, I think I should see about some food. Maybe I will invite Star." And with that, he trotted back into his room.

"...Depends. You good with drum-and-bass?", she asked plain out. If electronic music was in this, it had to be drum-and-bass. That was Accent's forte. 

 

I don't care if I hate him... I've been wanting to make a drum-and-bass for a LONG TIME... No way this is going to slip through my hooves.

beat grinned. "Drum and Bass is one of my specialties Sweetheart." He said, tapping the floor with his hooves.

Star let out a happy sigh and rested her head on her hooves, admiring the place where Max had just been standing...until she realized that he was probably on his way to her room inviting her to dinner...like he said.
Her eyes widened and she quickly spread her wings, frantically flying back around to her room where she entered and searched for something to do.
She grabbed the first thing she saw and sat down on her bed. It was some book about makeup...but what made things funny was the fact that it was upside down...and Star had no idea because she was too focused on the door, waiting to hear a knock.

Max grabbed his saddlebag, containing enough bits for two dinners, and a few medical potions. He trotted out his door, and was at Star's door the next. The door was open, so he knocked on the frame.

"Mind if I come in?" He asked, peeking into the room. He saw her sitting on her bed, reading a book...upside down?

"Practicing your reverse reading?" Max said with a chuckle.

"I was going to go grab a bite to eat, and was wondering if you would like to come with." Max said, a little nervous. He couldn't overcome his insecurity, at least, not entirely. But she has yet to give ground to these fears, so it was easier. And the warm feeling didn't hurt either.

Lorcan looked at the pony. "Hey im glad you all graced me with your presence." He said.

Lorcan looked around and saw that his guests were beginning to settle in. He went to the very back of his house and pulled out a fire grill and started it up. While the grill was preheating, he went to the kitchen where where he had some imported tofu ready for the grill. He put the tofu on a tray and walked back to the grill.He then put the tray on the grill and poured some sauce over them.The sauce dripped on the fire causing smoke to billow out.

"Oh, are we starting dinner? I can go get the others. Or, at least, Accent. Although, I could just fly a perimeter, and sketchily enter different ponies' bedrooms through their balcony." She chuckled a bit "Nah, I'll just stay here and be normal for once." She added. She had never been one to be normal. She wasn't sure if she defied the odds, or she was just plain crazy. But she definetly wasn't normal.

Star looked at her book and blushed. "Um...heheh...suuuure." She said, scratching the back of her head and putting her book down on her bedside table. She got up and happily trotted over to the door. "Ready when you are." She said, smiling.

"Excellent. Let's go." Max began walking down the hall, but then quickly realized that he didn't know where he was going. In fact, he found himself back at the entrance to his room.

"I think we may be a little lost." He said with a blush. He started down the hall again, trying not to repeat his mistake.

"So, what do you do for a living?" Max attempted small talk to distract from the fact that he was wandering aimlessly hoping to hit the kitchen.

"Well, if that's the case, then you're working with the best drummer in Equestria, and should be very lucky that she's trying to find someone to record with.", Accent joked, letting off a bit of a laugh. She was actually starting to like Beat a bit... She wondered why, but shrugged off the thought and grabbed a pair of drumsticks from her bag.

Scamps shrugged, and decided she probably should bring everypony down. She flew up, and began to fly past the balconies of the rooms. "HEEEEEEYYYYYY!" She screamed as loud as possible. "DINNER IS BEING PREPARED! GEF DOWN TO THE LOBBY AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!" She said, switching directions and passing each balcony multiple times. "Please and thank you," she murmured at the end.

 

She flew back down to Lorcan. "Everypony should be coming soon."

Star followed behind Max...also very lost. "I play music. But I also help out at my friends tea shop. I have a couple of my CD's in the music store but they're not that famous."

"Well...should I bring my Equipment here...or do you want to bring yours to my room ? I'm fine either way." He said, smiling.

"Let's just head to your room. I got all what I need here. As long as you got a 'E-Set' (( My slang for electronic drum set.)), I'm good to go.", Accent replied, twirling a stick in her hoof. Even though she didn't play D-and-B a lot, she caught on quite quickly, and learned more of the basics than most mixers.

Lorcan nodded and laughed a little. "That's quite the way to call people to the dinner table." He said as he finished cooking. 

He then pulled out a picnic table by himself and set some places at the table and put the food out.
