This a conversation for OOC thread. Unfortunately, yes, I'm not always clear with how I say things, so I don't think my question came out right. I understand Rail isn't ok with the rigging the tournament ideas of the committee. My question was:

Why does the committee see Cosmo as a threat?

 

That info did me give some new understanding of the tournament, though. For example I thought Rail was IN CHARGE of the committee (and I know what it's like posting on a phone and not having color or bold text lol). The Juri is Shales' daughter was also interesting, though I knew about Topaz being Rail's little girl. So is Juri a little kid like Topaz? I imagined her as some 23-24 year old, decent looking, secretary mare.

They want the last fight to be between Radio and Standoff simply because of the fans. if you or Swordpoint were to be in the final fight, they believe that the gamblers would bet too favorably on your opponent, and they will lose money. Ratings are also a factor. Big Shot also holds the personal belief that either Cosmo or Swordpoint must be responsible for Penny Pincher's murder.

They can bend the rules, but they can't make up new ones. Topaz would throw a fit if they did that.

As much as it pains me to say this, the RP is going the way of the dodo. Topaz hasn't posted since the 6th of June, and is technically booted from the RP by his own rules. Without HIM, the story can't progress.

lol you guys are taking this way too seriously. I think the whole "48 hour rule" thing was supposed to be for fights only. As for Topaz... I dunno. I messaged him about something I wanted to do between Swordpoint and Rail, and I know he read it, but he never responded.

 

I would say we could have someone take over, but it wouldn't be the same, as everyone's probably developed their own biases by now and could easily manipulate the system. Unfortunately, if Topaz has no interest in continuing... it's pretty much over.

Standoff parried, ducked, and then grabbed Altair out of the air. Making short work of the short swords, (knocked them down hard enough to stick them in the ground), he slid up to Cosmo almost inhumanly quickly. "Call the swords off. If you try to stick me with the other two, I'll know, and if you try to get me with the one I've got or yourself, I'll just disarm you. One hitman to another, mate. Give. Up."

So... You grab one blade mid strike, with apparently one hoof knock two others that are coming at you at the same time on opposite sides hard enough to overwhelm the magic holding the and propel them into the ground, and move behind a trained assassin without him having time to react?

I disagree with this, but I wont say I'm not being biased, I know I'm going to be at least partially. I'd like to know what everyone else thinks before I reply. Or an explanation for how Standoff is able to do that.

Btw, @, I don't think he's using Uranium in the tournament, I think that's another character he's controlling somewhere else in the world.

@@TheBreech, I guess I didn't clear it up. He grabbed the sword by the handle and used it to block the other two and (temporarily) get them stuck in the ground. Not necessarily at the same time. And Standoff is in front of Cosmo. How about we put this whole powerplay contest behin us and proceed as normal?

Standoff is really starting to seem OP to me. Swordpoint is a pegasus capable of magic, and even he isn't this ridiculously overpowered. You're really pulling these weapons out of your ass, and it's starting to get stale. I thought the whole point was to pick your equipment and make it known BEFORE the fights. And now you're just constantly bringing out new stuff.

 

I guess at this point it's too late to really do anything about it, but I think it's somewhat cheap.

I've an idea. Radio controls particles, so the uranium thing was stupid. I would've woken up, read that, been like, "Lol, nope!" And carefully disarmed the uranium for being silly. But, you know, not uranium. However, this is pretty much a peeing contest to see who can pull the most broken moves out of their behinds, so we should set some guidelines on what can and can't be used. Apparently 'no godmodding' is too vague. All though, I try not to talk about these things, because I tend to, you know... god mod from time to time on accident. But then someone gives me a nice little reminder and I say, Oh! You're right! Sorry, I'll change it!

Well... wasn't really expecting that. I guess I won't get to have that battle with Standoff that I wanted.

 

Oh, and for anyone who is wondering why I'm controlling Topaz's characters, it's because Topaz has expressed that he is no longer able to participate in this roleplay, and I asked if anyone would mind me taking control of Topaz, Rail, Big Shot, Juri, etc. There were no complaints, so I'm doing my best to keep to Topaz's intended path for the endgame. No unfair interference in the matches, just the things he told me that he had planned.

No one said they don't want you here. Just that your character is OP, because you keep using these random new weapons that you didn't have before. If you'd stick to the same equipment, I wouldn't have a problem. That was really my only issue.

Nobody meant any hostility by it, Confogl, but powerplaying really tears down a fun RP. Nobody wants to fight somebody unpredictable and overpowered. If you don't play fair, it's expected that you will recieve flak. Instead of taking it as an attack, take it as criticism. It will always happen if you let it, so fix it.

Just a heads up: I'm going on a vacation for 8 days starting tomorrow. I'll be in Alabama, and there's a chance I may not even have reception with my phone to be on here. I'd like to avoid being booted if possible, although I'm aware that having to postpone the RP for a week just for me is unfair to everyone else. Your bodies can't handle extended exposure to it. If you tire yourself out, it's game over for you. But you will gain complete and total power over all of time and space. Weigh your options.

So here's some advice: Rail absorbed a LOT of power. He can kill you easily, and there's not much you can do to him. That's why you guys shouldn't have entered the portal. Your only hope is to make a sacrifice. One of you will have to re enter the nexus and let it consume you so you can gain the power to change the world. Unfortunately, the one thing you can't do is revive yourself. Of course, you could try to fight, but rail will probably just kill you.
