Catherine blushed and smiled at him. "I'm sure you wouldn't want to find out, mon amour." She kissed him back and put his hand up to her face, then broke the kiss and looked into his eyes. She then put his hand back down, moved the armrest, and laid her head in his lap

Jack felt Catherine's head in his lap as she lay down. He brushed his fingers through her hair once again. He loved how smooth and silky her hair was. He sat there for a good half and hour as she napped in his lap, just taking everything in. Jack did want to get up and get an ETA from Tyler to Manheim, but he didn't feel like disturbing her peace. He decided against it, and just sat there with Catherine in his lap.

"I know, I worry too much," Rarity replied to Twilight. "And I suppose I do sometimes go overboard with the drama... but every time I do, it's in a good cause!"

 

Rarity had a tendency to be a bit of a drama queen and overreact over anything from a lost mane brush to not being able to find a specific roll of ribbon she needed to finish a dress. This was something her friends would definitely be familiar with. XD

Rainbow changed into the new outfit--felt a little tight, but not too bad. Her arms and legs already weren't as flexible as she would have liked them to be, and these T-shirts didn't do much of anything to reduce that further. Alright.

"Well..." she said over the changing room door, "She was Cloudkicker, old, uh, flight camp buddy, and the reason she wore pants..." Rainbow chuckled. "Well, I never actually SAW her wear pants, but she talked about wearing pants, because, uh..." She felt herself turning red and made sure to close the button at her waistline. "Great, now you're making me feel pervy in this. Good job." she stepped out anyway. "Oh, wait, I heard Bon-bon complaining about Lyra wearing pants that one time...Lyra was a...different pony, though, you know? Godessess only know what she was up to."

Fluttershy swept through Aly's room, trying hard not to look too closely at anything, and found the bandages in a small cupbaord there

Returning to the bathroom, she hopped into the tub, getting her bare feet wet, and slid Alex's soaked shirt off so she could get a look at the burn. "Ah-ah, don't get up, "she cautioned. "You've got to run cool water over it for at least 5 minutes, maybe 10, and I don't know any other way to reach this spot, so get comfortable where you are."

She began taking a look at the bandages, trying to figure out how she'd bind him up once she could pat him dry--there looked to be enough here that she could make a decent job of it. "Now, now," she soothed, a drive to comfort taking over, "It doesn't look that bad. You're going to be fine."

Several hours later, Catherine woke up again and noticed it was getting darker outside. She turned her head to look up at Jack. "Bonne après-midi. How long do we have left until we get there? It couldn't be too much longer, could it? I must have been asleep for hours."

(OOC: there is a 3 hour timezone difference between Manheim and San Diego. We departed at 12PM, and have been flying for roughly 4 hours so far, it is currently 4PM PST and 7PM EST due to the 3 hour difference.)

 

 

"We're in eastern time right now," Jack said to Catherine, "It's about 4PM in San Diego, and 7PM in eastern time. We're almost there. Looks like we might get to see two sunsets tonight."

Taking a good look at Rainbow Dash, she smiled. She was worried her hair might clash with the outfit, but everything went well together. "Those look good on ya! Why would you say you feel like a perv in that??"

 

Colette found herself ever more curious about Rainbow Dash's world, despite the lack of some good ol' pants. Taking another look around to see if everyone else was still busy with their shopping, she asked "Why'd Cloudkicker talk about wearing pants? Was it because she 'wore the pants of the family?' And who's Lyra?"

We humans don't have wings to fly like your Pegasi do, so instead we invented planes. They're what allow us to fly, and can get us places much faster than anything else. I'm honestly not sure how to explain it in further detail."

Okay, maybe a good time to change the subject. Rainbow didn't want to scar Colette or anything; with a few exceptions, these humans seemed kinda' sweet and innocent. When it came to certain things, anyway. "So um, Lyra," she pounced. "I actually didn't know her that well. She roomed with Bon-bon in a candy store, and...her cutie mark was a harp, I think, or something like that. So I think she played music. But I don't remember ever listening to her. Hmm."
Well, she was adequately failing to make this new topic interesting. It wasn't her fault if she didn't know everypony in Ponyville! "Actually, she might have played for the Winter Wrap Up. I can't be sure though, I was too busy singin' at the time. You know."

Liam shrugged. "Well... not everybody, I suppose, but pretty much all adults do. At least, in most countries. In poorer or less advanced countries, that isn't the case. But generally it's safe to assume pretty much everyone has a car, or at least has access to one. Although I actually don't myself. When you live in a big city like this, parking is expensive and it's easier just to walk or use public transportation because of traffic."

Rainbow struck a pose, then stopped--she looked really stupid..."Uh, hold on a sec..." she couldn't figure out what to do with these forelegs. They just sorta' hung there, that didn't look cool. 

"Anyhow, no way am I just gonna' start singing. It's not like I have a singing voice or anything. Ewgh, no. It was just a musical, you know?" Rainbow found a poster hanging on the wall of a human mare in clothes something like what she was wearing right now. The girl was using her fingers to make some sort of weird symbol that looked like goat horns and sticking there tongue out. It looked to be about 70% of cool, so Rainbow decided that would do the trick for now and copied the pose. "Here you go."

Arcane nodded, but it was obvious he was uncomfortable. "It's just... uh... i've never been inside an 'elevator' so i'm not used to the movement of it. I'll be fine though" he said with a forced smile. He wondered if he could remove this sickness with his magic, but it seemed he didn't have a horn to channel it through. The appendages on the two limbs attached to his upper body slightly resembled a horn. If they could channel magic, then it would be like having 10 horns. Imagine all the magic he could perform!... But he doubted they could. These things were soft and squishy, unlike a horn. He was relieved when the elevator stopped.

Alex assumed chaos and a lot of yelling from Magneus, and reasoning and kindness from Aly, but that might not have been the case. "Okay, so what happened?"

"Yeah, I've driven a car before. It's not really that hard once you get the hang of it, but it can be pretty scary at first. If you mess up, it can be really dangerous, so you always have to be careful. But like I said, once you get the hang of it, it's not really hard. You just have to be paying attention all the time."

Jack whipped out his phone and messaged Logan.

"We're almost ready to land at the airport," Jack said in the message, "You guys at the airport yet?"

"What did you need to do that for? You're beautiful even if your hair is a bit of a mess," Jack asked her jokingly, poking her ribs gently.

Rainbow Dash and her coolness. Colette smirked a little as she took the the Pony's picture as she struck the same pose as the girl in the poster on the wall. What the hell?? "Hey, Rainb--ah--Rachel? Mind if I take another shot?? There's something weird goin' on with your pic..." Colette said as she turned to show Rainbow.

 

What Colette was referring to were two ghostly appendages protruding from Rainbow Dash's back… They were pale cyan in color, and looked to be-- "Wait… Wait a minute!" Colette said excitedly, turning the phone again, tapping away at the screen a bit before turning it again so the screen showed Twilight Sparkle. From her back, two ghostly lavender wings appeared; from her forehead protruded a ghostly horn.

 

"Holy crap, Angie was right! Go get changed so I can pay for your clothes. We can take a break after that whilst I email Angie back!"

 

As Rainbow Dash changed back into her clothes, Colette studied Twilight Sparkle's picture again. "Hey, Ranibow… How come Twilight has both wings and a horn, and you only have wings??"

"Sounds decent enough," Logan glances at the group once more. 3 adult human beings, 2 adult humanized ponies and a large dog, "We may end up having to get separate vehicles. Might be able to cover more ground to, if it comes to that," he shrugs, "Doubt it will, but you never know."

 

 

"I'm sure they're at the airport by now," Jack said to Catherine, "If not, I'll message them right now."

Jack whipped out his phone and messaged Logan.

"We're almost ready to land at the airport," Jack said in the message, "You guys at the airport yet?

 

"Not quite yet. We're getting ready to, but a guy from the NSA showed up. Turns out he's got another one of our wayward ponies... I think I mentioned that already.

 

Anyway, yeah, I'll pass the message along, and we should hopefully be at the airport in little under half an hour, if we take advantage of having two government employed vehicles... Oh, also I'm sending you Logan's number, so you can contact us when we're away from the computer.

Angie launched the email back, before shouting to the group, "Hey guys! We should head out! Preybird's nearly here. Don't want to keep the guy waiting, you know?"

 

She shut the laptop down and handed it off to Logan. He tucked it under one arm and made for the stairs to gather together cash and pack the computer into a travel case, among other things he deemed necesarry, such as spare rounds. Logan returned down the stairs and gestured towards the door, "Ready whenever you guys are. I'll be out in my car. Angie, you can lock up?"

 

"Sure thing." She responded, getting up and catching the key he tossed her.

 

Logan gave a quiet whistle as he exited the house, causing Ulysses to chase after him, dodging around the humans standing nearer to door as he went out.

"I'm assuming I'm the one you're referring to?" Jack responded, laughing. "But otherwise, yeah, that's understandable. You wouldn't want to appear as messy when you meet someone for the first time. "Well that is good. I can't wait to meet them. Also, no, I wasn't specifically referring to you. We may be together, but you're not the only one I would go out with. I hope you know this now, before you get hurt by anything that I would do, like go out with another girl or guy." Catherine put her hand on his shoulder and sat a bit closer to him. "I don't mean I would break up with you. I would just be going out with two people at once. Are you okay with this?"
