Apollo flew around his farmstead making sure everything was in order. He made a checklist and went over it. 

"Bed's.Check. enough food for 12 guests for one month. Check." He said. By the time he had finished, it was time for the guests to start arriving. Apollo wasn't really looking forward to entertaining guest..especially civilians., but he was being forced to by his superiors. As he awaited he saw a figure in the distance. It was coming at him quite fast. The figure then landed in front of him.

"Hello, you must be here on request from the letter." Apollo said

Mordecai looked over the tall Alicorn. He appeared very strong and gave off an intimidating feeling. 

"Aye. My name is Mordecai." He said. That was all he said as he saluted the host and moved past him. He put his things down and laid next to them.

Dusty Hoofprint had been walking for quite some time now. While he was making his way to the farm, which should be located somewhere here, he read the letter he had recieved another time.

 

"A Farm, huh? Finding your special somepony?...Interesting" he said while a light grin formed on his face.

 

He saw 2 stallions, an alicorn and a pegasus standing and conversing with each other. The Pegasus must have just arrived as well. Shortly thereafter, the pegasus went on and laid his luggage down on the floor.

They were standing in front of a big farm house.

 

Dusty decided to approach them.

Flame and Fire had been flying for some time now. Fire was getting impatient and Flame was getting annoyed. "You said we'd be there half an hour ago, Flame." "I know what I said. Now would you please stop complaining." He called, looking back passed the trail of flames he was leaving behind, trying to look at his sister who was also leaving a long line of fire.


Eventually Flame pointed down at the ground. "We're here." "YES FINALLY." Fire cheered, doing a couple loops as Flame flew down towards the ground. He landed just a few feet away from the front door as Fire landed next to him...well...crashed next to him. She quickly stood up and brushed herself off. "You didn't see that." She said. Flame rolled his eyes as the two of them began walking towards the house.

A unicorn mare trotted along the long dirt road that led to a place she had only been told about. Her coat would have shown brilliantly in the sun, surely, if it were not so matted with dirt. In fact, should somepony look at her in this state, they would not guess that her coat, when clean, was actually a beautifully soft gold, and her mane full, the lush color of a forest with a single decorative lime stripe. As it was, in its dirt-coated state, her coat was more the color of an apple core, and her mane a mossy color. If one looked closely enough, they might decide that her face was pretty under the layer of soil it used instead of makeup.

 

Behind her ear sparkled a rose like no other that stood out in stark contrast to the rest of her appearance. It sparkled and glimmered in the light of the sun, as it was no ordinary rose. It was a Star Rose out of the Crystal Empire's finest gardens, and one so carefully groomed and taken care of that it seemed to bathe the mare in a soft, reddish glow, that highlighted her eyes. Upon close glance, one might guess that it was simply a rose carved from ruby, not an actual, living, breathing flower. But Evergreen knew better. She had picked it herself, after all.

 

Dangling around her neck was an ordinary satchel one might buy at any respectable store through Equestria, one with a stylized leaf as a button. Evergreen was always careful to safeguard her satchel, however plain it looked. It contained a wide variety of herbs. Some, safe and even beneficial, but some had effects so bizarre Evergreen could barely comprehend them. She only had them with her at the moment because she didn't trust the neighbors.

 

A barn rose up over the horizon, and Evergreen began to move more quickly towards it. And within several minutes, she had reached the place. There were already a few pegasi and an alicorn there, but this was hardly the entire party. Evergreen thanked her lucky stars she wasn't late, and trotted towards the group, but not too close, eyeing them all most attentively.

Neon Fire flew for a long time.  She was starting to get tired and wondered when she would arrive.  She saw ahead, the place she would be arriving to.

 

"Finally!" She said to herself.

 

She sped up her pace as she dashed over and landed onto the ground and started to walk over.  There were already quite a few ponies already there.  She hesitated, unsure what to do, being the shy Pegasus she was.  She stood there, took in a deep breath, and walked over.

Night Song constantly switched between walking and flying on her way to the farm. Her wings and hooves tired easily, but she was determined to get to the party. She was about to give up and collapse, but then she saw the building in the distance. "It looks like I'm getting close. Can't give up now..."

 

After about fifteen minutes, she got to the entrance. She was ecstatic to see lots of ponies there and began to look around.

Crystal received an invite for a vacation at a farmstead somewhere far out. She debated going for a solid 4 seconds before she realized the possible natural beauty in such a place. With great excitement, she grabbed her sketchbook and pencil, said goodbye to Nexus, and began teleporting in leaps to her destination. The unicorn mare was not adapt in magic by any means, but she learned to teleport so she could get different angles of a shot at a rapid pace. After what seemed like an eternity of teleports and some mild fatigue, She appeared on the home front in a flash of red aura. She stood there for a minute to recover, green mane covering her eyes. It appears that others have arrived as well. Crystal, not being one to approach strange new ponies, began to examine the farm for any good spots to draw.

Dusty saw a few ponies slowly arriving, some on foot, some from the air, one mare even seemingly coming out of nowhere. It probably was a Teleportation spell, he had seen Unicorns using it before on his travels. After a while, a very lively combinations of pegasi and unicorns were standing near the farm house.

 

Being always interested and excited to meet new ponies, he decided to speak to them, since it probably may take a short while until all will be checked in.

 

 

"Hey, there everypony", he said. "Looks like our Host is checking in the guests."

Neon Fire looked around. She just nodded and looked around some more. She wanted to ask where the host was, but on the other hand (or hoof), wanted to sit and wait. She would wait for someone else to walk over to the host first so she didn't have to bother anyone. She just sat down and waited beside the other ponies.

Rambler trotted down the road at his usual leisurely pace, focusing more on enjoying the journey than on reaching the destination quickly. It had been quite a long walk, but for Rambler that was nothing unusual. A life like his necessitated a lot of walking; often with no particular destination in mind. This time however, he did have a specific place he was headed to. He had been invited to stay somewhere he had never been before, and that was all the reason he needed to accept the invitation and head out there. Finally Rambler made it to the farmhouse and approached the others who had arrived before him, nodding his head in greeting.

Apollo looked out at the group. He noticed a few peculiar ponies but didn't pay too much attention to them.

"Hello, I am General Apollo.Welcome to my Farmstead. I know you are all wondering why you received those letters. I will tell you when the time is right. In the meantime, why don't you all tell me about yourselves." Apollo said with an expressionless face. He would normally smile, but they were strangers to him and he wasn't comfortable smiling at them.

"My name is Mordecai. I really don't know what to say." Mordecai thought for a while.He never knew how to answer that question.

(This is a brand new OC. First RP I have her in. So if her character development seems rough, it is because I am still experimenting with her and figuring her character out. This RP is like a learning experience for her.)

 

Crystal wasn't shy in the traditional sense. While she would never approach anypony on her own accord, she would speak when addressed. So she took a step forward and spoke up.

"Um, hi. My name is Crystal. I like drawing. Mostly nature and things like that." She wasn't the best at social situations, but at least she was trying. Her parents-when they were around-told her she was too isolated, and should try and make some friends. This vacation was her first step towards that goal.

"I'm um, 18, and I live in Canterlot with my parents. Um, I don't know I can really say about myself." Crystal trailed off, and was shuffling her hooves. Her eyes were glued to the ground by this point.

Apollo looked at the green maned unicorn. He wanted to yell at the mare for being shy,not to be mean, but to help her come out of her shell she seemed to have.

"That was good,but you don't have to be so shy. Im sure we're all friendly here." Apollo said with a smile on his face.

Fire stepped up and instantly a worried expression passed across Flame's face. *What's she doing ?* He thought, as Fire began the introduction. "Sup everypony. I'm Fire Sky and that boring hunk of stallion is my older brother Flame Dancer. *Flame facehoofs* We're both performer's in the circus...little strange but there ya have it. Can't wait to get to know you all." She smiled warmly at the group as she stepped back to Flame Dancer, nudging him with her elbow. He rolled his eyes. Fire was always trying to get him to find a marefriend and it was beginning to get on his nerves. *Hunk of a stallion ? Fire you're my sister...sheesh.* He thought, glaring at his sister who stuck her tongue out at him.

Night Song was slightly shocked at his appearance, but she nevertheless decided to go next after Fire Sky. She crossed her front hooves a bit shyly and said,"I'm Night Song, a 20 year-old from Ponyville. I like singing and archery and... stuff." She didn't want to let on about much for some reason unknown, but she ended it with a smile. : D

Dusty looked at the rather big Alicorn, he seemed intimidating, but somehow not unfriendly.

 

He decided to introduce himself the next.

 

"Hey, everypony. The Name's Dusty Hoofprint. I've been originally born in Baltimare, but I left a few years ago and have since been traveling across many places in Equestria, i like to travel."

 

He hought for a second, "I am pretty good at fixing and building; have been an engineer for some time."

Neon Fire stood there nervously, she knew she would have to introduce herself at some point.  What's the worst that could happen? She had to keep thinking it over and over to give herself some confidence to walk up and introduce herself.  She took in a deep breath, thinking of what she'd say and taking a few steps forward.

 

"I'm Neon Fire..." She said in a quiet voice. "I uh..."

 

She looked around nervously at the other ponies as she spoke.

 

"I...  Like writing, drawing, flying around Equestria and uh... playing video games."

 

She nervously lowered her head and backed up into the crowd, slowly.

Apollo nodded his head.

yep, we definitely have some characters here today. He thought as started to speak.

"So we have Fire, and Flame...Night Song, Dusty, and Neon Fire. We are still waiting for ponies to show up, so why don't we share what our favorite food is." He said trying to sound enthusiastic. Apollo was trying to give off a warm feeling but was having trouble. He couldn't help but to break down some of the guests in his mind.

Shy...shy..optimistic coupled with..He stopped his thought process as he realized he was making a weird face.

The dirty yellow mare trotted forward the group, and gazed at the one she assumed was host. Her eyes flicked back and forth at the other ponies there nervously, but then they locked back upon the leader.

 

"I'm Evergreen." Her voice, lined with a faint Manehattanite dialect that had obviously lay dormant for years, was sweet and soft on the surface, but those who listened carefully heard a steely, strong chord underlying. "I'm a botanist. I own a large garden not far from here. I tend to and study the properties of all kinda of exotic plants and flowers there."

Rambler shrugged and stepped forward. "I'm Rambler. I come from Stallionshire, but I don't really have a home to speak of. I just go wherever the road takes me and see what happens. I enjoy all kinds of things, but mostly traveling, music, and a good whiskey."

With a sudden flash of light, a clay-colored unicorn had appeared a good number of yards away from said farm. Her mane, orange as, well, an orange, seemed to shine out against the sunlight, blocking a bit of the line of her bluish-lavender eyes. She seemed to have brown saddlebags with her, one on each side. They both contained some personal things of hers, including a set of her carving knifes.

 

"I just hope nobody is angry that I'm late...", Rockshire said, as she began to trot off towards the barn.

Crystal sat on her haunches silently as the others introduced themselves. Quite an interesting assortment of ponies. She looked around for some sort of area that she could draw or draw at. She got to her hooves, and spoke up again.

"Um, excuse me sir, but do you know of any notable landmarks around here? I um, I like to draw those kind of things." She asked sheepishly, lime green mane covering her eyes.

Dusty thought about the Introduction and Question Mr. Apollo had just made. "General? So is he a Royal Guard...? he thought.

 

On his many journeys, he had also encountered a lot of Canterlot military, most of them with seemingly unshakeable fierce and serious expressions on their faces.  "He sure looks like he could be one."

 

His thoughts switched to his Question. "Food? Let's see..."  In his mind, his all-time favorite his mother used to cook for him sometimes popped up.

 

Dusty began speaking "Well, I sure like apple-cherry dumplings. but i am not too picky overall."

Fire was about to speak but Flame beat her too it. "Fire and I stay on a strict diet of raw veggies. No hay fries or anything cooked like that. I personally like a green salad." He said, smiling at the group. Fire sighed. "Yup...although the few times I have had an apple tart where quite amazing...very tasty." She added.

"Welcome to my farm, Evergreen." Apollo said  as he looked over the pony with the green mane. As he did he squinted his eyes and frowned a little.

"Own a garden eh? Interesting." He said as he turned his attention to another guest.

Apollo let out a short snort as the pony with the red mane finished his sentence.

"Welcome to my farm...it must be nice to live without the responsibility of a home." He said as he spotted another pony trotting their way.

"Looks like we have another guest here. What might be your name?" Apollo asked. He then heard a soft voice speak to him.

"Oh, Crystal right?" Apollo asked. He wanted to revert to his strict way of speaking but he knew that might upset some guests as well as make them hate him. So he took a breath and cracked the joints in his neck.

"Yes, to the left we have the view of the grass filled plain. Behind me, is a view of Macintosh Hills. To the right is a view of the ocean,which is kind of hard to see at this level. Lastly if you take a look behind you, you will see the dragon lands in the distance." Apollo said pointing to each side respectively as he described them.

Apollo smiled when Dusty mentioned the food. 

"Oh, that brings me back to my early days in the guard." Apollo went into a flashback and stood there awhile with a dumb smile on his face.
