Night Song had a soft spot for all kinds of music. This was no exception except she had never seen any pony use a guitar masterfully before. She clapped and complimented Rambler by saying,"Wow, you're pretty good with a guitar! My father's the same way, even though he always denies it!" She ended that one with a yawn, realizing how tired she was getting. "We should probably go in now."

At this point, the two were touching hooves. It was unusual for her to be so close to another pony, but she didn't shy away. She actually enjoyed the physical contact. She turned to face him, lifting both of their hooves up together, so that they were up to chest level. She opened her mouth several times in attempted speech, but nothing came out. She had nothing she could add. She debated what to do next. Does she make a move? Does he? What move is she referring to? A hug? A...kiss? So many questions swam through her head as her heart rate picked up tremendously.

 

Dusty felt the warmth of her hooves as they both were touching. "So soft and warm..." he thought. Then Crystal turned to him and held both his hooves and lifted them up the their chests. Dusty was entirely mesmerized by her beauty.

 

He wanted to say something, but he couldn't think of words. Instead he closed his eyes and moved his head closer in towards hers. His heart was almost beating out of his chest.

Crystal saw that he was moving in. She has never...kissed anypony before. She questioned if she would be any good, or if he would be upset if she was bad at it. She moved in, pressing their muzzles together in a warm kiss. All thoughts of negativity or self doubt were washed away, and she simply allowed herself to enjoy the moment. She felt warmth all across her bod, and it concentrated in her chest. She was in bliss at the moment that she didn't know would occur until 10 seconds ago.

Fire...usually would have found this boring, but coming from this mare...she found herself very very interested. "That's...actually really really cool. It kinda makes me want to start gardening." She giggled. "But I would need it to be portable...maybe I could put one on top of my trailer."

Eve raised an eyebrow. "It's not really for everyone, but if you want to give it a shot... I probably could help you build one on top of your trailer." Her eyes told the mare that she was being dead serious, despite her tone, which was wavering somewhere between disbelieving and teasing.

Rambler smiled. "Well, any musical ability I have, I owe to my father and grandfather, who taught me how to play." Rambler then heard her yawn and realized it was just about time to go to bed. "Oh, yeah. I guess it's getting pretty late, isn't it? Well, I guess I'll see you tomorrow then. Good night, sweet dreams and all that."

 

He turned and headed into one of the vacant rooms.

Flame nodded. "My sister and I are part of Cirque De l'Amour. We're just taking a small break to come on stay here on the farm." He said.

 

 

Eve raised an eyebrow. "It's not really for everyone, but if you want to give it a shot... I probably could help you build one on top of your trailer." Her eyes told the mare that she was being dead serious, despite her tone, which was wavering somewhere between disbelieving and teasing.

 

Fire raised an eyebrow. "Is...that actually possible ? If it could happen...yea, totally. I have always wanted to start a garden and grow some herbs or tomatoes or something." She smiled. "Actually...a week after this trip ends, the cirque is gonna be in Ponyville...so we should meet up."

"See you tomorrow!" Night Song called back as she went to an empty room. On her way, she hummed a

nonchalantly. It was an old song with nothing but eight melodies and a deep description of life in the silent background. She hummed it while taking her ribbon out of her mane and combing it.

"That's cool," Neon Fire said, looking around.  "Well, hey, I better get going.  I guess I'll talk to you later."

 

She started walking away, feeling shy again.  She looked around at the other ponies, then went into her room.  She looked up at the clock to see the time, something she did often.

Rockshire turned around again, seeing Apollo had came back up to talk with her again... Why was he always wanting to talk with her so much?

 

"Oh, hello again, Apollo... Yes, I've been quite pleased with this establishment... It's so simple, yet holds the same amount of authority that Canterlot would hold."

Apollo looked around and saw no other guests emerging from the structure. He shook his head annoyingly and turned his attention back to the mare.

"You damn right it does..I mean yes...i was going for that. Listen, I am going to do some more chores.If you need anything, food,water, etcetera,you'll find me behind my house." He said as he pointed to the back of his house. He then saluted her with an emotionless face and trotted away. As he did he paused and threw his wings up in frustration.

"GAH!" He yelled as he continued to trot to his house more rapidly.

"Don't worry so much about me, Apollo... I am positive that I won't be in need of anything.", Rockshire replied, watching Apollo bring out his military side of himself as he trotted away. She couldn't help but break into a small giggle.

 

The poor stallion... He's been so hard-headed with his time as a guard that he can't keep his normal side down... Thank you, eye for detail.

 

She continued to walk around the farmstead, looking about.

Dusty had his eyes closed, as their lips connected. He...had never felt anything as beautiful like this before...Her lips were warm and soft. Their kiss was passionate and it felt amazing.

 

He wouldn't have been able to tell whether he was dreaming or not, if he wouldn't have felt this unbelieveble and powerful moment. Dusty had never felt more happy and full of joy than right at this moment.

 

"A...amazing...." he thought. From that moment on he knew he not only simply liked her...she was the one he would happily give his heart to. Right now, Dusty felt like he was the most fortunate colt in all of Equestria.

After what felt like eons, Crystal broke the kiss, and began to hug him tightly. She had no idea how this happened, or how it happened so fast, but she didn't care. She felt like she had just been filled to the brim with sunshine. It was the most incredible experience of her life. She whispered softly into his ear, not willing to break the hug.

"So...what happens now?"

"And, about Ponyville..." She paused, looking awkward, "I don't really like to go into town very often if I can help it.

Dusty and Crystal had been locked in a kiss for some time and when their passionate kiss finally broke, Crystal hugged Dusty tightly.

 

He was surprised and felt incredibly exalted. Wanting to share the warmth with her, he put his hooves around her as well. Crystal then whispered something into his ear; he blushed even deeper. "I...I lo.." he tried to say something.

 

"Come on, Dusty! Say it. You do love her, so you can say it." his brain told him.

 

"I-i love you...Crystal."

 

After he had spoken this words, he felt like he had just broken chains, which were locking him in place.

Crystal perked her ears up as he began to say something. When she thought he backed down, she started to pull back. Until he said three words that were rarely ever directed at her. Sure, her parents said it every now and again. Hay, even Nexus said it once. But he meant it in more of a father-daughter way. Crystal realized that he had fallen in love with her. She remember being told stories of love at first sight, but dismissed it as fantasy. Clearly the hearts of ponies were more complex than she thought. And it wasn't like she didn't feel the same way.

"I.......I love you too Dusty." She said. When those words left her mouth, the full realization hit her. She was in love. With the nicest, strongest and most intuitive colt in Equestria. Some say that love at first sight is a sign of desperation. Others, a show of two halves, two pieces of the same soul trying to become one. Only time will tell the fate of these two. For now, the unicorn mare pulled her head back and kissed Dusty again passionately.

*I'll worry about who I want when I want..damn I can't be mean* he thought as he approached the back of his house.

 

Apollo set down the buckets of nails and began repair on his house. With every passing minute he became short patient and eventually began yelling at his work

"COME ON! Get in the damned hole you piece of junk!" Apollo tried to keep quite but his frustration was getting the better of him.

"...as well as the possibility of finding a special somepony..." Dusty had read this part of the letter, that he had received by a mailpony multiple times. "A...special somepony...?" Dusty had thought. "...I...hope i'll find my special pony someday..., though that will probably take some time, huh?"

 

He decided to go. "Well, i have nothing to lose. I have never been to Mustangia anyway and i might find new friends, so i might as well go." he had said to himself while smiling.

(Flashback end)

 

But he had found her....his special somepony. There she was in front of him...hugging him...gracing him with her warmth and emotions.

 

He had confessed to her and his heart was racing, and then she replied.

 

"I.......I love you too Dusty." These words repeated in his mind. "She loves me too..." his mind now only filled with thoughts of Crystal. His life had finally found a new meaning other than seeing and traveling all of Equestria...he knew he wanted to be with her....be there for her and make her happy.

 

Dusty's lips also searched for hers, when she was about to kiss him with all the passion they could both offer.

She thought about he told her, and thought about how he traveled around Equestria. The thought excited her, surprising even herself. To see all the wonder that Equestria had to offer...Her lungs began to cry for air, and she broke the kiss, resting her head against his, breathing heavily. Today has quickly become the best day of her life. She couldn't wait to tell the others. And to smash Max's record for "fastest forming relationship"

He then proceeded to gently stroke through her beautiful green mane. "I will forever love you, Crystal. You are the happiness i longed for since when I first set a hoof out on a journey." he said gently, infinitely glad. He kissed her on her forehead, next to her cute horn.

Dusty held on to her dearly like he never wanted to let her go. If this really would have been a dream, he wouldn't have wanted to wake up from it.

Overwhelmed by his newfound feelings for this wonderful mare, he began to sing a song for her. He sang it with all his heart.

Crystal thought that this moment couldn't get any better. She thought it achieved the apex of perfection. But then she was being serenaded. And now she felt herself melting in Dusty's embrace. She nipped her arm a bit, testing to see if this was a really good dream. She wasn't. And she was happy about that...That might be an understatement.
