Hi everypony

 

I'm actually working on a game engine, clone of an old neo geo game. This game engine by itself isn't related to MLP, but it works with a mod system. And the very first mod I'm developing with my engine is based on the MLP universe.

 

You can get an idea of what it is by looking at this game design document.

 

The whole point of this topic is that I'm looking for help for artwork. I'm a developer and I don't know how to draw nor to compose music. And even though I could rearrange some drawings to create the resources for my game, it's always from existing artwork, either from the original show or from pics found on the net. It was enough for testing purpose during the development, but it can't be distributed like that, especially because of credits, CC licenses and authorizations of all the stuff I downloaded.

And since the features are almost all implemented, it was time to clean up the mod and to do the artwork properly.

 

This is why I look for help for the following tasks:

• graphics
  • animated sprites
  • backgrounds
  • faces for cinematic (like in old rpg games or like in Ace Attorney)
  • misc stuff, user interface, menu, movies, etc.
• audio
  • sound effects
  • music
  • voices ...if any
• script
  • overall scenario (not too complicated)
  • dialog
• programming
  • advanced artificial intelligence
  • networking
  • tools for level design
  • better special effects

An alpha demo is available with almost all the features, but with the testing resources. Yet it gives an idea what it does.

Btw, since it's an engine that works with mod, and since the project is free and open sourced (GPL3), you're free to make you own mod if you like (still better to wait the final release).
