Soman looked around at the other ponies. None ofcthem seemed to be talking to him. First positive of the day right there. He also noticed he was the only griffin there aswell. First negative of the day. He sighed and continued to sit there, not really willing to co-operate.

Rudolf looked up at the hazy window on the door and read the label. 

 

"Well better late than never," he chuckled.

 

With an unintended loud creak, the door swung open, revealing a classroom full of other ponies. They were all minding their own business, that is, until about 5 seconds ago. Now all eyes were on him, and he had no idea what to do.

 

"Guten Morgen, meine Freunden. Ich heisse Rudolf Jäger; Nett Sie Kennenzulernen!" He said with a smile and a cute, quirky accent.

 

The ponies looked in confusion, and he laughed.

 

"I was simply joking around, don't worry" he smiled, "My name is Rudolf Jäger and it is a pleasure to meet all of you."

 

He casually sat down at the nearest desk by the door and began to unpack his stuff. When he glanced up mares were all around him. He was startled and almost fell back.

 

"Ooops," said one mare, "Did we scare you?"

 

"Don't worry about it, I'm fine. Besides it's nice to meet new friends" Rudolf flashed a bright smile and adjusted his hat. The mares giggled and watched Rudolf pick up his stuff.

 

"This is very odd," he thought. "I'm not used to getting this much attention, let alone from mares... I wouldn't want the others to get any bad ideas about me..."

Corona walked back to her desk making the effort to the grumpy looking pony. She looked back at Sterling with a smile "Sorry I just didn't want him to feel alone. It's kinda one of my things." Corona let out a light chuckle. "I hope you don't mind but I told him he could sit near us...if...um you're...well...ok with that." Corona stuttered at the end as she fiddled with her blue tail. She didn't know why she was acting like this around a pony she'd just met. The mood was suddenly cut short when the teacher walked into the room. She was a light pink mare with a red mane and tail. Her cutie mark was that of a calculator and numbers coming off of it. Her name was Mrs. Trotsworth and from the whispers in the halls she was one of the toughest teachers in school.

 

(OOC: Darkest Day Dreams will be doing most of the voicing for the teacher and please feel free to change the name if you want I was very lazy in picking out the name lol.)

(OOC: I just realized on my introductory post that I said Hoofstomp High was in Manehattan. I read Corona's biography and found out it was in Baltimare. Just imagine that Sterling moved from Manehattan because his parents needed to. Sorry for the faux pas.)

 

 

While Sterling was busy reading his math textbook for any signs of difficult material, he heard Corona try to catch his attention. Sterling was slightly surprised at her friendly gesture. 'Hmm that's interesting... Normally I don't get this much attention when I approach a mare. Must be something different about this one. Maybe she really is friendly. Well I hope so...' thought Sterling as he heard her speak. Sterling was intrigued that Corona didn't keep on chatting with the maroon pony. After all, he did look like the more lonely one in the class. Nonetheless, Sterling was pleasantly happy with Corona, and he replied amiably, "Oh not at all! I think Maroon needs a friend too. He does look lonely..."

 

Just then, a pink mare with what looked like a calculator cutie mark entered the room. She looked really strict, nothing like the friendly Pinkie Pie he heard of from many of his middle-school friends back in Manehattan and pen-pals from Ponyville. He made sure to be even more aware of his surroundings so that he wouldn't get in trouble, being very particular about paying attention in math class, even if it was material he already learned previously.

"Don't worry about it." Snowdream said to the mare, levitating a few papers to the Pegasus. Once the mess had been cleaned up Snowdream felt obliged to introduce herself to this mare.

 

"My name's Snowdream." She said with a gentle smile, looking at the blue pegasus

Freezing managed to slip all of her papers inside her books, sighing and sitting down in the seat next to Snowdream, still looking a bit nervous from entering the school.

 

"My name is Freezing Point...", she replied, looking back at the light blue unicorn, slightly smiling as well. "But, you can call me Freeze. Or Point."

"Toughest teacher huh...I dont see it" Flare thought as he looked at the teacher. "Besides its math...my easiest subject I sould have no problem" Flare thought as he raised his head to see the teacher. "She doesn't look mean at all...the again you never judge a book by its cover" Flare thought.

Soman watched the teaher walk in from where he was. She seemed intimidating. Very intimidating. He put his book upright and hid his face behind it so she wouldn't look his way and scare him. He hoped. He peeked over the top so he could look around and stuff.

Maroon almost jumped to the soft pony's voice. His ears quickly flattened, and he snuffled with determination.  Crossing his propped up hind legs, his tipped his chair and looked at the mare softly. ''Alright.'' He said quietly, pushing back down into his chair. He grabbed his saddle bag, leaped off his chair and trotted over to a chair near Corona, sitting down and swinging the heavy bag over the chair. He did the same as he did at his other desk. Tip his chair, lean back, prop his hind legs on the desk platform, and cross his crimson hooves behind his back with relaxation. He felt a bit better, considering someone had walked up to him after he yelled and threatened some other ponies.

Finishing her drawing, Poppy got pretty bored waiting for the teacher. Getting bored, she tilted back on her chair. The front legs of the chair off the ground. Suddenly, she lost her balance and the chair fell back. It let out a gigantic noise. Poppy wouldn't be surprised if she was injured, but she wasn't.

 

"POPPY YOU IDIOT." She yelled outloud, Not knowing she did.

Soman jumped back as the pony in front of him fell backwards, pulling his entire desk with him after holding onto it so tight.

"I-should I-ask her if she is OK? S-she won't be angry. I think." He mummbled as he walked up next to her. "Umm, are y-you OK?" He asked crouching as low as possible.

Star Rain eventually became bored of drawing and began to read a new book called The Pony Games. As she pushed her sketchpad to the side though, it fell down on the floor. As she levitated it up, the teacher glared at her. Oh great, she isn't going to like me because I accidentally dropped my sketchpad? Geez, this is going to be fun... that last part she muttered to herself, a little more loud than she would've liked.

Sterling noticed that his teacher was writing a couple of math problems on the board as a refresher for the new school year. All of them looked very easy for Sterling to solve. One example question was 2x+6=10. He instantly solved it with mental math, and as soon as Corona began to walk to the board, he secretly whispered the answer to Corona, "The answer to one of the math questions is x=2. Good luck Corona." Sterling gave Corona a small smile as she walked up to the chalkboard.

 

Disregard post. I thought Corona was walking up to the board.

"Now you have really done it Poppy." She thought to herself.

 

She used her magic to pick up a piece of chalk. Letting out a shiny, gold, aura, Poppy quietly answered the problems on the bored. She probably only got a few right. Math was her WORST subject. As she walked back to her desk she saw a mare named Corona looking at her. She looked kind of concerned. Poppy shrugged and let out a small smile to show everypony she was okay.

Maroon would only let out a small chuckle at the mare. He was doing what she attempted to do, propping his hind hooves up on the desk and tipping his chair, but it was probably her first time attempting to do it. He crossed his propped hooves, throwing a pencil and catching it. All the sudden, he heard a loud slam against the board, and he immediatly frowned and stood still. Maroon heard the teacher calling Poppy up to answer some questions, and he flung his front hooves into the air, shaking them and letting them flop onto his face. ''She wasn't ''disturbing your class.'' The annoyed stallion mocked under his breath loudly, eyes rolling. Teachers would always annoy him. He was just a plain trouble maker, who didn't nessisarly care about his education.

Alright, I better not screw up here... Star Rain looked at the problems on the board. Some she could very easily or with moderate difficulty, but others were like a foreign language to her. That was how bad she was at math. Right so x=7 for 8x + 1 = 57... and alright x=9 and... oh geez...

Rudolf watched silently as the pinkish-white mare, named Poppy, stepped up to the board and began working out the math problems. She was very timid, he could tell, and seemed a bit embarrassed for the unwanted attention. When she sauntered back to her desk only two seats behind him, he turned around and waved.

 

"Way to go, umm... Poppy, is it? It takes a lot to stand up in front of a crowd like that" Rudolf titled his head and smiled, the words slipping off his toungue in the familiar accent of his. He adjusted his scarf slightly and tilted his hat back behind his ears.

Sterling was watching everything unfold around him. A mare named "Poppy" was told to answer some basic algebra problems on the board. Most of the questions were mere child's play for Sterling. It left him less than impressed that the school year started with such amateur questions. 'Yeesh... can we get to the cake of the course? Even then, it doesn't look very interesting... I can't wait for science and music class today though. Those classes should be fun!' thought Sterling as he began to ponder away and wonder what the other classes were like as Poppy solved the math problems on the board.

Soman watched as the mare he had asked was OK got up and answered the questions without even aknowlaging his prensce. He crawled back into his chair and shuffled back to his desk, almost thankeful the teacher hadn't said anything to him. Now all he had to do was stay hidden from contact.

As I sat back in my desk, a silvery-blue stallion with a top-hat and scarf turned around in his.

 

"Way to go, umm... Poppy, is it? It takes a lot to stand up in front of a crowd like that." He said (in an accent) kindly to Poppy.

"Oh,...umm thanks." I responded. "I just moved schools, and I'm kind of nervous." I said while smiling sheepishly.

Corona watched as Poppy answered the problems and took her seat giving the made a friendly smile in return. The teacher just stared at the answers before letting out an audible sigh and erased the board. "Class turn to page...." Mrs. Trotsworth continued teaching in a very strict manner snapping at anypony that might've gone out of line. The problems soon became a lot harder especially for Corona. Before the class ended so far she was the first teacher to give homework and it was at least 3 pages of problems. Corona was just happy when the bell rang and she was headed off to science.

3 minutes.....2......1........ YES! The bell finally rang for the next period. Which was science. Poppy used all the strength she could muster to not run out of the classroom screaming "FREEDOM!!!". She handed in her work and trotted off to science class, feeling a tiny bit more confident than usual.

Flare answered the questions with ease and raised his hand "I'm finished" Flare said as he gave the paper to the teacher. "If I get on this teachers good side this class wil be easy" Flare thought as he was given a sheet of paper with more problems on it. "More great"

Sterling was happy that math was finally over. For one thing, his teacher was so strict! All throughout the class Sterling noted how she was even worse than Mr. Grey when it came to strictness! To make matters worse, she gave three pages of homework that looked so bland to him. He skimmed very quickly through the homework and noticed that it was just some slightly more complicated algebra problems, nothing that was impossible for him! 'I'll get these questions done in a jiffy at home today! Then I can enjoy my scientific explorations, away from potentially hostile ponies...' Sterling was brimming with confidence as he left the math room. So far, no pony made fun of him for anything, he made a new mare friend, and most of the work wasn't all too bad so far!

 

For another thing, his favourite subject was next: science! Oh how he loved to see how his world operated, especially at the biological level! He trotted off happily to his locker to change his books around and then trotted to science, which was at Room 210. When he entered the room, he noticed all the light microscopes in place! It was amazing! He saw pictures of models of the pony's body on the walls, noting each of their major body systems. He even noticed a desk reserved just for chemistry, including a rack filled with chemicals! Oh science was going to be so exciting for him!

 

He took his seat near the front row, eager to hear anything new this teacher would say. 'Hopefully this next teacher will be really nice. Maybe they could answer all sorts of questions I have about the pony's body. There's just so much I'm intrigued at!' Sterling continued within his own daydream where he was exploring all sorts of tiny life that laid on the ground, noting each of their body's components.

Poppy walked slowly into the classroom. And wasn't she amazed by it. It had microscopes on the desks, and many posters of the pony body. She looked around at the classroom amazed.

 

"I hope this teacher isn't as bad as some of the others." Poppy thought.

 

She took her seat at a desk in the second row, and she waited for the teacher.

Flare got the pages and placed them in his Saddlebags and headed to his English class which he was in with someone else hopefully. "English...boring...I hope I dont fall asleep in this clas" Flare said as he went inot his English class and sat down and pulled out a piece of paper.
