Okay, so I haven't posted in a while and I just wanted to say that I haven't lost interest, I'm just not sure if I should hold off on Arrow waking up and going to find Harmonic until after the Chrysalis meeting or not.

It's up to you, we can't really do anything until this meeting goes ahead, unless we just send ourselves on the march against Manehatten now, but personally i'd rather wait, considering the Equestrians have fallen behind a little, we need to give them time to catch up to.

 

You can always post and just have yourself passing the time if you feel like it, again, it's up to you.

Lucy, would you be opposed to bringing in the queen before the rebels?

They've had opportunities to post and there are several of us who cannot do anything to progress until this gets underway and done - yourself included, with the queen.

 

It's up to you though, if you still want to wait for them to post then I don't mind, i'm just thinking about getting things moving again, that's all.

For the sake of getting along, please don't ignore me. I hate being ignored, especially when i'm being reasonable, so i'll ask again - what's your game? Why are you controlling so many characters without asking or being asked to first, and why are you making plans for the Crystal Empire that we don't have? 

 

I'm giving you a warning here simply for the aforementioned reasons. Controlling extra characters without consent, and bringing in your own plot lines, again without consent. You'll have one more warning on a repeat offense, and then you will be removed from the RP.

Oh criminy. I was -completely- not ignoring you on purpose. I promise. I haven't looked at the OOC thread in a couple of days and for some reason or another it didn't show up on my alerts when you 'mentioned' me in your post! I'm really sorry @_@. As to why I'm making plans and controlling npcs, its just sort of how I've done things in the past.

 

More often than not I like to keep a small cast of hangers on around my character. (Like one of my 'noble' characters had a butler that tended to be in the back ground most of the time.) I like to use these because sometimes I feel like doing a little storytelling, and longer posts can be a little... boring when you only have one pony doing something.

 

As for the more plans and plots side of things, I more often than not forget to ask and take lack of complaints as a yes. (Personal character flaw that I'm struggling with.) More of the storytelling aspect comes in here. With my latest post, which I'm -probably- going to have to edit a bit once you take a look at it, I want to see people's reactions to wide spread chaos and mayhem. So I used a pre-established concept and added onto it. In this case, not -only- did Steeleye do scouting as we agreed, he had his own agenda and set up a number of 'terror attacks' while he was doing so. Namely so that the war would go better.

 

Edit: As to an earier post that I just went back and looked at. I more or less explained why he's working for Cadence in my recent post. He's sure shes a psycho, but he plans on manipulating her rather than trying to dispose her and take the throne himself.

You haven't even addressed one of the main issues that Agent005 (or whatever your name is now; I haven't slept in over 24 hours and I'm freaking tired) brought up. The multiple character thing has to stop. And please explain how you were able to magically rig explosive traps all over Equestria without any of my team knowing it. I'll let Agent handle this because you're in his faction, but I want to express my concern and my distaste for this sort of roleplay performance. You are not an omnipotent power who can do anything.

Also, Justin, Cerulean has dropped out of the RP. I messaged her last night and she asked to open up her spot for someone else. I'll keep the meeting with Chrysalis dragged out until the second one gets here though, just to keep things in the plan in some sort of order so we don't just leave everyone in the dust.

If you want to change slight story elements - say, having one of you who are left as the changeling queen impostor, go for it. Just make sure you make it clear. I don't personally mind if you just act like someone else took the disguise instead of Cerulean, or if you want to re-disguise someone else or something. 

 

Higurashi, i'm going to have to ask you to drop your multiple characters. It does feel a lot like you're taking on your own roleplay within this one with the sheer amount of characters you have. I'll allow you to keep one, maybe two, considering we all seem to have one or two extra characters at the minute, it only seems fitting. I would also like to be informed before you make something as significant as half of Equestria turn into a giant booby trap. I actually like the idea, so i'm willing to let it slide if Justin will too. It makes sense for you to have been able to rig them up on your way around, obviously, I would have rather been told beforehand so I know what to expect from you. So, if you plan on doing anything else like that in future, make sure you ask first.

I'll keep Darting Route as my hangers on and stop mentioning the rest of the Scout Team as characters. (Most of them honestly don't qualify the title from my perspective, but I'm just going to keep my mouth shut from here on.)

 

Also, I did indeed answer the question of 'multiple characters'. My answer was that I tend to keep a large disposable group of npcs attatched to my characters so I can add more depth to my posts.

 

As to my own storyline being abruptly inserted into the rp... I don't really have an answer for that. An rp is a group effort and my contribution happens to involve explosives and terror tactics.

I can and probably will conjure up things that are frustratingly violent and infuriatingly powerful, -if I'm allowed to-. I feel we're really getting off on the wrong foot here, but that sounds like an awful lot of OP godmodding right there. Anything of that magnitude happens in this RP and I can say with certainty that all three of us running this will have no hesitation to remove you.

And I never said otherwise after your answer, I said that it was wrong to bring in multiple characters with no warning, question or permission. If you wish to keep a mention of the other characters, you may talk to them in character, but they will not interact with other characters, and they will not affect the roleplay directly.

And i'm fine with that, it's just the fact that - again, you never made a mention of it before you seemingly pulled it out of thin air and flung it into the story. Just imagine if someone else said something along the lines of "And then Canterlot castle exploded because of a bomb that had been planted there by my character when I was there" all of a sudden - how are people going to react to that? 

All i'm saying is that a little hindsight goes a long way.

Also, you're going to have to forgive me for this but again, I have no real idea how to respond to your recent post. 

I gather the letter has been left somewhere Cadence will easily see it, yes? So I can get to responding to that in a few posts (not right away, simply because she's otherwise occupied, doesn't make sense for her to just turn around and see a message) 

 

But what of the scapegoat? Was that included in the letter, or has that actually been told to her verbally? Or perhaps Steeleye is simply thinking about what to say in his head? I don't know, most likely i'm just being stupid, but it's unclear to me. I would hazard a guess and say that it's been told to her verbally, from the way you worded it, yes?

The major difference is that you would have made -no- prior reference to be anywhere near Steeleye. Hence poison would be very possible. However, setting explosives while going across Equestria really isn't, as Steeleye is already an ambitious military officer that would know how to and could orchestrate these things. Basically, I expanded on something I -already- had established. Like adding a scope on a rifle. I didn't just pull out a gauss rifle from thin air.

Also, I may well have to go and re-read a lot of the posts, because I wouldn't discover it was Steeleye for the main reason of meta-gaming. I don't really see how Cadence would know for sure. I mean, she could suspect, but she couldn't know.

Also, i'm trying to drag the meeting out until the false chrysalis arrives to give you some action too, I dont exactly want to discuss what our characters should do in the future in the OoC topic, that defeats the purpose of RPing, but the Black Hoof faction has been really quiet lately.

Well the point is that I'm really not okay with it, so I'm not going to go along with it. If you want to do something, you need to either establish it as already having happened or actually make a mention of your character doing it. That's a principle of RPs that I follow pretty religiously.

 

I don't mean to come off as rude, but I seriously don't approve of just adding things on.

I'm wondering what's up with the Black Hoof; haven't heard from them for a while. Also, just for the sake of keeping up with my main character Sanura, I posted her waiting for Swordpoint to talk to her.

 

I do have a couple of changeling NPCs; Cicada, Chrysalis' second and a random Captain who's interacting with Curse. I had to have those, but they won't be mains. Just that since Curse was hanging around the Hive, it made sense for somepony to make a discovery.

And I dont see a problem with controlling some NPCs, quite a few of us are doing it and it's not really taking anything from the story. Its's when they become main characters that it's a problem.

We started off with 3 factions and 15 people. We now have 2 factions, 7 people, and I think 5 of us playing more than one character.

Guys, any ideas on how we can get some more people interested in this, and get things moving along at the same time? We seem to be at a standstill as far as actual story progress due to us waiting around so much.

 

I'm going to cut the meeting with Chrysalis, Black Hoof have practically stopped posting, all aside from Concord Discord.

 

What do you all think should be done with this? My personal idea would be to probably scrap the black hoof for now, and find some way for Concord to join the Equestrian team, i'll be getting us set up for attacking pretty soon, hopefully, so we can move things along on our end again.
