Hey, I just thought of something. I know that it's been firmly established in the rules that there are absolutely no guns allowed in this roleplay, because they may be OP, and I am not challenging this rule at all. I was just thinking, in the song Find a Pet Rainbow Dash mentions bullets (and of course later in that episode she talks about tanks) so, at the point in time of the canon show, I think this implies that guns do exist in some form.

 

So, I was just thinking that maybe the in-game reason nopony in the roleplay has a gun (after all, there are no actual guns in the canon show of course, just hints that they exist) is that all gun production was stopped, with the weapons being all-out banned, any blueprints of how to make them destroyed and orders being sent for all of the few existing guns to be seized and destroyed, too, because they were considered too horrific as weapons. This way, Arrow having a battlesaddle in the past still works with the canon of the roleplay, but it also makes sense why nopony in the present time of the roleplay has one.

 

But then, do we really need to establish the issue? I just thought I could have Arrow mention the issue in passing some time, since it  was bothering me slightly, but I wanted to run the idea through the OoC first to make sure it was okay. Once again, to be absolutely clear, I am not asking for Arrow or anypony to have a gun, I just wanted to suggest a reason within the roleplay for why nopony has them anymore, despite having established that a very small few existed in the past.

I think that on the backstory part of his character page in the database, I handwaved something about him leaving his battlesaddle with his wife when he first went to investigate the Crystal Empire, as a promise that he would come back (although really, that was rather stupid of him - guess he is related to Feather XD) though I don't know why he didn't bring some other weapon with him... Huh. Maybe when he was transported he lost everything except his clothes and saddlebags? Which were empty because...uh, because...

 

He drew his weapon, a knife, from his saddlebag before he touched the crystal (the one that transported him to the time of the roleplay), then dropped the knife when the crystal's magic started to take effect!

 

You're brilliant. Make the knife a machete though.

 

It doesn't matter what it was, he doesn't have it anymore anyway.

 

It's the principle of realism!

Yeah, why not? It's a pretty good idea if you ask me, as far as i'm concerned i'm happy for it to be implemented, it doesn't really change anything, but it could give us an interesting end to the story. 

OK: here's the idea as I posted it in the PM.

 

Anyway, just wanted to share an idea I had about why Cadance is mad. Dunno if you know the story The Snow Queen, but in it the boy goes cold like ice cuz he has a shard of ice from the Snow Queen in his eye. My idea was that Cadance could have a splinter from Sombra's horn in her eye, and that's what turned her insane. There is a possibility that she could be brought back if it was removed, but of course, nopony's going to know that right now.

Hehe. I'm plotting to kill my own character. This is weird.

 

I'm trying to debate whether to actually have Dawn Wing kill Swordpoint and then use him as my main for the remainder of the RP or to have Swordpoint kill or incapacitate Dawn Wing.

 

As such, I'll take a vote. Which one should I do, guys?

Swordpoint is fair and kind, and wants to save Cadence. He will likely be willing to collaborate with the Black Hoof, although his ultimate goal remains the same: Saving Princess Cadence from her insanity.

 

Dawn Wing is power hungry and vindictive, and he just wants to shed some blood. He's far less likely to collaborate with the Black Hoof, and will probably kill them on sight.

 

In addition, if Dawn Wing kills Swordpoint, he's probably going to kill Rainbow, too, since she's in the room with him. Plus, he's got some other dark plans that he'll set in motion, as well. They can be inferred from past posts.

 

Basically, do you want us to be righteous and true, or would you prefer that we become just as dark as the Empire's army? The choice is yours...

Well, Goldie doesn't know about his evil intentions. All he knows is that he wants sword point dead and Celestia gone.

 

If he does catch wind of his evilness, he may desert or something...though I'm not sure there will be somewhere to desert to at that point XD

You can do as you please. If Goldie changes his mind, he can certainly help save Swordpoint. Although if everyone wants us to take the darker path, Dawn Wing will likely injure or kill Goldie, too. He wouldn't want to have Goldie going to Celestia and ratting him out for Swordpoint's murder.

Cept he won't get to fufill them, as he'll be dead >! I sort of wonder how this rp will end. (Cause if Cadence is restored to sanity, Steeleye will probably continue the rebellion on his own time, even if that means a long drawn battle of terrorist attacks and attrition.)

And throughout all of this, Sanguine will just follow just about whoever commands the Crystal Empire. It's an effect of the magic Sombra used. He's fully aware of the fact he has no choice in the matter, but he follows the Crystal Crown so long as it stands, whether he fully agrees with it or not. Hence his still following Cadence loyally even before she fell to madness.

She'd have no regrets at killing Dawn Wing if she had to, cuz Swordpoint enjoys the rare boon of being one of the ponies who Sanura trusts. XD

While I think about it, I have a few minor short (relatively) stories that I type on occasionally. Would you guys like a look? The few ready for reading (still incomplete though) are:

Pumpkin Patch (Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Dark/Comedy)- A man trapped in a town of monsters due to past mistakes, not realizing that he has to face those same mistakes in order to escape. But does he even want to leave?

Murk Wader (WH40K/Dark/Comedy)- When trapped on a world where the sun never shines and everything wants to kill him, can one soldier possibly survive alone? Good thing this one can run fast.

The Land between Ideals (Post Apoc/Comedy/Romance)- When a affluent boy from the gilded mountain meets a gritty gear-wench from the slums, can he take ahold of fate's helm and guide the city of Grey Cliffs to a better future?
