@@rouge_wind, Volt looked quizzically at Rouge. "Why yes I think I do know him. If it's the same pony, then his name is Dogboots. Why do you ask?" It was weird, what was happening. He met Cuppie and Dogboots. Then he met Rouge near Cuppie. And now Rouge had met Dogboots? It was a bit weird in Volt's opinion.

"cause when i saw him he looked like a piece of feces. he told me where the bakery was and then when i tried to ask him what was wrong, he got even sadder 'if that was possible' and told me off. and then when i was at the bakery cuppie look just as distraught." rouge replied as they started walking around outside to find a place that would sell the things needed for their 'little' project. 'do you think that something went on between those two?" volt just shrugged. as they started to walk further rouge looked aroun and started to notice that every thing was a little bit off. "hey volt, do you know where we are?" volt looked around and noticed that dogboots was walking around aimlessly.

"Ummmmm, yea I think I know where we are. Hey Dogboots is over there." The two stallions walked over to the earth pony. "Hey Dogboots! Whatcha doin around here?" Although Volt knew where he was, it was an almost abandoned area. Why would Dogboots be in this part of town?

"Vinyl Blade... now why does that sound familiar?" Scarlet briefly thought to herself.

 

She returned the look Vinyl was giving her, and said, "Oh, I'm not quite sure... long enough to make sure my brother doesn't go and do something stupid. Perhaps a week or two. Though, I have no place to stay, come to think of it."

 

Curious caught wind of the looks being exchanged between Scarlet and Vinyl, and the only thing that could go through his mind was, "yes... yes... finally that habit of yours is actually going to be useful, well, to me. Keep Vinyl distracted; I can hardly count on Windy, it seems."

Dogboots had turned to see Volt and Rouge approach him. Truth is, the stallion wanted to be lost and by himself though he wasn't going to get that luxury at all.

 

"Just walking around, you?" He said trying to look somewhat in a good mood though it seemed to be failing him miserably. Though he did find it odd that he ran into both Volt and Rouge for a 2nd time today.

 

"Small world I guess," He thought to himself.

"oh me and volt were looking for a place that sells anti-mater, a geo- distributor, a blow torch and some filtration mask, wana help, because this place doesn't look to good for ponies like us." ' just what happened to him and cuppie? wait... cuppie as in cuppie cake from ponyville? wow it is a small world.' rouge was lost in thought while dogboots just looked at rouge as if he were some mad pony.

Mystic said as she looked around her small apartment. she noticed both Scarlet and Vinyl exchanging looks to each other

'Oh Vinyl, you naughty filly, what are you planning?'

"Meh, none of my business really. Besides, I got bigger problems to worry about than shopping for...whatever it is they're shopping for,"

While I was there I had talked to cuppie, she was trying to force her self not to sound sad I could tell by the way she was about to take my order. What happened between you two? And before you say 'nothing leave me alone.' Or ' what made you come to that cootionnclusion?' I had just put two and two together you looking as if life just wasn't worth it any more and what server do you know that likes their job wold try and sound void of emotion." Rouge had gone into full monolog mode and wasn't going to stop untill dogboots told him what happened. "I know that you may not see me as afriend, but I do. And I don't like seeing my friends hurt." Rouge explained to dogboots. Both dogboots and voltjust looked at rouge, volt was suprised at how obsevent I've been while dogboots continued to stare at rouge.

"Fine, I told Cuppie how I felt about her and I ended up embarrassing her and making her feel awkward! So there! Happy? You happy that you know now huh?!" He said annoyed at the situation. Dogboots didn't like talking about his own problems, especially to some stallion he didn't even though.

 

He sighed, "Look I'm sorry, I know you're trying to help, but this is my problem and I'd rather handle it by myself,"

Vinyl caught a look on Curious' face that could really only be described as relief, as if he thought his sister was going to distract her enough to keep her away from Mystic. Haha! What a fool. He couldn't possibly think his sister was going to replace what Mystic means to me. He really does seem to be a possessive little-" Heheh... No more mind reading for you. "Only a week or two, huh? And you don't have a place to stay? You know, Curious has this great little apartment just several blocks from here. I'm sure he wouldn't mind you staying there, would you, Curious," she said, elbowing his shoulder.

I know it may seem over used and old but it's the truth, I'm not saying to go and face them head on but it would be wise to face them as soon as possible. And after this whole ordeal is over I hope me and you can become good friends, kay?" Rouge was trying to cheer this dude up, it was like he didn't want to go and talk to her and rouge could understand why. " did you at least hear what she said after you told her?"

With out warning rouge grabs dogboots by the hooves and starts flying tword the bakery and dispite dogboots threats and squrming rouge and volt had made it to the bakery and pushed dogboots inside. "Hey, cuppie? We need you to come here a moment."

"Rouge, what the hay! This isn't any of our business and we're busy anyway!" Volt shoved a hoof at Rouge. "I know you want to help, I do too! But this isn't the way to do it! You don't just butt yourself into other peoples problems like this!" Volt was pretty mad by now. Why did Rouge have to be so nosy? Volt was a kind and caring person, but this wasn't being kind. Dogboots had said time and again to be left alone, so they should leave him alone.

After fully realizing how much of a jerk he'd actualy been insted of helping he had hurt any chance of forming a friendship with dogboots and is probly going to have to do something pretty big to get dogboots to accept his apology. Rouge finds a way for dogboots to escape with out being seen by cuppie. "Here I found this way for you to get out of here, I hope you could forgive me someday dude." Rouge said in as much of a sincer way possible.

Cuppie had moved to the kitched by now and was just about to put the finishing touches on a batch of cupcakes this was for an order for a birthday party but Cuppie took every order seriously and decorated each cupcake with the utmost care. She was was just about to add a blue swirl of frosting to each one when a huge crash and shouts came from out side making her squirt half the pastery bag all over almost the whole batch. "Buck!" She was about to go out and tell off the rude guest's when she heard Flour Dusts loud voice through the walls that old mare was screaming so loud Cuppie almost felt bad for who ever it was and tjen she looked down at the cupcakes and thought "almost."

Woken up from right in the middle of a nap Flour was spitting mad, "what do you think you're doing! You think you can just barg in here like you own the place well you don't! I do! And I won't have any of you ruffians any where near my bakery now get out and never come back YOU GOT THAT?!"

"Mad'am, this was all my fault please don't hinder my friends for my mistake. I had made been nosey and jumped into something that was not any of my business. Rouge wind had messed up royaly and it was all because he didn't listen in the first place so he thought it not fair to volt and dogboots to whom he has caused so much stress already.

Dogboots dusted himself off after he was bought to the bakery despite his wishes not to be there. The stallion was practically furious at Rouge, but he sighed and turned away without saying so much of a word to the pegasi.

 

"He was just trying to help. I don't care! That was the wrong way to do it! I'm all for helping others but that's taking it too far for a matter like this!" He thought to himself as he made his way back to his apartment, making sure not to be seen by Cuppie.

Flour shooed Rouge out of the bakery screaming, "out out out!" She turned back to Volt mistaking him for a customer she said, "I'm so sorry about that is there anything I can get you?"

Cuppie had finishedretopping the cupcakes had put them into a a box and was just about to head out to deliver them when she saw Volt right as she opened the door her eyes widened in surprise, "Volt? What are you doing here I thought you left."

"Let's just say there was an incident and I was dragged into it." Volt wasn't one to name names, and he especially didn't want to mention Dogboots. "I was just leaving. See you around Cuppie, for like the third time." He took a second to look at Cuppie. She was pretty cute... No Volt what are you thinking? There's obviously something going on between her and Dogboots! Volt shook his head a bit and smiled at Cuppie. "Uh, yea... see ya around..."

"Oh uh wait Volt? Can I ask you something really quick?" Cuppie rushed to to stand by his side as they walked out of the bakery, "I was on my way out anyway, but I wanted to ask if you knew anything about the boats in the harbor."

 

It's the only lead I have and I need to get out of here fast so why not ask him?

@@slimmyjimjim,  Volt stiffened at the question. "Boats? Hehe no why would I know anything about boats. Nope didn't even know there was a harbor..." Volt was deathly terrified of the ocean and when he had to, boats made him horribly seasick. He didn't like boats so much in fact, that he had flown all the way to Sydneigh so he didn't have to go on one. He gave a nervous smile to Cuppie, also remembering what he noticed about her earlier.

Vinyl then used her magic to send a thought into Mystic's mind. And when we're alone here, it can be like old times. Are you down?
