Opening his eyes and sitting up when he heard Minty's voice, Windy turned and looked at her from the couch. "Oh, hey Minty! I had a Econ 103 class today, and I also was busy 'borrowing' a couch from a professor I hate and giving it to Blaze as a new room present. You know, to make it a little more comfy and homely. And yeah, his new roommate is smokin'! I told him he'd be getting a hot roommate and even I was surprised by how good looking she was!" After a momentary pause, he realized his mistake and added, "But she can't hold a candle to your beauty Minty."

It's not my thing and no, no no. It's bad. Well, as my mum said." Minty trotted over to the couch and sat at the far end of it and turned on the TV.

Gardenia smiled widely. "Wow, I am already making so many friends here! And they are all so kind and... well I am not used to this degree of attention. I suppose it helps that they aren't all so concerned with politics or fashion or anything silly like that! We are all students here, and it just feels so... welcoming!"

 

Gardenia started to happily canter onward, but then remembered that the whole reason she was so happy was that she had company. "Come on, then!" she said as she turned around and beckoned the two stallions along.

"So, where you from? I was born in Manehatten, but my father... well um... yeah, I didn't really get to know him either. But after he died, we moved to Ponyville and well, I started to gather money, with races and finally raised enough to come and study here."

I look at Gardenia.

"So where did you come from, how'd you end up here?"

"Yeah, you're probably right about it being bad... Not that I'll ever agree. Although I'm a little offended that you immediately assumed I was complimenting you to try and ply you for sex!" He said, chuckling at the thought. "I just wanted to compliment you to be nice! And no, I don't like that other mare. Seems a bit too prim and proper for me. I just hope Blaze acts on it and gets her to be his marefriend. Me, I much prefer humble, timid, naturally pretty mares who have a certain affinity for mints." He said, smiling and grabbing his Business Administration book to begin reading for class the next day.

"But, well... how do you spend your time? I mean, I like tending to gardens, what's your passion?" Gardenia tried to take a quick glance at RedStorm's cutie mark, but found that he had none.

I managed to break it down back into water and dispose of it. Oh, and I also fixed the door. I just conjured a new one, though that took a toll on my magic."

She slips the pills back into her saddlebags, "But anyway, now that we've met up again, do you want to do something together...?" She tilted her head, "...Or do you want to hang by yourself? Whatever you want, I can go with whatever."

Royal wasn't sure what to consider her right now. He had originally assumed it'd be a smple roomate realationship, but it seemed to be heading toward something else.

Minty blushed a little. "Well, they're probably a lot of mares who are humble and like mints. Everypony likes mints." She said, rubbing her hoof modestly. She trotted over to the bed. "Want to sleep here tonight?" She asked, not cheekily at all. Just regular sleeping. No sex, nothing. Just sleeping with the window open and the cool breeze flying in.

Nothing more than a bit of cute cuddling, I promise on my Pegasi Honor!" Glancing over at the kitchen, he added, "Also, I went shopping for some food, earlier. I absolutely love cooking, so do you want me to cook dinner for us?"

She turned her head to Blaze as they continued to trot along their way. "He seems nice, don't you think so, Blaze?"

 

"He's being awfully quite. Hopefully it's just from not having anything to say, than from still being too nervous. I know how hard it can be at times to speak when you don't feel that you belong."

Tossing his textbook onto the coffee table, Windy got up and wrapped his hooves around her comfortingly. "Minty, what you think are flaws are what I think make you so great! Your mane is like cotton candy, which I love! As for your eyes, did I ever tell you lavender is my favorite color? And as for your personality, you're the sweetest, most straight up mare I've ever met! As for your fears, we all have 'em, and I promise I'll help you to not be afraid anymore. You have to start believing that you are a great mare. Like I said before, I'm just gonna keep flattering you and telling you how great you are until you finally realize its true."
