Gardenia smiled gently, "Tell me, don't tell me, either is fine. Whichever would make you comfortable. Though, I can't say I have much experience of my own to share, so I'd basically just be a pair of ears, anyway."

 

Gardenia then remembered that their introduction was cut short, "Also, it's nice to make your acquaintance, Blaze. I do hope we will get along fine."

 

Gardenia attempted to mimic the gesture she saw Mint do, but she wasn't certain she got it quite right, "How ever did she do that with her hoof?"

"Uhh, yeah. I hope so too." Blaze responded awkwardly. He stood there for a few more seconds as she tried to do that wierd thing minty did. "Umm, so is that the dorm behind you? They all look the same apparently." He looked around behind. "Just without allcthe stuff before." He muttered.

Gardenia stepped aside to let Blaze into the dorm. "Yeah, it is quite plain now that you mention it."

 

Gardenia trotted over to the saddle-bag she had dropped off on her bed, and started to shuffle through it. "I brought a few small things from home, but we ought to get some furniture to make the place more comfy." she pulled out a small wooden box, a worn and evidently old book, and a small framed picture from her bags and set them down on her bed.

 

Gardenia turned back to Blaze, "What about you, how do you want to decorate up the place?"

Gardenia stepped aside to let Blaze into the dorm. "Yeah, it is quite plain now that you mention it."

 

Gardenia trotted over to the saddle-bag she had dropped off on her bed, and started to shuffle through it. "I brought a few small things from home, but we ought to get some furniture to make the place more comfy." she pulled out a small wooden box, a worn and evidently old book, and a small framed picture from her bags and set them down on her bed.

 

Gardenia turned back to Blaze, "What about you, how do you want to decorate up the place?"

Blaze shrugged lightly. "Well, It has two beds, a tv, and umm, a chair. But umm. Perhaps a few paintings? I-I don't paint but you know... Umm. I'm not good with this, so I willll unapck now." He put his case down and unpacked, consisting of little more than a hat, a few items of clothing and a broken picture of his own family, which he rested on the bedside table.

Rambler returned her embrace and kissed her back. He pulled her in closer until their chests pressed together and held her tight. He would have been content to stay in that moment forever, but eventually they had to return to reality. After what seemed like a long time, he reluctantly broke the kiss. "Alright, when we get back, you can here the other song. After that, I think you've earned it."

Neon felt so happy, she could stay like this forever...when he broke the kiss she felt a bit disappointed but smiled "Alright! Can't wait" She smiled then got up to brush her mane a bit "Alright, i'm ready"

Rolling his eyes and chuckling, Windy tossed a pillow at the stallion. "Shut up man! Besides, I'm not THAT bad! I mean, sure my soccer coach found out... and you... and Blaze... But other than that, I'm doing great at keeping a low profile! Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a couch to go steal from a grumpy professor for a friend of mine." He said, trotting out of the room and heading down the hall towards the Business Department.

"Hehe, jimmying the lock into Professor Snivel's classroom was just too easy! And the couch isn't that heavy either! This was almost too simple... Now I just need to get it to Blaze's room without getting caught..."

 

Heading down the hall, and asking for directions to where Blaze's new room was, Windy managed to find it before his back gave out from the increasing weight of the couch. Setting it down on the floor, he pushed the door open. "Yo, Blaze! I've got an order for a couch here to make your new room a little more homely!" Walking in, he began dragging the couch in after him. "I told you I'd stay true to my wor-... Sweet Celestia!" He trailed off as he saw a new mare. in the room with Blaze. A very, very pretty mare. "Wow... I really am psychic! I TOLD him he'd get a hot roommate, and bam! With predictions like mine, I should just go join a stock brokerage now! He'd better not chicken out and let her slide through his hooves!"

 

"Blaze, I see you... have a new roommate. Just like I said!" Windy said, raising his eyebrows suggestively. "I think I'll just leave this couch here, and let you put it where you two want. Have fun Blaze, and I'll hit you up later to go have a few drinks at the bar, on me!" He called out, giving a jaunty salute to Blaze and mouthing "Told you!" to him, before turning and shutting the door, heading back to his own room.

Kicking open the door and tossing himself onto the couch, Windy breathed a sigh of relief. He had managed to remain cordial with his ex-roommate, get closure on knowing Blaze wouldn't be... lonely, successfully stolen a couch from his least favorite professor right out from under his snobby arrogant educated snout, AND not failed a pop quiz on a reading he hadn't done in Econ 103! Not to mention that he and Minty were now rooming together... alone!

 

"This really deserves a celebratory nap!" Windy thought happily, closing his eyes and dozing off on the couch.

Denim had begun to trot away after directing the other unicorn to the janitor, when Royal walked up to her, asking what she was doing down this way, that their dorm was the opposite direction. She shrugged, "Exploring, meeting new ponies, that kind of thing. What about you? What were you doing?"

 

She then remembered that he had been drinking the night before, though if it was as heavily as her, she wasn't sure. Either way, she decided to show him the remedy she'd been given, "Oh yeah! So, I met this pegasus in my lit. class this morning, and he noticed I was a bit hungover, and he gave me these," She produces the pill box, "He said he used to date a zebra, and she taught him how to mix a bunch of those potions and remedies and the like. These are one of those things. They work practically instantly!" She smiled, levitating the vial next to her.

 

"And yes, I do realize that somepony randomly handing you pills is pretty sketchy, but he looked trustworthy enough. But anyway, I was wondering if you would want to try one? I don't know how heavily you were affected from last night, but.. well, yeah."

Royal obviously couldn't fix it himself, but he still wondered why she did it in the first place.

Gardenia smiled widely. "Wow, I am already making so many friends here! And they are all so kind and... well I am not used to this degree of attention. I suppose it helps that they aren't all so concerned with politics or fashion or anything silly like that! We are all students here, and it just feels so... welcoming!"

 

Gardenia started to happily canter onward, but then remembered that the whole reason she was so happy was that she had company. "Come on, then!" she said as she turned around and beckoned the two stallions along.
