Trust Pinkie Pie to do something different

So I decided to draw a pony. And I had this idea in my head so I did it. And that terrible multi-layered mess is supposed  to be some houses in Ponyville. This was the first time I've used the blur tool. Please let me know what I can improve on and also which picture you like better, the unblurred or the blurred one.

its good I like the un blurred one better tho because the blurred one gave me a massive headache. But all and all its really good just a little more attention to detail.

I thought those were mountains! And I definitely like the unblurred one better. The blurred one makes my eyes feel kind of itchy and out of focus, you know?

Pretty cool drawing, though.

The only problem I have with this is the fact that it is NOT the way that Pinkie runs at all. "Party of One" shows that she gallops like a horse, even at Rainbow Dash equivalent speeds.

I'm not sure he was going for the show-like style in the first place haha. I suspect he may be a sonic or road runner fan.

 

 

What software did you use? See if it supports a motion blur feature. If not, a well used smudge tool will do the trick. It'll give a better impression of movement than the gaussian blur you used in the second picture which just makes it look like the image quality is suffering.

I'm pretty sure he wasn't going for that type of style. The running posture looks more like how figures like Sonic or Road Runner despite it going against equine anatomy.  I think that kind of blur effect in the shot you posted would work better here though

I see what you mean about it looking like mountains. Man the blurred one is just hurting everyone's eyes. Makes me feel a bit guilty.

Yeah I was going for a sonic/ road runner style. I just had the idea in my head and I figured Pinkie has done crazier things.

 

I was using Gimp to draw it. I saw it had a blur tool so I used that. I'm pretty sure it does have a smudge tool though, so I'll try that.

Correct about the style. And I agree that the blur affect in Full Spectrum's picture would have worked better than what I did.
