I've heard recently that South Park is going to do an MLP episode to start off season 17. I really hope they do make this episode, because i both love mlp and south park and it would be a fun idea for one of the boys to get addicted and become a closet brony . Also, i also want the episode to appriecate and joke on the brony fandom, but in a good way. I hope Cartman will be a brony

I remember a similar rumor was circulating around the internet about a year ago. That's why I'm going to dismiss this as a rumor as well since that one turned out to be fake. So unless you can provide a reliable source, this is going to be hard to believe

I don't think so. I have heard this before and I asked one of my friends and he said they're not doing that (he's like a very big south park fan)

I doubt it's actually real; most likely a rumor. I mean, South Park is alright, but I would rather not have them parody MLP. It could get kind of rude, and could either convince people to check out the show, or to hate it before they've seen it.

Yeaah I'd prefer that they didn't do it. They would tear this show to pieces. We would suddenly have an influx of people bashing the show even more than they do now.

I would be surprised if they didn't do one at some point.  I think South Park is (or was) TVs funniest show, and I would probably check out the episode at some point out of curiosity.  They sometimes put interesting spins on thier parodies.

I'm not sure if I'd like that or not.

Personally, I don't watch it.  (Because my dad watches it, so he'd probably never let me watch half of the episodes)  But, I'd definitely get my dad to watch it and then see if its appropriate for my 15 year old eyes xD

Rumors of this have gone around for quite a while so I am not going to get too excited until there is confirmation that they really are going make an episode parodying MLP. South Park makes fun of pretty much everything so it would make sense to have an episode like that I still remember the one where they fun of Pokemon. And I am curious as to what their thoughts would be on Derpy as the term "derp" was invented by the creators of South Park and first used in this movie they made called Basketball and used a few times in earlier episodes of South Park.

I have lost interest in South Park a while ago. It just feels like they lost their creative edge, it was quite funny at one point. I usually do not care what they make fun with this show, I have Aspergers Syndrome and did not care about the episode where they made fun of that. Honestly, even though MLP is now a huge thing really to an unexpected audience, this is something that I truly would rather not see them parody or make fun of. I really cannot explain why...There have been countless things like this that have been parodied in a 'mature' way. (I use the term mature incredibly loosely there) FiM though...I don't know, something about South Park doing something related to it bugs me, if they are going to do it that is.

Keep in mind that each episode of South Park is made within a week after the last one has aired, so it's highly unlikely that they'd announce they were planning a specific episode plot a year in advance.

 

I'd like to see what they have to say about it. When they make fun of or insult something, it's usually a more meaningful and sometimes clever remark than "HUH-DUR, BR0NI35 R P3D0PH1LES".

South Park for me is one of those shows that's really hit or miss for me like Robot Chicken, and a lot of times Family Guy. They'll either have above average and great material or crap garbage that hardly makes sense, is completely insensitive and stupid for the sake of stupid.

 

If they do DO a MLP episode or reference I would imagine it may revolve around poor Butters . That or hopefully Randy accidentally catching a glimpse of the show and getting uber obsessed over it and fapping to his bestpony. I would definitely watch the latter. They have evolved significantly since they started and made the Pokemon parody Chinpokomon so I do expect a parody would be quite bearable and even entertaining.

 

Besides, 4chan notwithstanding, bronies survived that silly College Humor clip, I don't see how South Park could tarnish our reputation now.

I would actually like that! I'm really confused on how they've yet to do that. We are all around the Internet and the South Park creators always makes fun of things while it still is fresh. So if they don't do it soon, they probably will never do it.

Source? I see no source, so therefore this is a rumor. Or maybe you heard that a year ago when it was a rumor, an old rumor. It's not likely and probably won't happen.

Probably not gonna happen, but I'd like to see such an episode. I find it highly doubtful that Matt and Trey, as clever as they are, would use such an opportunity to try and ridicule bronies, but rather to criticize the way other people tend to overreact to us and lambaste us in the media.

 

Sure, they may take a couple potshots at us for a quick and easy joke, but I can already envision the bit at the end of the episode where Stan or Kyle gives the usual heartfelt speech, in this case detailing how people should be able to enjoy what they like without persecution, and those who are threatened by "girly" stuff aren't secure in their masculinity, etc.

 

...Does anypony else see that, or is it just me?

It'd be interesting if they did an episode about MLP, but meh. I don't watch South Park.But a few of my friends do. They also know I'm a brony. Meh.
