is sunset shimmer a villian?

what if sunset shimmer will be a villian instead of a new student of twilight and tries to take over equestria like trixie did? or she will only play on the movie as the "douchebag girl"?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no, either Manipulation of somesorts, possible "Student" of someone like Queen Chrysasis and she believes she isdoing the right thing, or is a changling herself, but i see Redemption coming for her if not a changling

 These are kinda...er...odd questions. lol But um...I haven't seen the movie yet, but judging by the trailer, I do not think Sunset will change her ways...who knows xD Just a prediction.
But to clear the air for you:
1) Sunset Shimmer is indeed a villian, she is the antagonist. She stole Twilight's crown, so that should've rung a few bells.
2) Trixie didn't TRY to "take over" Equestria. She was a showoff pony who gloated about her magic, claiming she was "great and powerful". An attention grabber.
3) As analized by the trailer, she is technically the stereotypical bitch of the school.

I rest my case xD

   I don't see her as somepony with the intent to conquer, but just to obtain vengeance, as she was the former student of Celestia before Twilight Sparkle came along. The fact that she steals the Element of Magic, and considering her backstory. I believe her demon form won't be her being like "The power! Now I can rule all of Equestria!" but moreso having a mental breakdown.

From what I've seen in the Equestria Girls trailer, she only looks like the older, teenage version of Diamond Tiara and not someone who wants to take over something huge like a town or anything >.< 

My guess is that it will be something like a cliche high school drama where she starts out as a douche bag bully whose all up herself and thinks about herself instead of others, then in the end of the movie she befriends Twilight and the gang and changes her personality into someone nicer, polite and friendly.
