Do you sometimes feel your posts don't matter?

Ripple effect comes to mind, they can have a bigger impact on the world than you may think, while you don't need to know every detail about people you meet online, that doesn't mean words they say cannot have an impact for good or bad. Did you give advice to people on how to shop wisely for items they may need or want for Christmas? people who saw your comment can and do draw inspiration from that. I've had several people who talked to me who wished to use decoration ideas I've used at home, from LEDs to framed posters, that sort of thing.

As for people who may fall into a nihilistic mindset of nothing we say or do to try to change the world for the better would never get anywhere, I used to think that way too, but the world always changes, cause and effect still happens regardless of how pessimistic we feel at a given time in our life. We cannot always bring about the positive changes as soon as we would want, but we must try, because it's all we have going for us. Our posts DO matter, that is the point of forums. Kindness is never wasted, even if some people do not appreciate the value of mercy and empathy, it does matter.

I don’t really care if they make any great impact because it’s just casual stuff for the most part. If they have any benefit for anypony I’m very glad of it, but I’m not breaking a sweat overthinking it. Whether or not they matter is up to the person reading them and of little concern to me once I’ve sent my brilliant missives into the world.
