Whiplash. Tree branches grow, reaching out to ensnare a target. Then they whip back and forth, repeatedly slamming the victim into the ground. If not fatal, this will break most of the bones in a body.

Turning around Silverhoof approaches the user below, face twisted in a grimace of pain, not realizing that he still holds the knife or that he looks threatening. (or that a prone body lies in plain view just behind him...)
