When the orchestra finished the beautiful piece, Kismet was overcome with emotion.

 

"I'm such a sap," Kismet thought kindly, "It's just so beautiful!"

 

As the last note ended, Kismet began stomping her hoofs on the ground. Such cherished moments should never go unrecognized. It started with her own hoof-steps, but soon the crowd began to join in as well........... (ahem)

When the Manehattan University Philharmonic began to play, DJ couldn't control himself any longer. Overcome with joy at such a happy occasion and the moving piece, he began to weep. "Oh, what the hay! It's a wedding!" he thought to himself. He was just glad to see how happy his friends Sterling and Evening were together.

@, "Exactly what I was thinking, but we'll make it subtly different," Rarity said, busily sorting thru rolls of material as she spoke. "After all, this is a brand new dress! For the shoes, I could make them cowpony boots but with a two inch heel... any higher and I really don't think you'd be able to walk in them! If I make the boots match your hat, then I think I could just about allow it. Maybe you could have a silk flower or a leaf arrangement pinned to your hat..."

After the ceremonies wrapped up (if they already haven't, I'll wait till everyone else catches up), Red Talon headed back to his hotel for a bit before the party. He told Sterling, Evening, and everypony else that he would be arriving later, as he wanted to wash up a bit. He trotted back to his hotel, both happy for Sterling and Evening marrying, but still upset over the breakup with Neon. As he was walking, he saw a light blue blur, and the next thing he knew, he was on the ground staring Rainbow Dash in the face.

"OH MY GOSH!" she shouted, "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WON THE NEIGHTONA 500! I WAS THERE THAT DAY, AND WAS GOING TO COME TO VICTORY LANE TO GREET YOU, BUT THERE WAS A HUGE CROWD, AND I COULDN'T GET THROUGH!"

"Been awhile, Dashie," Red responded.

"YOU ARE, LIKE, SO AWESOME NOW THAT YOU WON THE 500!" She shouted.

"Oh yeah, sure, it was," Red responded half-heartedly, "It sure was... definitely... awesome."

"Hey, where are you going?" Rainbow asked, feeling as if something was wrong. "Wanna practice for the Phoenix race?"

"I've already won there... twice," Red responded, "I don't need any more practice, to be honest."

"How about some stunt flying?" She asked, "We gotta impress the Wonderbolts if we wanna make it big!"

"I can't right now," Red responds.

Rainbow, however, having not seen her friend since the Raven Incident, kept flying in his face.

"Are you okay?" Dash asked.

"Nope," Red responds.

"Lemme guess, the team dropped you?"

"Nope."

"Nervous for Phoenix?"

"Nope."

"Mare problems?"

"Yep."

"Is everything all right?"

"Nope."

With that, Red continued to head back to his hotel. He didn't dismiss Rainbow Dash because she annoyed him; he wasn't in the mood to talk, really. To begin with, he really didn't feel like going to the party, either.

"Want to talk about it?" Rainbow asks.

"Nope." Red responded.

"I'm not gonna stop bugging you until you say 'yes, Rainbow, I would love to talk about my mare problems!'"

Blue Note miserably stood up. It was a perfectly beautiful wedding. The orchestra was as skillful as ever, and ponies were all moved by the ceremony. Blue Note, oddly enough, was not crying. She couldn't afford to, or she may lose it entirely. She focused on the music, trying to remove herself from the context. At least she could get to her performance soon. Then this would all be behind her, just another unpleasant memory.

Sterling had just moved his mouth away from Evening. The kiss was passionate. The kiss was soft. The kiss was heavenly. He was now married to the beautiful and dashing Evening Glory. He never could believe that this glorious day would ever come, but now it has. When he gave his emphatic "I do", he could feel tears swelling up in his eyes in pure joy and happiness. When the Manehattan University Philharmonic began playing one of his favourite tunes, he couldn't hep but sniff as he sang along with the rest of the watchers. 

 

After it was done, Sterling looked again at Evening. That wonderful face. The impeccable smile. When he looked at her, he knew... it was only the beginning.

Neon smiled as Evening and Sterling kissed. She looked around at everypony cheering. She saw DJ, it seemed he was crying a bit, which surprised Neon. Neon giggled a bit at DJ crying. She looked back at Starling and Evening, it seemed like yesterday they were all ship wrecked together now Starling and Evening are married!

Applejack watched as Rarity began to stitch up her dress, picturing the look on Red's face as she sewed the fabric, weaving the thread through the green pieces of fabric. Applejack, so far, was pleased with Rarity's work.

Dash and Red knew each other since they were fillies, and the two loved to fly with each other. However, the two never harbored romantic feelings for each other, perhaps due to the fact that two competing athletes dating never works. Proof of this exists with Daneighca Patrick and Ricky Stenbarn Jr, two racers on the NASCOLT circuit who were currently dating. Because of this, Red felt more comfortable talking to Rainbow Dash of anypony about this subject. Red Talon walked into the hotel, and the two got in the elevator up to the 15th floor. Red made his way to his room, and inserted the cardkey into the slot, with an accompanying "beep" signaling the correct key. It was a spacious room, a suite to be exact. There was a couch, a walled off bedroom, and a table with chairs. Red took a seat on the couch, and began to explain everything to Rainbow Dash.

"Rainbow," Red said, "as you knew, I was dating Neon Strobe for quite some time. Just recently, as a matter of fact, about a day or so ago, we broke up. It's all I've been able to think about, recently. I just can't get her off my mind. She gave me something more to live for, and now, that thing is gone. My Neightona 500 victory, my respectable finishes at the Coca Foala 600 and the Indianeghpolis 500 no longer seem worth a damn, now that I lost Neon..."

Red tried his best to fight back the tears, but Neon was too much a part of him know, and the loss was just too painful for the race pony.

"Applejack," Red Talon responded to Rainbow Dash, "She's pretty, nice, and all, but... I just... Neon and I were just very serious about each other... so I thought..."

"It's just... I don't think there's anypony else like Neon. I know I have to get over it sooner or later, but it's... she's the only mare I ever really loved. And I do know how Applejack feels for me, but I don't know how I feel for her."

The wedding may have been over, but the after party and reception certainly weren't! As Sterling walked out of the chapel through the centre aisle, reporters all over were taking snapshots of the happy couple with beaming smiles on their faces and flowers being thrown at them from all directions! They were off to take pictures at Central Park's lush grass and tall trees as part of their ways to remember their marriage day forever. When Sterling arrived at Central Park though, he saw decorations everywhere... ones that were all set up by the ponies of Manehattan U... Needless to say, Sterling was still in complete shock... His eyes widened and his mouth opened in surprise... He turned to Evening and asked,

 

"Evie... do you... do you know about this? Was... was this all set up for... us?! If so... then... wow..."

 

Sterling then shook his head to compose himself as he walked towards the white fenced background to his right to take their pictures...

Noting that the ceremony was over, Kismet took the time to just close her eyes and feel the moment. The holy music of the orchestra playing, sending off their wishes to the newly weds as they walk down the aisle, was wonderful. Kismet smiled and trotted back down the aisle with the other ponies, leaving the chapel hall.

 

"Alrightly Evening," Kismet thought, "Your big moment has arrived, but now it's time to celebrate!" Kismet's mind went to the cake, the music, the dancing, it would all be great except for on teensy, weensy little detail.

 

"I still have to meet her friends.. The ones from the wreck. What will.... They think of me...?" Kismet gulped and tryed to focus on the fun and keep her worries to a minimum. After all, this was a time for rejoicing, not for doubts and fears.

"Thank you very much my friends! I see the cruise as a blessing in disguise. If it never happened, then I would never have met Evie and live out a depressing existence!" Sterling continued on with a chuckle,

 

"Soon you two will be in that same position! And guess what? You two are also on the same cruise! Geez it was like it was meant to be you know? I'll get to that on my speech today! I'm very excited about it, but at the same time, I'm so nervous! I hate speaking in front of crowds! I know I already practiced over and over, but still! It's terrifying!"

While Sterling was pondering about the constant picture taking he had to perform in the middle of a very sunny afternoon, he could hear two ponies congratulating him from the distance. Sterling waved back enthusiastically at them and replied with a cheer,

 

"Thank you very much my friends! I see the cruise as a blessing in disguise. If it never happened, then I would never have met Evie and live out a depressing existence!" Sterling continued on with a chuckle,

 

"Soon you two will be in that same position! And guess what? You two are also on the same cruise! Geez it was like it was meant to be you know? I'll get to that on my speech today! I'm very excited about it, but at the same time, I'm so nervous! I hate speaking in front of crowds! I know I already practiced over and over, but still! It's terrifying!"

"I'm sure you'll do fine Doctor." Steel said as he thought of a way to help his friend. "I know! Just think of it like you're bedside manner. Imagine that you're talking to a group of patients or interns. Just make it like a comfortable environment."

"Wait I didn't mean anything by it! I just thought that... you two... look great together! Yeah, that's it!" spoke Sterling with a very nervous chuckle, worried that Steel took offense by his light-hearted comment about him and Clover. 

 

'Oh why do I always have to put myself in these positions?! You and your big mouth!' thought Sterling as he continued to smile sheepishly towards Steel and Clover...

As everypony left, he cast one last glance at Luna before beginning to slowly and unsteadily walk as well. "I be hungry... No breakfast... I guess I will have a look over there..." he said, taking a couple of steps towards where everypony else went, before tripping, doing a barrel-roll on the floor, and landing on the pillow he still had on his back.

"Nice... Pillow..." came from him, seconds before one could only hear his light snoring.

I got along really well with Neon, right up until I proposed to her. I can't just let Neon get away like this. She's too much a part of me for me to just... let her go..."

(Ugh... School has left me so tired. Its interview day today at my school, I've had my interview yesterday so I've got the whole day off to post and stuffies)

Evening stood shyly next to Sterling, she hadn't liked the cameras all around her and flowers being thrown, she had no more than a fragile smile on her face, one that was nearly purely out of manners. Now she stood next to Sterling in the park and smiled shyly to everypony who congratulated them, or rather Sterling. It didn't really bother her that much, at least Clover had acknowledged her.

 

The mares curiosity that she was hiding got the best of her, she looked around and behind her at the scenery and ponies that were there, she noticed Kismet standing somewhat away from them, she seemed a bit afraid of approaching them. Evening took that as her mark and silently left Sterlings side to go over to her friend, hopefully she could get any fears she had away

"Hello" she said happily as she approached her best friend, soon getting to her and stopping in her spot "Did you enjoy the ceremony?" The mare wasn't exactly 'proud' of her awkward conversation starter, but it was enough to get things going, she supposed.

Sterling looked towards Evening as she chatted with what looked a very close friend. He smiled at the lavender mane as she chatted with Evening. She looked nice enough. The dice cutie mark did leave him wondering what exactly it meant however. Nonetheless, he learned to keep his mouth shut about personal opinions, especially after all the past mishaps that occurred because of his outspoken nature...

 

A short moment later however, there was a young filly who was holding a camera... could it be... was it... her? Sterling rubbed his eyes in mild shock in disbelief at who it was... After he confirmed it, he couldn't help but shout at the filly,

 

"HEY!! You actually came from Pelopponysia! How are things there?!" 

"Sterling!! Everything's been great in Pelopponysia! It's even better here though! I'm so happy for you! My parents wanted to come too after hearing about the EVIL Raven! Mommy even let me take pictures! You wanna see them?"

"Sure! Let's have a look see!"

 

Sterling looked at the pictures and was wholeheartedly impressed. He oohed and ahhed at her picture taking skills, wondering how he could possibly be as good as this filly... needless to say, it felt him slightly embarrassed.

 

"Wow! They're amazing pics! Hey! Would you like to take pictures of us after the dinner?!"

"REALLLY?! You REALLY want me to?! SURE!! I'd be HONOURED!"

"Great! Then I'll see you just after dinner ok?!"

 

As the young filly walked away, Sterling couldn't help but laugh happily. After all, it wasn't too long ago he saved her from the clutches of the dreaded, misty maze...
