gaming WHAT ABOUT HALF LIFE 3?

Well i know there is a lot of fuss about the upcoming title of the famous half life franchise.

Let me fill you in:

 

In half life 1 you are gordon freeman, a scientist that was in the middle of the disaster. The point of the game is to blast trough the black mesa facility and escape.

 

In HALF LIFE 2 you are also gordon freeman just that your objective varies from geting to a destination to protecting certain bases. 

 

There were also episode 1 and 2 that were a bit shorter but amazing, and of course you are gordon freeman...

 

HALF LIFE 3 is not confirmed and that sucks...

All gamers that loved half life 2 are begging on their knees to at least put out some artwork. But we dont know if it exists... Which is really dumb.(sorry for my language before) 

 

So i am gathering any information about the game as well if there are any tips of making it. 

And i sure hope there are going to be any pony easter eggs cause there is so many of us. 

 

God my biggest dream is half life 3.

 

So i ask you, fellow bronies and gamers, to add as much info of the game as you can.

Stay tuned maybe even i will add something usefull.

 

 

Please stay calm, one day half life 3 will be confirmed and then we will be happy.

 

 

 

Oh and one of my theories is that the game is so awesome, that it cost bilions and they should really hire someone as fast as Rainbow Dash to program that game. (ik noone is as fast as RD).

Maybe it will be released next to the steambox. (who knows )

It is my thought that they never intended to make another or they would have done it by now. But when it comes to games that take a long time to make to end up being the worst of them all, gaming has a long tradition of that. If they are making it but have been working on it since Half Life 2 (almost ten years ago) then they should just quit now before they end up releasing the worst game ever. It's a lack of vision or desire that they don't make another.

Well, I guess I'll be brutally honest here. But just to be safe...

But seriously, I never understood why Half Life was so popular. I've played HL1 and HL2, and I never got the appeal to it, personally.

 

 I'm not saying I don't care if Episode 3 is released, but I'm indifferent to it. I will help you gather any info I see, however. I like to help others.

Hype for Half Life 3 has exploded ever since those "Half Life 3 confirmed" comments have trended on Facebook and other websites. It's also the fact that no game Valve creates ever goes past the second game (Counter Strike doesn't really count because they didn't number the games).

 

What I dream of happening (which probably won't happen) is that the third games of each of Valve's top titles (Half Life 3, Team Fortress 3, Left 4 Dead 3 and Portal 3) are all released at once in a bundle called "The Cube" - a pun on the power of 3 being called a "cube". It would absolutely trounce everything else in the entire games market in terms of sales.

Well the end of episode 2 happens in a hangar with a helicopter inside and there are some pretty neat easter eggs in portal 2 like the borealis and stuff. So half life 3 might happen, because half life 2 ended like... um how to say it... ended like it needs a sequel   so maybe we will see half life 3 confirmed   

 

Well at least for me i completed all half life games

Well, when it comes to Half-Life 3, from the looks of it might very well turn into the next Duke Nukem Forever. And that would just be horrible.

Or maybe it will be so much awesome (not TWILIGHT SPARKLE awesome but you know) that the writers, animators, and the actors have so much work that they can barely finish it and maybe it wont be the 6 hour game like deadpool (which is awesome) but will be a totaly new genre of games that IT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND!!!

Oh and yea might I add we are talking about Valve here they haven't made a game that people didn't like (That I'm aware of) I don't think its possible for them to pull such a feat that was Duke Nukem Forever. Although I have to say that the hype for Portal 2 didn't meet my expectation after I finished the game the trailers made it out to be more than it actually was (Still an amazing game the puzzles are quite inspiring)... but that's my only complaint!!!

Source is still capable of competing. It, as well as the Unreal Engine 3, though, is starting to show its age.

They announced Half-Life 2: Episode Three along with Episodes One and Two, so you can't say that they "never intended to make another."  They even released/leaked concept art shortly after Episode Two was released!

 

Since then, they've confirmed that they've abandoned the episodic structure, but have made continuing mentions of a new game in the works as late as last year.  Apparently they've just had too many changes of plans since 2007 to be able to confidently release any information about it in fear that it may be wrong by the time the game is released.

 

We know that it's coming; we just don't know when.

 

Well, when it comes to Half-Life 3, from the looks of it might very well turn into the next Duke Nukem Forever. And that would just be horrible.

 

DNF changed developers several times, many of whom had a spotty track record to begin with, and was released as a Frankensteinian heap of patched-together features spanning years.  If it looked like the next Half-Life would turn out that, way, Valve would probably just start over from scratch.  In fact, that's probably already happened.

As you requested. Yeah, there needs to be more to the story, I want to know what happens next 

and what the Borealis is, and I also want to know more on the "relationship" between Black Mesa and Aperture Laboratories/Science.

Valve will release Half Life 3 when they launch Source 2.0 It'll be their debut game on that engine.
